Andrea Kay Boucher
Andrea Kay (Colp) Boucher, 36, of Pinckneyville, Illinois, died Saturday, June 21 at 9:10 p.m. at the intersection of Old Rt. 14 and Rt. 14 east of DuQuoin.
Andrea was born November 18, 1966 in DuQuoin to Troy and Nancy (Welch) Colp.
She married David C. Boucher April 29, 1995 in at St. Andrews Church in Murphysboro. He survives in Pinckneyville.
Other survivors include her parents of Royalton; her mother-in-law and step-father-in-law, Carol Garvalia and J. C. Garavalia of Carbondale and her father-in-law, Charles Boucher of Murphysboro; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Brock and Cindy Colp of Johnston City and Mark Colp of Royalton; a niece, Brandy Colp of Johnston City; two nephews, Tyler Boucher of McCleansboro, Joseph Colp of Royalton and step-nephew of T. J. Whitecotton of Johnston City; her maternal grandparents, Earl and Helen Welch of Royalton; Florence Boucher of Murphysboro and Marie Gatewood of Louisville, Kentucky; an aunt, Doris Harris of DuQuion; an uncle, Andrew Welch of Coconut Creek, Florida; a brother-in-law, Kevin Boucher of Murphysboro and two pet cats, Harley and Leaf.
Andrea was the Controller at Rend Lake College for the past ten years and a graduate of Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. She had worked as an accountant at John A. Logan College. Andrea was an avid scrapbooker and member several organizations.
Funeral services for Andrea were held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 27, 2003 at Vantrease Funeral Home in Royalton with Monsignor Ken Schaefer officiating. Burial was at Miners cemetery east of Royalton. Visiting hours were after 6:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial gift donations in memory of Andrea may be made to the Rend Lake College Foundation, 468 Ken Gray Parkway, Ina, IL 629846, Attention, Pat Mitchell.

Lillian Caroline Bowers
Mrs. Lillian Caroline Bowers, of Nashville, formerly of Du Bois, departed this life at the Friendship Manor Health Care Center in Nashville on Friday, June 20, 2003 at 2 p.m. She was 95.
Mrs. Bowers was born at Du Bois on January 30, 1908, the daughter of Henry and Emma (nee Hesker) Bender. She was untied in marriage to Lyman 'Lee' Bowers at Paducah, Ky. on April 16, 1933 and to this union two sons were born. He preceded her in death on March 10, 1996.
Lillian was a homemaker and was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Nashville. Mrs. Bowers served her church as pianist and a Sunday school teacher for several years. Lillian was also active in the Washington County Hospital Auxiliary and the Washington County Home Extension.
Left to mourn her passing are two sons, Glen L. Bowers and wife Diana of rural Ashley and Alan R. Bowers Sr. and wife Jill of Nashville; five grandchildren, William Lee Bowers and wife Diane of Olathe, Kansas, Robert Dean Bowers and wife Sara of Aurora, Colorado, Alan R. Bowers Jr. and wife Lori of Du Bois, Amy Ruth Thompson and husband Scott of Nashville and Aaron Ross Bowers of Newark, Delaware; six great-grandchildren, Christopher, David, Jacob and Galen Bowers and Sydney and Emily Thompson; nieces; nephews, other relations and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, L. Lee Bowers; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Bowers; two brothers, William Bender in infancy and Arthur Bender and a grandchild, Glenda Kay Bowers.
Funeral services were held at the Campagna Funeral Home of Nashville on Monday, June 23 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bill Carter officiating. Interment was in the Masonic Cemetery of Nashville.
Friends called at the Campagna Funeral Home Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 7:30 a.m. until time of services.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Nashville.

Emma Jean Young Bradley
Emma Jean 'Tiby' Young Bradley, 72, of Kent, Washington and formerly of Royalton, died Saturday, June 14, 2003 in Seattle, Washington.
Tiby was born February 9, 1931 in Royalton to Walter 'Nip' and Nora Lee (Capps) Young.
She married Jack Bradley on June 28, 1951 in Chicago. He survives in Kent, Washington. She is also survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Jacquline and Tim Long of Kent, Washington and Brenda Lee Bradley of Denver, Colorado; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Tiby is also survived by three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Inez Miller of Royalton, Ethel & Buddy Hill of Mesa, Arizona and Norma Lee and Jim Bennett of Royalton and one brother, Pete Young of Royalton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and special friends.
She was preceded by her parents and a son, David Bradley.
Private family services were held in Kent, Washington.

Ignatius Campanella
Ignatius Campanella, 80, of Willisville, passed away at 2:20 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2003 in Willisville.
Mr. Campanella was a member of Landmark Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Sparta and a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II. He was a member of Alva Courier American Legion Post 487 in Chester, Kaskaskia VFW Post 3553 in Chester and the UMWA Local 1392 of Percy.
He was the retired owner and operator of Campanello Grocery Store in Willisville and had retired from Captain Mine.
He was born Friday, November 24, 1922 in Willisville, the son of Gus and Pearl Dolce Campanella. He married Theodora G. Irwin on April 30, 1949 in Pinckneyville.
Surviving are his wife, Theodora G. Campanella of Willisville; one son, Robert (Bobby) & Donna Campanella of Willisville; two daughters, Martha & Dale Mezel of Willisville and Kimberly Campanella of Carbondale; two granddaughters, Jessica & Ryan Fisher of Ava and Marcy Lietz of Willisville; one step-grandson, Brian Mezel of Coulterville; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Campanella of Maryville, Tenn. and Frank Campanella of Indianapolis, Ind. and two sisters, Fannie Brown of St. Louis, Mo. and Angie Specia of St. Louis, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Funeral services were Tuesday, June 10 at 11 a.m. at First Pentecostal Church in Pinckneyville with Rev. Larry Blake officiating. Interment was in the IOOF Cemetery in Pinckneyville.
Friends called at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville after 6 p.m. on Monday and on Tuesday from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., then from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Military graveside services were performed by the Kaskaskia VFW Post 3553 of Chester.
Memorials may be made to Landmark Apostolic Church of Sparta or Alzheimer's.

Jesse F. George
Jesse F. George, of Franklin, Kentucky, formerly of the Pinckneyville area, died April 1. 2002 in Simpson County, Kentucky.
Jesse was born in King Fisher, Oklahoma on October 31, 1959, a son of Marvin E. and Betty (Koch) George.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Swain of Pinckneyville; one daughter, Jessica George of Kentucky; three brothers, Marvin George of Pinckneyville, Frank George of Kentucky and Charles George of Pinckneyville and four sisters, Donna Queen of South Carolina, Sarah Vaneeckhoute of Kentucky, Sandy Daudy of New Athens and Peggy Patterson of Pinckneyville. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin E. George and one brother, Bobby George.
Graveside funeral services were held on Monday, June 16 at 1 p.m. at the Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, with Rev. Rob Mathis officiating.
Arrangements were by Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville.

Stanley E. Greathouse
Stanley E. Greathouse, 86, of Johnsonville, passed away at 3:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Greathouse was a farmer, teacher and administrator. He was born December 11, 1916 in Wayne county, the son of Keith and Maude (Holler) Greathouse. He married Iona Lamb on September 2, 1941 in Perryville, Mo. and she preceded him in death in January 1982. He later married Vera (Ferguson) Beard in Wayne County in 1984.
Mr. Greathouse was a member of Community of Christ Church Poplar Creek Branch and a U.S. Army veteran of WW II.
Upon graduation from Salem High School, he worked on a farm in northern Illinois and a steel mill at Sterling to pay his tuition to Southern Illinois University at Carbondale where he received his bachelor of arts degree in social studies in 1938. He taught for four years at Wild Cat and 11 years at Brown, Concord and Mills, which were all one room schools. He served in the army from 1941 to 1944. He then entered farming, raising grain and livestock, while continuing to teach. In 1957 he became teacher and principal at Orchardville Grade School.
In 1973 he was honored as Conservation Teacher of the Year by the local conservation district and also district 13. The next year, he was presented with the Distinguished Service Award in Public School Administration by Phi Delta Kappa at SIU. In 1977, WMCL Radio in McLeansboro awarded him the Community Service Award. Stanley retired in 1977 after 32 years as a teacher and administrator.
He became a director on the Wayne-White Electric Cooperative Board in 1964, where he served as assistant treasurer in 1970, president from 1972 to 1975 and vice president from 1976 to 1977. He served as Wayne-White Electric's representative on the AIEC state board, was elected vice president of the board in 1972, then served as president until 1977. Stanley represented Illinois as its director on the board of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association in Washington for 10 years.
His other memberships include the Illinois Retired Teachers Association, serving as its regional director and on committees for budget and insurance; National Education Association; Wayne County Association for Retarded Children; Wayne County Farm Bureau; the Farmer's Union and the Wayne County Cooperative Extension Service. Stanley helped for the Wayne County Health Department and served on the Wayne County Health Board.
Stanley had long been active in his local church, serving as pastor to the Poplar Creek and Brush Creek congregations of the Community of Christ, performing many wedding and funeral ceremonies of former students, friends and associates. To put it simply, he has made life better in his neighborhood.
Surviving are his wife, Vera Greathouse of Johnsonville; one daughter, Ann Schwengel and husband Jon of Du Quoin; two grandchildren, Erika Clements and husband Joe of Marion and Andrew Schwengel, U.S. Navy, Jacksonville, Fla.; two great-grandchildren, Ellie and Jake Clements of Marion; one brother, Arthur Greathouse and wife Dorothy of Mountain Home, Arkansas and one sister, Wanda Ires of Laguna Hills, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Iona, and one brother, Darrel.
Funeral services were Saturday at 2 p.m. at Poplar Creek Community of Christ Church in Orchardville with Evangelist Marvin Kleinau officiating. Interment was in Poplar Creek Cemetery in rural Wayne County.
Friends called Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora and from 12 p.m. Saturday until service time at the church.
Memorials may be made to Poplar Creek Community of Christ.
