50-year-old Albion resident, Lynnette Denny Dalton died Thursday, April 3, 2003 at her home.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry; parents, Arthur and Ruth Doty of Albion; a son, Eric Denny of Mount Carmel; a sister, Jill Gill of Albion and several nieces and nephews.

Services for Lynnette Denny Dalton were at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 6, at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion with burial in Graceland Cemetery.

Visitation was from 6 til 8 Saturday evening, April 5, at the Ingram Funeral home in Albion.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Mary Jean Bunnage

65-year-old Albion resident, Mary Jean Bunnage died at 9:20 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia.

Survivors include her husband, James; one son, Mark Bunnage; one daughter Anne Anniss; three sisters, Thelma Plunkett of Peoria, Evalyne Wilkinson of Griffin, GA and Lois Fewkes of Albion; one brother, Richard Smith of Golden Gate and two grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mary Jean Bunnage were at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 5th at the Little Prairie Christian Church west of Albion. Burial at the West Village Cemetery northwest of Albion.

Visitation was after 5 p.m. Friday, April 4th at the Ingram Funeral home in Albion.

Memorials may be made to the Edwards County Senior Citizens or the Little Prairie Preschool or Donors Choice.

Jordan Curtis Rankin

10 month old Jordan Curtis Rankin, son of Holly Rankin of Fairfield, died at 8:26 p.m. Tuesday, April 1st, 2003 at Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis.

Survivors include his mother, Holly Rankin; and his grandmother, Ruth Rankin of Fairfield.

Funeral services were at at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5th at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield. Burial in Enfield Cemetery.

Visitation was held Friday evening, April 4th at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield. Memorials may be made to the family.

Betty Rush

85-year-old Fairfield resident, Betty Rush died at 5:45 Wednesday evening, April 2, 2003 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon.

Survivors include two sons, Jim of Fairfield and Alan of Anamosa, Iowa; and two daughters, Kathryn Bunting and Marjorie Simpson of Fairfield; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, four sisters, Edna Samford, and Thelma Molt of Fairfield; Wanda Trapp of Mount Carmel and Mildred Wilson of Houston, Tx.

Services for Betty Rush were at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at New Hope Church with burial in Koontz Cemetery.

Visitation was from 5 til 8 Friday evening, April 4, at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials may be made to the New Hope General Baptist Church.

Wanda Franks

82-year-old Grayville resident, Wanda Franks died Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at the hospital in Mount Carmel.

Survivors include a son, Mark of Armington, Il., a daughter, Debra Stockner of Metamora, Il; two sisters, Jeanette Taylor and Carmon Gillard, and six grandchildren.

Services for Wanda Franks were at 11 a.m. Friday, April 4, at the Cook-Sturm Funeral Chapel in Grayville with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Visitation was 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the Cook-Sturm Funeral Chapel in Grayville.

Lola B. McCormick

74-year-old Wayne City resident, Lola B. McCormick died at 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at her home.

Survivors include sisters, Mabel Austin, Cora Hutchcraft, Clarice Rawls and Dorothy Hedden, all of Wayne City; a brother, Jessie Downen, Jr. of Sims, and a nephew, Rocky Hedden of Wayne City.

Graveside services for Lola B. McCormick were at 2 p.m. Friday, April 4, at Garrison Cemetery.

There was no visitation.

The Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield was in charge of all the arrangements.

Betty Johnson Ritcheson

74-year-old Carmi resident, Betty Johnson Ritcheson died at 4:20 Tuesday morning, April 1, 2003 at her home in Carmi. She had been the head cook at Two Tony's in Carmi.

Survivors include two daughters, ,Connie Yates of Carmi, and Rita Johnson Flemmings of Carmi, four sons, David Johnson of Carmi, Kenny Johnson of Wadesville, Ind., Charles Johnson of Poseyville, Ind., and Bob Johnson of Carmi; two sisters, Delores Jordan of Oregon, Il., and Jeanie Porter of Fairfield; two brothers Joe and Ronnie Porter of Fairfield; 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Services for Betty Johnson Ritcheson were at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 3, at the Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with burial in Maple Ridge Cemetery at Carmi.

Visitation was from 5 til 8 Wednesday evening, April 2, at the Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.

William A. Schuster

78-year-old Dahlgren resident, William A. Schuster died at 10:50 Monday evening, March 31, 2003 at West Side Care Center in West Frankfort. A veteran of WW II, he was a retired truck driver.

Survivors include a foster son, Donald Powers of Bonnie, and a foster daughter, Patricia McDonald of Pittsburg, Il.

Services for William A. Schuster were 10 a.m. Thursday, April 3, at the Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren with burial in St. John's Cemetery at Dahlgre. Full military rites will be performed at the gravesite.

Visitation was from 6 til 8 Wednesday evening, April 2, at the Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Teresa M. Thomason

65-year-old Sims resident, Teresa M. Thomason died at 5:35 Monday morning, March 31, 2003 at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville.

Survivors include daughters, Susie Aston of Denver, Co., Sally Olson of Sheridan, Wyoming, Sheila Asbjeld of Caupta, S.D., Shannon Loker of Wayne City, Reba Downen of Sims, Lora Tuzicka of Kimbel, Nebraska, and Angel Harding of Bersaills, Mo.; three sons, Albert Thomason of Enid, Ok, Billie Thomason of Cisne, and Ernie Thomason of Kimbel, Neb; 65 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and special friend, Joe Musial.

Services for Teresa M. Thomason were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Barnhill Cemetery.

Visitation was from 6 til 8 Tuesday evening, April 1, at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials may be made to the D.A.R.E. Association or to the family!

Charles Omer Rigg

94-year-old Fairfield resident, Charles Omer Rigg died at 11:30 Sunday evening, March 30, 2003 at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Sadie; four sons, Galen Rigg of Moweaqua, IL; Ray Dean Riggof Rochelle, IL; Denny Rigg of Huntington, TN and Larry Rigg of Decatur, IL; one brother Elmer Rigg of Waupun, Wisconsin; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Charles Omer Rigg were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 2 at Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Visitation was 1 p.m. Wednesday until the time of service at Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Maxine Simpson

Maxine L. Simpson, 74, a resident of Fairfield, died at 9:30 Friday morning, March 27, 2003 at her home.

Survivors incude her husband, Robert, five sons, Kevin, Jon and Lindy of Fairfield, Berian of Danville and Chris of Olney; two daughters, Lisa Simpson of Fairfield and Lea Ann Alberda of Robinson; two sisters, Cynthia Talbert of Cisne and Helen Monkman of Mesa, Az., 21 grandchildren also survive.

Services for Maxine Simpson were at 10 a.m. Monday, March 31, at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Richland Cemetery.

Visitation was from 5 til 8 Sunday evening, March 30, at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Larry Cullum

52-year-old Dale, Ill. resident, Larry Cullum died at 10:15 Thursday morning, March 26, 2003 at his home. He had worked in coal mine construction and as a school teacher.

Surviving are 4 daughters, Mrs. Carrie Ann Piercy of Belle Rive, Mrs. Shelly Dee Maramba of McLeansboro, Mrs. Amanda Jean Koss of Columbia, Tennessee and Mrs. Sarah L. Deering of New Carlisle, Ohio; 4 brothers, Donald and Ronald both of Centralia; Jack of Rogers, Arkansas and Gary of Drumright, Oklahoma; 3 sisters, Evelyn Lenich of West Frankfort, Nancy Cramer of Canton, Georgia and Laura Klapps of Belen, New Mexico; 10 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren.

Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 30th at Dutton Cemetery at Golconda.

Visitation was from 6-8 Saturday evening, March 29th at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
