Helen Louise Kennard

84-year-old Grayville resident, Helen Louise Kennard died at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30th, 2004 at Deaconess Hospice Care Center in Evansville, IN.

Survivors include a son, Donald R. Kennard of North Barrington, IL, one daughter, Kay E. Jamieson of Western Australia, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Graveside services for Helen Louise Kennard will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4 at Graceland Cemetery.

Visitation will be at 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at Nales Funeral Home in Albion.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Julia B. Malone

90-year-old Cisne resident, Julia B. Malone died at 5:10 Tuesday evening, Nov. 30, 2004, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She had worked at the Meadow Gold Creamery in Muncie, Ind. and later was a bookeeper for the family business - Malone's Front End Alignment in Muncie, Ind.

Survivors include special friends, William and Robin Atwood of Flora, and her extended family, Ira and Wanda Simmons family and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Julia B. Malone will be 10:30 Saturday, Dec. 4, at the Hosseltono Funeral Home in Cisne with burial in Cisne Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:30 until 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne.

Memorials may be made to the Cisne Christian Church or the Flora Healthcare Activity Department.

Lula Bird

88 year old Sims resident, Lula Bird, died at 1 a.m. Sunday, December 8th, 2002 at Way-Fair in Fairfield.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the York Funeral Home in Wayne City.

Lucas James White

Infant Lucas James White of Fairfield died at 1:50 a.m. Saturday, December 7th, 2002 at Cardinal Glennen Hosptial in St. Louis.

Surviving are his parents, Don and Aleah White of Fairfield; 3 brothers, Zachery, Jonathon and Nicholas White; a sister, Brittany White; grandparents, Harold White of Fairfield, Mark and Jonnie Kay Steury of Geff, Mike and Martha Meany of Mt. Vernon, Il. and James and Georgia Ewing of Flora; and great-grandparents, Nellrose Jordan of Fairfield and Eldon and Shirley Troyer of Cisne.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Wilma Wiles

92 year old Fairfield resident, Wilma Wiles, died at 7:25 p.m. Friday, December 6th, 2002 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. She had worked as a cook for the Senior Citizens.

Surviving are 3 sons, Carroll R. Wiles of Fairfield, Roland G. Wiles of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Robert K. Wiles of Harvard, Nebraska; 2 daughters, Shirley Tullis of Fairfield and Donna Sue Bollinger of Upper Sandusky, Ohio; 2 sisters, Bernadine Dawson of Albion and Mildred Crackel of Springfield, Ohio; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 9th at Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield. Burial in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation from 10 a.m. Monday, December 9th until the time of service at Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Mabel Marguerite Grove

93 year old Fairfield resident, Mabel Marguerite Grove, died at 4:40 p.m. Friday, December 6th, 2002 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Jo Ann Sons and Dorothy McCulley both of Fairfield; 2 sons, Bernard Grove of Cisne and Leland Grove of Sandwich, Il.; 2 sisters-in-law, Doris Young of Fairfield and May Dennis of Peoria; 12 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 10th at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield. Burial in Cisne Cemetery. Visitation from 6-8 p.m. Monday, December 9th at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church.

Helen Harris

88 year old Fairfield resident, Helen Harris, died at 1:10 a.m. Friday, December 6th, 2002 at her home.

Her survivors include two sons, Gayle Harris of Fairfield and Chalon Harris of Idaho; three daughters, Lori Gabbard of Fairfield, Anita Witter of Barnhill, and Doris Enright of CA; one brother, David Zimmerman of Montana. Four sisters, Janice Kinney of Lincoln, Nebraska, Judith Anderson of Texas, Bernice Andrews and Margaret Farmer both of Fairfield, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-six grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Helen L. Harris will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9th at the Bethel Church with burial in Victory Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8th at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Charles R. Noble

53 year old Fairfield resident, Charles Noble, died at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 5th, 2002 at his home.

Surviving are his wife Darlene; his mother, Nancy Hodges of Fairfield; 4 sons, Troy and Mark both of Fairfield, Chad of Chester, Il. and Kevin of Tennessee; a step-sister, Lexene Miller of Robinson; a step-brother, James Hodges of Fairfield; a brother, Mark R. Noble of Fairfield; 8 grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 8th at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield. Burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Visitation from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, December 7th at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Wilma B. Miller

94-year-old Melvin, IL resident formerly of Fairfield, Wilma B. Miller died at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002 at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Gibson City.

Survivors include her husband Glen C. Miller of Melvin, seven nieces and two nephews.

Funeral services for Wilma B. Miller will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at the United Methodist Church in Melvin with burial at Maple Hill Cemetery, Fairfield.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday with an Eastern Star Service at 8 p.m. at the Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City.

La Von Caldwell

89 year old Bridgeport resident, La Von Caldwell, died at 3:25 p.m. Wednesday, December 4th, 2002 at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital.

Surviving are 2 sons, Robert of Albion and Ben of Chrisman, Il.; 2 daughters, Rose Mary Post of Big Bear, California and June Ann Berk of Seattle, Washington; a sister, Rosa Lee Hupman of Green ville, Ohio; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 7th at the Bridgeport United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Sumner City Cemetery at a later date.

There will be no visitation.

The Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Bridgeport United Presbyterian Church.

Jerry Ewing

62 year old Fairfield resident, Jerry Ewing, died at 1:45 a.m. Thursday, December 5th, 2002 at his home. He was a painting contractor with his brother, Eldon.

Surviving are his wife Fran; 3 sons, Gerald Ewing of Waterloo, Il., John Reeves of Fairfield and Stephen Reeves of Decatur; 4 daughters, Roberta Ray of California, and Renae Ewing, Jane Reeves and Sarah Reeves all of Fairfield; 5 brothers, Everett Ewing of Port Charlotte, Florida, and Eldon Ewing, Don Ewing, Clarence Ewing, and Alvin Ewing all of Fairfield; 2 sisters, Doris Locke, and Ruth McGill all of Fairfield; 6 grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 7th at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield. Burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Visitation from 6-8 p.m. Friday, December 6th at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Charles W. Berry

73 year old Olney resident, formerly of Burnt Prarie, Charles W. Berry, died at 2 a.m. Wednesday, December 4th, 2002 at an Olney nursing home.

Surviving are his wife, Cora Iles Berry; 3 sons, Charles Franklin Berry of New York, James Curtis Berry of Texas, and Ethan K. Berry of New York; a brother, David Berry of Burnt Prarie; and 3 granddaughters.

Graveside services and military rites will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 7th at the Richland Cemetery south of Boyelston.

There will be no visitation.

Fred M. Jones

86-year-old Sims resident, Fred M. Jones died at 11:27 Monday evening at Crossroads Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine; a son, Bob Jones of Mt. Zion, two grandchildren, three step-grandchildre, 5 great-grandchildre and 5 step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Fred M. Jones will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City with burial in Thomason Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Friday at the Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City.
