Preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ethyl (nee Doering) and daughter Barbara Kavanaugh.
Survived by sons, Robert (Patricia) of Frankfort, Jim (Nancy) of Chandler, Arizona, Albert (Lorna) of Vail, Colorado, ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
Mr. Hauser was a boiler maker.

Margaret K. Horvat nee Mali
Age 92. At rest Tuesday, January 21, 2003. born in South Chicago. Lifelong resident of Joliet.
Survived by two nieces, Mary Fran and Margaret Mali and sister in law Frances Mali, all of Crest Hill.
Preceded in death by her husband Andrew, two brothers, Anthony (Theresa) Mali and Frank (Frances) Mali, a niece, Lorraine Mali and her parents, Anton and Margaret Mali.
Member of K.S.K.J. St. Francis Society #29, St. Joseph Senior Parishioners and a member of the Rosarian Club.

Walter T. "Wally" Johnson
Age 85, of Wadsworth, formerly of Lemont, Thursday, January 23, 2003. born in Chicago, residing in Lemont from 1958-1991. Owned and operated, with his wife, Eleanor, "Tastee Freeze", Lemont, 1958-1970. Employed as Chef at the Beaten Path and Matterhorn Restaurants and Cog Hill Golf Club. Veteran of the Merchant Marines, 1939-1958. Member of Bethany Lutheran Church for over 43 years, member of the American Legion and the Varmland Club. Loyal member of the Lemont Lions Club for 40 years, serving in various capacities, including President, Treasurer, and Lion Tamer. He originated the Lions Chicken Dinner and Chili Supper.
Survived by his wife Eleanor (nee Gawell) Johnson; two sons, Ralph (Vilija) of Lemont and Eric (Denise) of Morris; a daughter, Cheryl (Mark) Thomas of Wadsworth; and eight grandchildren, Sara, Noel and Anna Thomas, Alyssa, Erika and Seth Johnson, Teja and Dustin Johnson.
Visitation Sunday, 2 to 8 PM at the Markiewicz Funeral Home, 108 Illinois St., Lemont. Lying in state, Monday January 27, 2003, 10:30 AM until time of Services at 11:30 AM at Bethany Lutheran Church, Lincoln and Lemont Sts., Lemont. Interment church cemetery. Catherine A. "Kay" Jones (Schaefer)
Age 84, passed away Friday, January 24, 2003 at Meadowbrook Manor, Bolingbrook. Late of New Lenox.
Survived by two daughters, Kathleen (Robert) Ollis of Allegan, MI, Suzanne Sherwood of New Lenox; three grandchildren, Drew (Sue) Hickey, Jennifer Gutilla, Kendall (Victor) Stachelski; and six great grandchildren, Vahn, Rhannon, Sammy, Ryan, Tyler, Casey.
She was born in Chicago and lived in New Lenox 30 years coming from Oak Forest.
Kay was a member of St. Jude Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Anne (Car) Schaefer, husband, Ellsworth Jones, four brothers and two sisters.
Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, Cedar at Francis Road, Sunday 1-6 p.m. Services Monday, January 27, 2003 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel to St. Jude Church for a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park.

Beloved mother of Stephan, Michael, Kenneth, Richard (Patricia), David (Mary), Johnny (Marilyn), Robert (Patricia) Leja and Cathy (John) Hamill; 14 grandchildren; and a great grandson.
Preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Amanda (nee Palica) Elliott.

Josephine I. (Ballun) Perchorowicz
Age 89. Tuesday, December 24, 2002 in Tucson, AZ. born in Joliet, married in 1947, moved to Palm Springs, CA in 1960 and retired to Tucson in 1994.Survived by her husband, John; her son, Jack of Tucson, AZ; her daughter, Judith Perchorowicz of California; and sister, Lucille (late George) Schmidberger of Coal City, IL. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.Preceded in death by her father, Thomas Ballun; her mother, Josephine (Zuchowski) Ballun; step mother, Louise (Baker) Ballun; three sisters, Ann Ballun, Eleanore (John) Dehm and Agnes (Joe) Suste; and two brothers, Arthur and Aloysius (late Mary Lou) Ballun.Memorial Services were held in Tucson, AZ on January 11, 2003.

Floriss (Dennis) Austin Reitz
Shorewood, IL. - Mrs. Floriss Reitz, of Shorewood, died Monday, January 20, 2003.
She was born January 30, 1912, in Genoa City, WI, to William and Josephine (Sax) Dennis. She had a younger sister, Veretta (Dennis) Orr, and a younger brother, Stanley Dennis.
As a teenager, she was an accomplished horseback rider and loved to ice skate. She also worked along side her father performing all the regular chores on the family farm, including, but not limited to, milking cows, working the fields with a team of horses and later with a tractor.
At 18, Floriss wed Edwin Austin, of Richmond, IL, on June 8, 1930, in Woodstock, IL. They had three sons: William, Charles and Donald. The couple divorced in 1955.
On July 19, 1959, Floriss wed Raymond Reitz in St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, Joliet, IL. They remained married until her death.
She is survived by her son, Charles Austin and wife, Adrienne of Naperville, IL, husband, Raymond Reitz of Shorewood, sister-in-law, Arleen (Austin) Eastabrooks, of Richmond, sister-in-law, Leona (Sampson) Austin, of Seattle, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Community Church of Richmond, 5714 Broadway St., Richmond, IL. The Rev. Lee M. Jany will officiate.

Phyllis E. Rodighiero nee Ratajik
Age 75, late of Lockport, Thursday, January 23, 2003 at Hinsdale Hospital. born in Chicago, living in Lockport most of her life. Owner and operator of Mr. Steak Restaurant in Joliet from 1969-1980. Realtor for Bell Realty for 15 years, retiring in 1990. Active in Dist. 92 PTA, Will Co. 4-H, Will Co. Republican Party, former member of the Board of Directors for the Continental Inn, Key Colony Beach, FL, lifetime member of the 95th Infantry Division Assoc. "Iron Men of Metz" and original member of the Forest Hills Bridge/Canasta Card Club.
Preceded in death by her husband, Victor, her parents, Felix and Irene (Wolter) Ratajik. Survived by her children, April L. Rodighiero of Lockport, Debra E. Rodighiero of Denver, CO, Glenn V. (Corrine) of Shorewood, twin granddaughters Caitlyn and Nicole Rodighiero, a brother-in-law, Thomas (Jane) Rodeghiero of Lockport, and a cousin, Mildred Sekera of LaGrange Park. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Lyle L. Wills
Passed away at his residence with his family by his side, Thursday, January 23, 2003. Age 86.
Surviving are his loving, caring and devoted wife of 66 years, Helen (nee Palya) Wills; dearest daughter, Penny Wills of Joliet. Five grandchildren, Nicolette (Thomas) Belczak of Darien, IL, Danielle (Edward) Nordskog of Sam Clarita, CA, Kevin Wills of Coal City, IL, Bryan (Allison) Wills of St. Mary's, GA, and Jeffery Wills of Deltona, FL; seven great grandchildren, Sara, Chloe and Sophia Belczak, Chet and Mitch Nordskog, and Madison and Chance Wills. His brother, Oliver (Eleanor, deceased) Wills of Joliet; and his sister, Esther (Stanley, deceased) Mateski of Joliet. Six sisters-in-law, Rosemary (Bill) Kania, Dorothy (Thomas, deceased) Trainer, Marie (Michael, deceased) Palya, Evelyn Wills, Eunice Wills and Zeta Wills; a brother-in-law, Howard (Mary) Palya, and a good friend, Ronald (Fran) Smeets.
He was preceded in death by his loving son, Larry L. Wills (1983), a son in infancy (1950), his parents, Clarence and Florence Wills; his step father, Albert Gustafson; three brothers, Clifford, Clarence and Everett Wills; and a sister, Pearl McElvain.
Owner and operator of Phillips 66 and Sinclair Service Station in Ingalls Park from 1945 to 1962. Also Phillips 66 Service Station in Shorewood from 1962 to 1968. Retired from Lockport Manufacturing Co. in 1978. Member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Lyle was involved with the Braille Workshop and Senior Fellowship at his church. Volunteered at Sunny Hill Nursing Home. Member of the Coal City Area Club. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. Lying in state at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1910 Black Rd, Monday, January 27, 2003 form 9:30 AM until Services at 10 AM. Rev. Klaus Mehrl officiating. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials to Our Savior Lutheran Church Building Fund will be appreciated. Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.

Marjorie A. Davidson (Peterson)
Age 73, of Morris, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2004 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
Survivors include her loving children: Robert (Shirley) Olson of Channahon, Connie (Richard) Kovacevich of Elwood and Andy (Kelly) Davidson of Braidwood. Eleven dear grandchildren and five great grandchildren. One brother Elmer Ralph Peterson of Morris and several nieces and nephews.
Margie is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bernard, son Daniel, granddaughter Kimberly Ann Olson, sister Dorothy Legg and brother Kenneth Bannon.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Reeves Funeral Home in Morris. Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris with Rev. Robert Hoffenkamp officiating. Burial will be in Saratoga Cemetery.
Preferred memorials in Margie's name may be made to her family for charities of their choice.

Barbara J. Guertin
Age 59. died Friday, January 23, 2004, after a courageous battle with cancer. Barbara was at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her daughter, Lori Moody and her son, Brian M. Guertin. Also survived by two grandsons, Brandon and Alec Moody all of Joliet. Two sisters, Mary (W.C.) Martin of Sarasota, FL, and Dorothy (James) Ruzon of Shorewood. Special friend, Kathy "Cookie" (Billy) Vidrine of Lake Charles, LA. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents John J. and Marie M. "Peggy" Nussbaum (1991). One brother John J. "Jack" Nussbaum Jr. (1971).
A lifelong resident of Joliet, she graduated from Providence High School, class of 1962. Retired from Nalco Chemical Co. in Naperville, IL in May 2003.
