Doris Prince

77-year-old McLeansboro resident, Doris Prince died at 11:55 Tuesday evening, Oct. 5, 2004 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was a retired secretary for A-1 Tool Service Company and was a past president of the Desk and Derrick Club in Mt. Pleasant, MIchigan.

She was the wife of the late Everett Prince. Survivors include a daughter, Dana L. Hunt of Dale, Il., three sons, Terry L. Prince of West Virginia, Thomas L. Prince of McLeansboro and Duane Prince of Scotts, MIchigan; one sister, Julia Joyce Ratliff of McLeansboro, a brother-in-law, Bill Prince of Carmi; four sisters-in-law, Junaita Henninger of McLeansboro, Maxine Waggoner of Marshall, Il., Betty Swartz of McLeansboro and Peggy Vaupel of Thackery, Il.; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services for Doris Prince were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with burial in Enfield Cemetery.

Visitation was from 11 a.m. until the time of service Saturday, Oct. 9, at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.

Merle Langley

57-year-old Rt. 3 McLeansboro resident, Merle Langley died at 4:34 Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 5, 2004 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. He had been a maintenance employee for Hucks Truck Stop in Mount Vernon.

Survivors include his wife, Verla; a son, Merle Edward Langley, II of McLeansboro, daughters, Jane Guthrie and Tina Banks of McLeansboro; brothers, John Langley of DeKalb, Il., and Wayne Langley of McLeansboro; sisters, Barbara Smith of Lincoln, Il., Gloria Butler of Springfield, Il., Helen Reynolds of Mathinson, Miss., and Paula Scott of Troy, Mo.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Merle Langley were at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with burial in Hopewell Cemetery at McLeansboro.

Visitation was from 6 til 8 Friday evening, Oct. 8, at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.

Buell C. Puckett

84-year-old former Mill Shoals resident, Buell C. Puckett of Albany, Georgia died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004 at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth of Albany; three daughters, Ann Wilson of Athens, Georgia, Tamara Vail of Fairfield and Patricia Puckett of Avondale Estates, Georgia; two sons, Charles Puckett of Columbus, Ohio and Edward Puckett of Cusseta, Georgia; a sister, Verniece Harris of Mill Shoals, 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Buell C. Puckett were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, at the Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Shrewsbury Cemetery.

Visitation was from 6 til 8 Saturday evening, Oct. 9, at Nales Funeral Hom ein Fairfield.

Memorials may be made to the Fairfield Rotary Club Polio Plus Fund.

Steven Jordan

54-year-old Grayville resident, Steven Jordan died Monday, October 4, 2004 at Wabash General Hospital in Mount Carmel. He was a self-employed mechanic and a US Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy of Grayville, his father, Charles Jordan od Grayville; a brother, Don Jordan of Columbus, Ohio; in-laws, Bob and Barbara Munsey of Grayville; three sisters-in-law, Connie Munsey, Mriam Jordan and Marie Munsey; four brothers-in-law, Bobby Dale Munsey, Jr. David Munsey, Greg Hanish and David Hanish; five nieces and nephews, Rachel Wofford, Luke and Derek Jordan, Kimberly and Micael Munsey and a great-nephew, Travis Munsey.

Funeral services for Steven Jordan were at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville with burial in Anthioch Cemetery near Cowling with full military honors.

Visitation was from 6 til 8 Wednesday evening, Oct. 6, at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville.

Cleo "Marks" Zollars

82-year-old Olney resident, Cleo Marks Zollars died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004 at her home.

Survivors include three sons, Dale E. Fore of Clay City, Jim Zollars and Billy Zollars both of Olney; two daughters, Judith Eckiss of Olney and Rena Meritt of Noble; one brother, Stuart Marks of Bridgeport, 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Funeral services for Cleo Marks Zollars were at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7th at the Olney Church of the Nazarene with burial at Crest Haven Memorial Park in Claremont.

Visitation was from Noon until the time of service Thursday in the Olney Church of the Nazarene Chaple.

The Stasi-Grove Funeral Home was in charge of all the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Church of the Nazarene in Olney.

Lois Brock

71-year-old Rt. 1 Albion resident, Lois Brock died at 10:55 Sunday evening, Oct. 3, 2004 at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville.

Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Taylor of Albion; a son, Roy Brock of Evansville, Ind., brothers, Leo Pfeiffer of Florida and Carl Pfeiffer of Lawrenceville, Il.; two grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Lois Brock were at 10:30 Thursday morning, Oct. 7 at Nales Funeral Home in Albion. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery at Albion.

Visitation was from 6 til 8 Wednesday evening Oct. 6 at Nales Funeral Home in Albion.

Memorials may be made to the Samaria Baptist Church or the Edwards County Senior Citizens Center.

Bertha Wade

97-year-old Albion resident, Bertha Wade died at 7:39 Tuesday morning, Oct. 5, 2004 at Oakview Heights Care and Rehab Center in Mount Carmel.

Survivors include her niece Lucile McNair and close friends, Wilma Basset, and Elizabeth & Bob Stevens.

Funeral services for Bertha Wade were at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8 at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion with burial at the Moravian Cemetery in West Salem.

Visitation was from 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion.

Robert E. "Bob" Chastain

74-year-old rural Carmi resident, Robert E. "Bob" Chastain died Wednesday morning, Oct. 6, 2004 in southeastern Wayne County as the result of a traffic accident. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, he was most recently employed as a tugboat opertor on Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn; his mother, Minnie Denny, his mother-in-law, Margaret Pierson; a son, Kekvin Chastain; a daughter, Gina Brown, all of Carmi; a brother, Don Chastain of Vallejo, Calif., a sister, Emma Daniel of Jasper, Texas, six grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Robert E. Chastain were at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8, at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi with burial in Big Prairie Cemetery near Carmi.

Visitation was from 4 until 8 Thursday evening, Oct. 7, at the Cook Chapel in Carmi.

Memorials may be made to either the First Christian Church of Carmi or the Adventure Christian Church in Bradley-Burbonnais.

Betty I. Murphy

71-year-old Fairfield resident, Betty I. Murphy, died at 11:05 a.m. Sunday, October 3rd, 2004 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include her husband, Lester of Fairfield; two sons, Roy of Caledonia, Ohio and Randy of Beach Grove, Ky., a daughter, Gayle Pagan of Kentucky; a brother, Lex Hodges of Fairfield; two sisters, Mary Ann McIntire of Washington and Lyndall Ewing of Fairfield; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Betty I. Murphy will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 Tuesday evening, Oct. 5, at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials may be made to the Comfort Room at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.

Martha Rector

85-year-old Albion resident, Martha Rector died at 9:15 Sunday morning, Oct. 3, 2004 at Meadowood Nursing Home in Grayville.

Survivors include a sister, Margurite Bond of Calvin, Il., and two half-brothers, Byrom Ward of Calvin and Robert Ward of Grayville along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Martha Rector will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion with burial in Mount Zion Cemetery south of Albion.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, until the time of the service at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion.

Billie Jean Riddle Morville

50-year-old Fairfield resident, Billie Jean Riddle Morville, died at 10:20 p.m. Friday, October 1st, 2004 in Gray Township in White County, IL as the result of an automobile accident.

Survivors include her husband, Keith Morville of Fairfield; two daughters, Heidi Petrig of Evansville and Jennifer Davis of Owensville, Ind.; two sons, James Tondini of Fairfield and John Greifzu of Wilton, Iowa; her mother, Mary Riddle; two sisters, LaDonna Burner of Fairfield and Jackie White of Fairfield; three brothers, John and Robert Riddle of Fairfield and Jesse Riddle of Geff; a foster-brother, James McCormick of Texas and 7 grandchildren.

Funeral services for Billie Jean Riddle Morville will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne with burial in Brown Cemetery at Mount Erie.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 Tuesday evening, Oct. 5 at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne.

Memorials may be made to the family and will be accepted at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne.

Delphia Mae Boyd Burrows

78-year-old rural Crossville resident, Delphia Mae Boyd Burrows died at her home on Monday, Oct. 4, 2004.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Burrows of Crossville; five brothers, Charles, Robert, Leroy, Archie and Clarence Brown; a sister, Louise Kiefer, all of Carmi, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Delphia Mae Boyd Burrows will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6 at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi with burial in Centerville Cemetery near Carmi.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday, Oct. 6, at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi.

Memorials may be made to the Centerville Primitive Baptist Church.
