A graveside service for Reida L.Palmer was conducted by Reverend Keith Killinger at 11 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2006, at Warren County Memorial Park cemetery. Pallbearers were Ron Darnell, Dan Merry, Phil Bergren and Dick Bowman. Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth was in charge of the arrangements.

Ernest J. Johnson

Ernest J. Johnson, 67, of Roseville, died at 9:57 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at Community Medical Center in Monmouth.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2006, at Corman Memorial Home in Roseville with the Rev. Jean Hembrough officiating.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Corman Memorial Home in Roseville.

Burial will be at Roseville Memorial Park cemetery in Roseville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Swan Creek United Methodist Church.

Tyler P. Montooth

A funeral service for infant Tyler P. Montooth was conducted by Pastor David Dutton at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Interment was at the Little York cemetery in Little York. Pallbearers were Eddie Cassiday, Chris Smith, Eric Heyveld and Roman Gonzalez.

Theodore E. Johnson

A funeral service for Theodore E. Johnson was conducted by Pastor Paul Lydic at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Janice Algren was organist. John Johnson was vocalist. Honorary pallbearers were his grandchildren Mike Johnson, Marty Johnson, John Young, Brian Gaskill, Keith Johnson, Stacy Chandler, Johnny Ulm and Carl Berg. Cremation was accorded following the service.

Beatryce J. Cooper

A funeral service for Beatryce J. Cooper was conducted by Rev. William Myers of Faith United Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel in Monmouth. Barb Gossett was organist. The selections of "How Great Thou Art," "Amazing Grace," and "Just A Closer Walk With Thee" were played. Casketbearers were Kristie Murdock, Ron Murdock, Randy Cooper, Lindsay Murdock, Jake Murdock, Mollie Murdock and David Cooper. Honorary Casketbearers were Pauline Howe, Elaine Speck, Barbara Hawk, Jackie Lam, Betty Whitehall, Mary Dowell and Rolyn Olson. Interment was at Penial cemetery in Joy, Ill.

Harold M. Damewood

A funeral service for Harold M. Damewood was conducted by Rev. Ken Muck of Countryside Bible Church. Leo Ramer was the organist. Robert Riley was soloist. The selections, "How Great Thou Art," and "In The Garden" were played. Casketbearers were Steve Damewood, Jason Damewood, Gary Finch, Bill Clayton, Bennie Knox, Tim Carter and Bret Damewood. Interment was in Monmouth cemetery in Monmouth.

John R. Schantz

John R. Schantz, 88, of Monmouth, died at 6:05 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2006, at the Monmouth Nursing Home in Monmouth.

A memorial service is planned at a later date. Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth is in charge of the arrangements.

Cremation is being accorded.

A memorial is being established for the Monmouth Nursing Home, or the Discovery Depot Children's Museum.

Edward Raymond Smith

Edward R. Smith, 81, of rural Little York, died at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at his home.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2006, at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth with Pastor David Dutton of the Little Cedar Presbyterian Church, Little York officiating.

Burial will be in Little York cemetery.

Friends may call on Friday, March 3, 2006, at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth where his family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorials may be left for the Little York Farmeretts or the Little Cedar Presbyterian Church.

Clarence LeRoy Hill

Memorial services were held for Clarence LeRoy Hill at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2006, at Village Baptist Church, Alexis with the Pastor Peter Kolb officiating. Organist Marlene Edwards was the organist playing the selections "How Great Thou Art" and "In The Garden". Casketbearers were Wayne Duncan, Bill Duncan, Matthew Anderson, Dave Duncan, Moses Anderson, Ray Price. Honorary Casketbearers were Mike Maloy, Gary Icenogle, Roger Smith, and Joel Beard. Interment was in Alexis cemetery, Alexis. Arrangements were made by Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Alexis.

James D. "Jim" Elliott

James D. "Jim" Elliott, 50, of Monmouth, passed away on Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at the Community Medical Center in Monmouth. A memorial service was conducted by Rev. Jim Epperson at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2006, at Turnbull Funeral Home. Cremation was accorded following the service.

Ruth B. Lyons

Ruth B. Lyons, 86, of Galesburg, died at 6:25 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at Seminary Manor, Galesburg.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, at Coldbrook Christian Church with Rev. Becky Ingram officiating.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Burial will be in Mosher cemetery, Alexis.

June A. Lenover

A funeral service for June A. Lenover was conducted by Pastor Jack Carey on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Turnbull Funeral Home, Monmouth. Interment was in the Monmouth cemetery, Monmouth. Pallbearers were Juan Villegas, Guadalupe Villegas, Roger Castro, Bryon Hasting, Tom Richardson, Joe Shafer, Craig Tabb, Steve McHenry, Sean McHenry and Mickey Pippenger. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Nichols and Mike Shafer.

John P. Atlogic

A memorial service for John P. Atlogic was conducted by Reverend Robert Adams at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka. Cremation was accorded.

Virgil Todd

A funeral service for Virgil Todd was conducted by Pastor Davey Lefler at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Pallbearers were his grandchildren. Interment was in the Center Grove cemetery, Kirkwood. Military honors were accorded by the Marion B. Fletcher Post 136 and the J.W. Clendenin V.F.W. Post 2301. Chaplain was Wayne Scott. Commander was Dan Merry.

Quincey A. Cole

A funeral service for Quincey A. Cole was conducted by Reverend Gerald Marlow at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at the Foursquare Gospel Church in Monmouth. Interment was in the Monmouth cemetery. Pallbearers were Pam Stonehouse and Sheila Hetrick. Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth was in charge of the arrangements.

Donald E. Cavins

Donald E. Cavins, 82, of Burlington died at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at his residence.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20th, in Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends following Masonic Rites at 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

The funeral for Mr. Cavins will be Friday, April 21st, at 10 a.m. in First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. William Salzmann officiating. Burial will be in Raritan cemetery, Raritan, Illinois.

Memorials have been established for First Presbyterian Church and Great River Hospice.

Fred R. De Waele

Fred R. De Waele, 89, of Springfield, formerly of Monmouth, died at 10:05 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at the St. John's Hospice, Springfield.

Cremation has been accorded. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2006 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel in Monmouth with the Reverend Jon Sims of the First United Methodist Church of Monmouth officiating. Interment of ashes will follow in Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth. Friends may call on Friday, April 21, 2006, at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, where his family will receive one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, the First Methodist Church, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
