Lavenia (Jolly) Waite
Mrs. Lavenia (Jolly) Waite, 90, of 514 N. Main St., Harrisburg, died Friday, Feb. 26, 1999 at 8:55 p.m. at her residence.
She was married to Leslie F. Waite on April 20, 1931. He survives. Also surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Farrel and Wanda Waite, and Dale Waite, all of Harrisburg, Jay and wife, Judy Waite of Carrolton, Texas; three sisters, Pauline Hazelett of Ainsworth, Iowa, Marjorie Veeke of Texas, and Edith Casella of Chicago; eight grandchildren, Steven Waite of Long Island, N.Y., Marilyn (Waite) Tomkow of Harrisburg, Glynda (Waite) Fulbright of Lakeland, Fla., Ryan Waite of Waterloo, Kim (Waite) Camp of Snellville, Ga., Jae Lynn Waite, Dallas, Texas, Traci (Waite) Adams of Galatia, and Bryan Waite, USMC, Camp Lejuene, N.C.; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death a son, Jerry Lee Waite in 1949, three brothers, Leewell Jolly, Francis Jolly, and Benny Jolly, and two sisters, Emily and Geneva.
She was born on Aug. 3, 1908, in Olney, to the late Lee and Effie (Starnec ker) Jolly.
She was a member of the Harrisburg First Baptist Church.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg, where friends may call after 9:30 a.m. until service time. The Rev. Mike Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Raleigh Masonic cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the V.N.A. Hospice.

Donna Stacy
Mrs. Donna Stacy, 62, wife of Charles Stacy, of Shawneetown, died at 3:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 1999 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.
She was born in Shawneetown to the late Robert Caldwell and to Dorothy (Fuller) Frields of Shawneetown.
She was a member of the Shawneetown First Presbyterian Church.
She was married on April 23, 1961, to Charles Stacy. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and James Krikie of Shawneetown; her mother, Dorothy Frields of Shawneetown; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Carroll and Robbie Crane and Betty Jo and Jim Head, both of Shawneetown and Sue and Jerry Wenzel of Junction; and a granddaughter, Dakota Krikie.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hogan cemetery in Shawneetown. The Rev. Ron Johnson will officiate. There will be no visitation at Vickery Funeral Home in Shawneetown. Those attending should go directly to the cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Shawneetown.

Beverly Lynn Edwards
Mrs. Beverly Lynn Edwards, 50, of Rural, Elizabethtown, wife of Wayne Edwards, died at 5 a.m. Monday, March 1, 1999 at her home.
She was a member of Keeling Hill Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Phillip of Hickstown and Hardy of Harrisburg; daughters, Wednesday and Angela; stepdaughters, Shealean, Waynette and Elizabeth; three brothers, James Robertson of California, Larry Robertson of Anna, and David Robertson of Cave-in-Rock; a sister, Mary Ann Daley of Springfield; and 17 grandchilden.
Her parents, Ira Vest and Ruby Robertson, a sister, Betty Robertson, and a brother, Tommy Robertson, preceded her in death.
Sevices will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 1999 at Cox Funeral Home in Rosiclare. The Rev. Gary Hardesty will officiate and burial will be in Peters Creek cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to the Golden Circle Building Fund in Elizabethtown.

Brenda Joyce (McClary) Gillis Mrs. Brenda Joyce (McClary) Gillis, 55, wife of Jack Gillis, died on Oct. 23, 1998 at her home in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. She was a former Eldorado resident.
She was born on Dec. 16, 1942, in Kincaid, to the late Junius R. McClary and to Veva (Fitzsimmons) McClary. She married Mr. Gillis on Aug. 28, 1961, in Eldorado.
In addition to the husband and mother, Veva McClary of Columbia, she is survived by a son, Kirk Gillis of Mount Pleasant; and two brothers, Ray McClary of Nashville and David McClary of Anna.
Services were held at 10 a.m. on Oct. 18, 1998 at the Weir Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. Burial was in the Forest cemetery.

Madge Bernice Dooley
Mrs. Madge Bernice Dooley, 68, died at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 1999 at her residence, 823 W. O'Gara St., Harrisburg.
She married Albert "Bud" Dooley on Feb. 14, 1947. He preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 1975.
She was born on Aug. 31, 1930 in Stonefort, to the late Amol and Bernice (Betts) Carlson.
She was a member of the Spillertown General Baptist Church and was active in Girl Scouts of America Shagbark Council for 15 years.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Lee and Sandy Dooley of Rock Springs, Wyo.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Ruth Hall of Muddy and Lisa and David Landis of Harrisburg; a grandson, Adam Thomas Dooley of Rock Springs; two granddaughters, Brandy Michelle Dooley of Rock Springs, and Mrs. Shawn (Brooklyn) Sivels of Eldorado; two great-grandchildren, Mercedes Ann Dooley and Austin Sivels.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Samuel Taylor, and a sister, Agnes Farley Hicks.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg, where friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Edward "Shorty" Alsip will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Garden cemetery in Harrisburg.

Lois Graves
Mrs. Lois Graves, 88, of 22550 Shain cemetery Rd., Norris City, died at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 1999 at Eldorado Care Center.
On Sept. 6, 1934, she married Jess Graves. He preceded her in death on April 26, 1975.
She was born on Aug. 17, 1910 in Inman, to the late Otis and Lucy (Burch) Bryant.
Mrs. Graves was a member of the Omaha Nazarene Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. George (Deloris) Zoph of Norris City; a son, Frank Graves of Omaha; a sister, Virginia Hudgins of Eldorado; two grandchildren, Frank Graves Jr. of Omaha and Terry Zoph of Eldorado.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Joe Patton will officiate and burial will be in Shain cemetery at Norris City.

John Marvin White
John Marvin White, 85, of 1101 Moore St., Eldorado, died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 1999 at Eldorado Care Center.
He was born on May 11, 1913, in Lawton, Okla. to the late J.P. and Mary Ann (Edgmond) White.
He retired as an oil well pumper.
Surviving are two sons, John Paul White of Ashtabula, Ohio and Marion White of Eldorado; two daughters, Betty Morris of Eldorado and Carolyn Young of Millington, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by grandchild, three brothers and six sisters.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado, where friends may call from 12 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in Douglass cemetery near Eldorado.

Rodney Smock
A graveside memorial service for Rodney Smock, 83, of Tucson, Ariz., will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 1999 at Fluorine cemetery at Rosiclare. The Rev. Vernon Shaw Jr. will officiate.
Mr. Smock, a former resident of Rosiclare, died April 4, 1999 in the Tucson General Hospital.
He was a retired miner.
Surviving are two sisters, Mayme Wallace and Myrtle Moore; and a niece, Carlene Shockley, all of Rosiclare.

Ronald F. Meyer
Ronald F. Meyer, 73, of Las Vegas, Nev., died Wednesday, April 21, 1999 at 7 a.m. in Las Vegas.
He was born Feb. 12, 1926, in New York City, to the late Albert and Ouida (Ruben) Meyer.
He retired as a space engineer and was a World War II Air Force veteran.
Surviving are a daughter, Onzalee Fanning of Glen Rock, N.J.; a son, Dan Muenstermann of Las Vegas; a cousin, Dorothy Leibowitz of Longboat Key, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Michael Callaghan, Kevin Fanning and Lindsay Fanning, all of Glen Rock.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 1999 at Cottage Grove cemetery at Equality.
Vickery Funeral Chapel of Equality is in charge of the arrangements.
