Eleda Hall
Eleda Hall, 82, of Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Galatia died 10:35 p.m. July 21, 2000 at the nursing home.
She was born Feb. 28, 1918, in Griffin, Ind., to the late Charles and Bertha (Douglas) McKenzie.
She married Lawrence Hall May 13, 1937, and he preceded her in death Aug. 4, 1995.
She was a member of Village Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Norris City.
She is survived by a son, Gene Hall of Herod; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Hollis) Hoyt of Eddyville, Ky., and Mrs. Terry (Yvonne) Rice of Harrisburg; three brothers, Jim McKinzie of Weston, W. Va., Jesse McKinzie and Kenneth McKinzie, both of Norris City; four sisters, Mary Holtzsclaw of McClure, Beulah Walden of Coco, Fla., Marjorie Robinson of Norris City, and Margaret Shaw of Norris City; six grandchildren, Mark Hoyt of West Palm Beach, Fla., Kimberly Newkirk of West Palm Beach, Fla., Kevin Rice of Mt. Vernon, Ind., Matthew Rice of Harrisburg, Gina Hall of Oklahoma and Josh Hall of Eldorado; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Earl McKinzie; a sister, Daisy Ruth McKenzie; and a granddaughter, Tina Darlene Hall.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. today, July 24, 2000, at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado. The Rev. Bruce Cullers officiated. Visitation was 5 to 8 p.m. July 23 at the funeral home. Burial was at Village Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Norris City.

Andrew Wilkins
Andrew Wilkins, 86, of Harrisburg, died 5:30 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2000, at Carrier Mills Nursing Home.
He was born April 25, 1914, in Saline County, to John and Pearl (Stone) Wilkins.
He was married to Anne Walker, who preceded him in death in 1989.
He worked as a coal miner and was a member of McKinley Avenue Baptist Church in Harrisburg.
He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Sue Suits of Independence, Ks. and Brenda Kay Mitchell of Pearl; a sister, Anna Smothers of Harrisburg; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Wilkins.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2000, at Sunset Garden cemetery in Harrisburg. Those attending should go directly to the cemetery. There will be no visitation at Gaskins Funeral Home.

Golda M. Ginger
Golda M. Ginger, 86, of 111 E. Gaskin St., Harrisburg, formerly of Rosiclare, died 12:02 a.m. Sunday, July 23, 2000, at her residence.
She is survived by one daughter, Phyllis and husband, Steven Mueller of Marion; five sons, Randell Burton and wife, Jean of Eddyville, Windell Burton of Harrisburg, James Glendell Burton and wife, Vina of Herod, Edward Burton and wife, Barbara of Cave-in-Rock, Rondell Burton and wife, Twana of Harrisburg; 27 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Della (Joiner) Ginger; one daughter, Barbara Moore; five grandchildren; one half-brother, James Vinyard; and her husband, Howard Burton.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2000, at Rosiclare Free Pentecostal Church, with the Rev. Vernon Shaw Jr. officiating. Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hosick Funeral Home in Rosiclare. Ms. Ginger will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial is in Stone Church cemetery.

Faye Flynn Blankenship
Faye Flynn Blankenship, 56, of Vancleave, Miss. died 11:50 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2000, at in the Ocean Springs Hospital in Ocean Springs, Miss.
She was born Aug. 9, 1943, in Linton, Ind. to the late Leo "Dugan" and Eva Flynn formerly of Harrisburg.
She was a 1961 graduate of Carrier Mills High School and also lived in Harrisburg. She was pastor of Cornerstone Church in Vancleave for many years, and was presently a member of Manna from Heaven Church in Moss Point, Miss.
She is survived by three daughters, Melanie and husband, Kyle Holden, and Jenni and husband, Morris Cunningham of Vancleave and Shawna and husband, Eddie Doswell of Pascagoula, Miss.; six grandchildren; four step-children and three step-grandchildren. She was also survived by sister, Veeda Collins of Linton, Ind. and sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Bill Smith of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents and twin sister, Kay Partain, of Harrisburg.
Services were held July 18 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs with burial at the National cemetery in Biloxi.

Josephine Virginia Dameron
Josephine Virginia Dameron, 82, of 313 W. McHaney St., Harrisburg, died at 7:15 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2000, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
She was born June 8, 1918, in Harrisburg to J.H. "Blondie" and Bertha (Cuthbertson) Cummins. In 1942, she married John Willis Dameron. He preceded her in death April 25, 1998.
She was a school teacher and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Harrisburg.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Jane Dameron of Harrisburg; two nieces, Carol Cummins Wisely of Harrisburg and Jennifer Ahrens of Belleville; and a friend, Diane Wood of Alpine, Texas.
She was preceded in death by one brother, John H. "Sonny" Cummins.
Graveside services will precede burial at 11 a.m. Friday, July 28, at Sunset Lawn cemetery in Harrisburg. There is no visitation. Those attending should go directly to the cemetery.
Gaskins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Jessie B. Grisham
Jessie B. Grisham, 92, of 1221 S. Hobson St., Harrisburg, died 5:20 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2000, at Saline Care Center in Harrisburg.
She was born Oct. 23, 1907, in Hamilton County to the late James E. and Julia (Phy) Ellis.
She married the Rev. Elmer Grisham who preceded her in death Feb. 13, 1981.
She was a charter member of the Carrier Mills Social Brethren Church and was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Grisham and wife, Mary of Raleigh and Roger Grisham of Lakeland, Fla.; four daughters, Sue Brewer and husband, Jack of Harrisburg, Dorris Wilson and husband, Hack of Olney, and Donna Wilson of Marion; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marjorie Grisham, six brothers and three sisters.
Arrangements are pending at Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg.

Tommy Tucker
Tommy Tucker, 85, of Apt. 12, Lambert Drive, Shawneetown, died 9:56 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2001, in Shawneetown.
He was born Oct. 8, 1915, in Shawneetown, the son of the late Fradies F. and Mabel (Womack) Tucker. He married Allene Denton August 4, 1936. She preceded him in death April 15, 1998.
Mr. Tucker was a traffic manager for Mojonnier Brothers in Stickney.
He was a WWII Army Air Force veteran and a member of Shawneetown First Presbyterian Church.
Visitation was 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2001, at Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown. Service was 10 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2001, at the funeral chapel. The Rev. Ron Johnson will officiate. Burial is in Westwood cemetery in Shawneetown.
He is survived by a daughter, Joyce (Al) Gunzel of Harrisburg; a grandson, Dr. David A. (Yolanda) Gunzel of Marion; three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Lauren, Jonathan Gunzel of Harrisburg; two great-stepgrandchildren, Ashley and Alecia Steinberg of Marion; and a sister, Vina M. Seely of Monticello, Ind.
In addition to his parents and wife, Allene Tucker, he was preceded in death by a brother, Billy W. Tucker.

Monroe Leonard Bebout
Monroe Leonard Bebout, 61, of 260 Peacock Road, Harrisburg, died 1:59 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2001, at the Harrisburg Medical Center.
He was born in Pope County, Feb. 18, 1940, the son of the late Marion James and Floya (Belford) Bebout. He married the former Phyllis Dooley. She survives.
Mr. Bebout was a member of the Land Street Missionary Baptist Church in Harrisburg.
Visitation is 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2001, at Felty Funeral Home of Carrier Mills. Service is 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at the funeral home. The Rev. Kendall Jones will officiate. Burial is in the Butler cemetery.
In addition to his wife, Phyllis Bebout, he is survived by two sons, Leonard Allen and Brian Keith Bebout, both of Flint, Mich.; a daughter and a son-in-law, Terry (Victor) Harvey of Flint, Mich.; a grandson, Shane Vock of Flint, Mich.; two brothers, Clifford Bebout and Clyde Bebout, both of Harrisburg; and four sisters, Evalene Gulley of Harrisburg, Bonnie Galloro of Huntington Beach, Calif., Imogene Phelps of Vienna, and Connie Ingle of Simpson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence Bebout, Lacey Bebout, Lendall Bebout, and two sisters, Myrean Winders and Lorene Knakmuhs.
