Mr. George D. Martz, Jr., 66, of 1157 Illinois Hwy 167 Oneida, IL, died at 1:19 PM Thursday December 28, 2000 at his home. His funeral will be 11:30 AM Wednesday January 3, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Kirk Kendall officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church.
He was born on June 16, 1934 in Galesburg to George and Juanita May (Nichols) Martz, Sr. He married Violet Rose Kane in Galesburg in 1957. She survives.
He worked for Illinois Power Company for 43 years, retiring in 1995. He was an avid bowler, golfer and fisherman. He was a member of the Little John Conservation Club and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Martz of Oneida, IL; a daughter, Gloria Bailey of Oneida, IL; nieces and nephews. A brother, William J. Martz, preceded him in death.

Mrs. Eugenia M. Taylor Hall, 96, of 280 E. Losey Street Galesburg, IL, died at 1:50 PM Saturday March 24, 2001 at Heartland Health Care Center, Galesburg, IL. Her funeral will be 1:00 PM Saturday March 31, 2001 at Israel of God Church with Rev. Harold Boyd, Bishop Ronald Henton, and Bishop Rollie Ewing officiating. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the Church. Memorials may be made to the Israel of God Church.
She was born on April 28, 1904 in Galesburg to Fred and Catherine (Mayfield) Green. She married Berthol Taylor on July 25, 1925. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1965. She then married Sam Hall, Sr. in Galesburg on February 14, 1971. He preceded her in death on February 14, 1979.
She is survived by five daughters, Christine Haynes, Marilyn Haynes, Elizabeth Taylor, Shirley Wallace and Betty Weeks, all of Galesburg, IL; three sons, James Taylor, Robert Taylor and William Taylor, all of Galesburg, IL; 23 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Mr. Alvin L. Loveridge, 80, of 46 Hawkinson Avenue Galesburg, IL, died at 11:49 PM Sunday March 25, 2001 at his home. His funeral will be 10:00 AM Wednesday March 28, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Joe Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to Community Hospice of America or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
He was born on August 23, 1920 in Galesburg to Thomas and Pearl (Wilson) Loveridge. He married Mildred Irene Watson in Henderson IL on August 3, 1941. She survives.
He farmed in the Coldbrook area for many years. He was an over-the-road driver for Burlington Truck Lines for 20 years, retiring in 1974. He was a member of the Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post #285 and the Viola Lodge #577 A.F. and A.M. He served in the Army during World War II in the European Theatre.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Loveridge of Galesburg, IL; a son, Bill Loveridge of North Bend, WA; two daughters, Lewanda Lowery of Andover, IL and Dixie McCreight of Alexis, IL; a sister, Opal Gillan of WI; a brother, Roger Loveridge of Rio, IL; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A brother and two sisters preceded him in death.

Mr. Howard L. Daugherty, 75, of 522 Newman Knoxville, IL, died at 1:55 PM Friday March 23, 2001 at his home. His funeral will be 1:30 PM Wednesday March 28, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Jerald Hill officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday March 27, 2001 at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to Community Hospices of America or American Lung Association.
He was born on May 5,1925 in New Windsor IL to John and Elsie (Noonan) Daugherty. He married Mary Jane Stead on August 21, 1948 in Palmyra MO.
He worked for 9 years at the Knoxville Mining Company then for 26 years as a machine operator at Butler Manufacturing Company, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the Knoxville Christian Church and served in the US Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Daugherty of Knoxville, IL; a son, Larry Daugherty of Monmouth, IL; a daughter, Linda Martin of Galesburg, IL; a brother, John Daugherty of Knoxville, IL; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Four brothers preceded him in death.

Mrs. Peggy D. Miller, 45, of 343 N. Seminary St. Galesburg, IL, died at 10:03 AM Thursday March 22, 2001at Galesburg Cottage Hospital, Galesburg, IL. Graveside services will be 1:30PM Tuesday March 27, 2001 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Ray Cameron officiating. Visitation will be from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday March 26, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to the family.
She was born on October 23, 1955 in Galesburg to Charles and Patricia (Clary) Miller. She worked 14 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Rosewood Care Center.
She is survived by her mother, Patricia Miller of Galesburg, IL; a son, Nicholas Miller of Denver, CO; three sisters, Joyce Bunz of Denver, CO, Kathy Corbin of Holiday, FL and Glenna Williams of Galesburg, IL; a brother, Glenn Miller of Denver, CO; a friend, Rodney Goodwin and a grandchild.

Mrs. Barbara J. Sargeant, 63, of 204 Bailey East Galesburg, IL, died at 11:15 PM Thursday March 22, 2001 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital, Galesburg, IL. Her funeral will be 10:00AM Monday March 26, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Milton Marquith officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. She was a volunteer librarian for the Raymond Marquith Elementary School in East Galesburg from 1980 - 1985.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Sargeant of East Galesburg, IL; two sons, Brett Thomas Sargeant of East Galesburg, IL and Greyling Donald Sargeant of Galesburg, IL; two daughters, Angelique "Angie" Wyman of Gilson, IL and Terri Wyman of Galesburg, IL; four sisters, Candy Holeman and Phyllis Swigart, both of Knoxville, IL, Rose Martz of Oneida, IL, Linda Rodgers of Galesburg, IL and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Margaret R. Taylor, 82, of 280 E. Losey Street Galesburg, IL, died at 2:45 AM Thursday March 22, 2001 at Heartland Health Care Center, Galesburg, IL. Private family graveside services will be Wednesday March 28, 2001 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was born on October 14, 1918 in Galesburg IL to Roy R. and Margaret (Daugherty) Nelson. She was a nurse’s aide at the Galesburg State Research Hospital for 10 years, retiring in 1964.
She is survived by two sons, Steven Taylor of Las Vegas, NV and Daniel Van Winkle of Belle Nead, NJ and two grandchildren.

Mr. Fred N. Dollinger, 79, of 1465 Florence Avenue Galesburg, IL, died at 12:30 am Thursday March 22, 2001 at Heartland Health Care Center, Galesburg, IL. His funeral will be 10:00 AM Tuesday March 27, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Kevin Treptow officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday March 26, 2001 at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to Faith United Methodist Church or the World War II Memorial Fund.
He was born on May 5, 1921 in Galesburg IL to Charles and Jessie (Nelson) Dollinger. He married Viola S. Fields in Palmyra MO on April 16, 1942. She preceded him in death on October 30, 1991.
He worked at Maytag Manufacturing for 43 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member and trustee board member of the Faith United Methodist Church. He also belonged to the United Methodist Men of the Church. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II.
He is survived by a son, Brent Dollinger of Beason, IL, a brother, Gene Dollinger of Wataga, IL, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A daughter, Susan Dollinger, and a grandson, Jeffrey Dollinger, preceded him in death.

Mrs. Geneva J. Crouch, 81, of 1318 Moshier Avenue Galesburg, IL, died at 11:45 PM Wednesday March 21, 2001 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, IL. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Saturday March 24, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Pastor Carol Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
She was born on October 9, 1919 in Rio IL to George and Pearl (Wilstead) Hendricks. She married John D. Crouch in Peoria IL on June 26, 1937. He preceded her in death on October 11, 1979.
She was a hairdresser at the SirPrize Beauty Shop. She also maintained the North Gate Bowling Lanes for many years. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served as an election judge for many years.
She is survived by a son, John Crouch of Union City, CA; a daughter, Patricia Rader of Knoxville, IL, several nieces and nephews; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Three brothers, a sister and a daughter, Dina Nelson, preceded her in death.

Miss Gladys L. Lawrence, 88, of 100 Pine Street Galesburg, IL, died at 1:00 AM Thursday March 22, 2001 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Knoxville, IL. Graveside services will be 1:30 PM Monday March 26, 2001 at Linwood Cemetery with Mr. Walter Wade officiating. Memorials may be made to Charity of the Donor's Choice.
She was born on May 1, 1912 in Galesburg to Clifford and Florence (Frakes) Lawrence. She was the owner and operator of the Grandview Restaurant that she and her sister built and opened in 1952. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness.
She is survived by three nieces including Lorinda Barlow of Galesburg, IL, four nephews, six great nieces and six great nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Mrs. Erma Dorothea Nelson, 86, of 275 E. Carl Sandburg Drive Galesburg, IL, died at 10:15 PM Wednesday March 21, 2001 at Marigold Health Care Center, Galesburg, IL. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Saturday March 24, 2001 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Tom Heather officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Family.
She was born on September 9, 1914 in Hampton NB to Henry and Anna (Otte) Driewer. She married Harold E. Nelson in Reno NV on July 12, 1943. He preceded her in death on May 6, 1989. She worked at Sudzy's Laundry for 21 years, retiring in 1979. She attended the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #258 Auxiliary.
She is survived by two daughters, Lois Fuller of Galesburg, IL and Nadene Ryner of Oneida, IL, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

Mr. Randall 'Randy' Rogers, 35, of 486 N. West Street Galesburg, IL, died at 5:16 PM Wednesday March 21, 2001 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital, Galesburg, IL. His funeral will be 11:30 AM Monday March 26, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Shalom Renner and Mrs. Marilyn Anell officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday March 25, 2001 at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to the family.
He was born on November 10, 1965 in Long Beach CA to John and Marilyn (Mulligan) Rogers. He married Debra Walter in Galesburg on November 16, 1996. She survives.
He was a steelworker at Butler Manufacturing Company. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Steelworkers of America Local #2629, the Harley Owners Group (HOG) and ABATE.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Rogers of Galesburg, IL; mother, Marilyn Meyer of Galesburg, IL; father, John Rogers of Abingdon, IL; Step-son, Shawn Hilligoss of Galesburg, IL; Step-daughter, Tara Hilligoss of Galesburg, IL; Daughter, Amber Rogers of Galesburg, IL; two brothers, John Rogers of Keithsburg, IL and Rob Rogers of Abingdon, IL.

Mrs. Helen J. Nordgren, 94, of 2245 N. Seminary St. Galesburg, IL, died at 9:38 AM Wednesday March 21, 2001 at Seminary Manor Nursing Home, Galesburg, IL. Her funeral will be 1:00 PM Saturday March 24, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Joe Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Avon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday March 23, 2001 at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
She was born on August 5, 1906 in Galesburg to August and Freda (Carlson) Grahn. She married Klaus H. "Coonie" Nordgren in Galesburg on August 6, 1932. He preceded her in death on September 14, 1980. She was a secretary at Wagoner Printing Company for 7 years and then at the former Galesburg Mental Health Center for 13 years, retiring in 1970. She was a member of the Emmanuel Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Kay Laird of Oneida, IL; a son, Rollin Nordgren of Bella Vista, AR; a sister, Margaret Schisler of Normal, IL; a niece, Betty Kempf of Galesburg, IL; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Three brothers and a sister preceded her in death.

Mrs. Rosella M. Kuntz, 77, of 1536 Meadow Dr. Galesburg, IL, died at 1:38 PM Tuesday March 20, 2001 at Rosewood Care Center, Galesburg, IL. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Friday March 23, 2001 at East Linwood Cemetery with Rev. Thomas Heather officiating. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
She was born on May 28, 1923 in Sedgwick County KS to Ezra and Rose (Woodward) Willis. She married Joseph L. Kuntz in Leavenworth KS on January 31, 1946. He preceded her in death on April 29, 1990.
She worked for Drs. Cannon, Holland and Paisley, retiring in 1968.
She is survived by a daughter, Kay Anderson of San Carlos, CA; two sons, Karl Kuntz of Nioda, IL and Keith Kuntz of Galesburg, IL; a brother, Jess Willis of CA; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Two brothers preceded her in death.

Mrs. Elsie P. Carlson, 97, of 1384 N. Henderson Street Galesburg, IL, died at 10:00 AM Thursday March 15, 2001 at her home. Her funeral will be 12:00 Noon Monday March 19, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Paul Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Galva Cemetery, Galva. She was born on February 22, 1904 in Aledo IL to Emil and Mary (Edlund) Wilson. She married LaVerne T. Carlson, Sr. in Altona IL on March 7, 1930. He preceded her in death on January 6, 1989.
She was an operator at the Galva (IL) Telephone Company. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and the Royal Neighbors of America.
She is survived by a son, LaVerne Carlson, Jr. of Galva, IL; a daughter, Myrtis Collinson of Galesburg, IL; two nieces; two nephews; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.

Mrs. Sigrid G. Trask, 91, of 1286 E. Fremont Street Galesburg, IL, died at 11:53 PM Wednesday March 14, 2001 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital, Galesburg, IL. Her funeral will be 10:00 AM Monday March 19, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Frederick E. Larner officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Sunday March 18, 2001 at the Chapel.
She was born on March 8, 1910 in Galesburg to Carl and Anna (Johnson) Gustafson. She married Robert S. Trask in Galesburg in June 1937. He survives.
She was a 1928 graduate of Galesburg High School and a graduate of the Sherwood Music School in Chicago. She taught for 20 years. She was a concert pianist. She played the piano at her church, First Lutheran Church, and other churches in the area. She was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota Music Sorority.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Trask of Galesburg, IL and two sisters, Marjorie Gustafson and Virginia Gustafson, both of Galesburg, IL. Another sister preceded her in death.

Mrs. Darlene V. Bennett, 88, of 1477 Williams Street Galesburg, IL, died at 11:10 AM Wednesday March 14, 2001 at Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville, IL. Her funeral will be 1:30 PM Saturday March 17, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Kevin Treptow officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to Older Americans of Knox (O.A.K.S.)
She was born on August 11, 1912 in Galesburg to Lewis and Mary Montgomery. She married Rolland Moore who preceded her in death. She then married Charles Robert Bennett in Galesburg on March 8, 1963. He survives.
She worked at the Howe-Anderson Bakery and other bakeries for many years as a cake decorator. She also worked 10 years at Admiral Appliance Company. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, White Shrine, Older Americans of Knox, American Legion Auxiliary and the Machinist's Retiree Club.
She is survived by he husband, Charles Robert Bennett of Galesburg, IL; two daughters, Judith McNabb of Flagstaff, AZ and Jacqueline Nesbitt of Galesburg, IL; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. One brother and three sisters preceded him in death.
