Harriet M. Cockrum

94-year-old Dahlgren resident, Harriett M. Cockrum died at 3:40 Monday afternoon, April 25, 2005 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Joycelyn Cockrum of Dahlgren, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Harriet M. Cockrum were at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 28, at the Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren with burial in Richardson Hill Cemetery near Dahlgren.

Visitation was from 5 til 8 Wednesday evening, April 27, at the Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren.

Edward Lee Trusty

56-year-old Mount Carmel resident, Edward Lee Trusty died Sunday, April 24, 2005, at the VA Hospital in Marion, Ill. He was an operating engineer and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine; a son, Michael McWilliams; his mother, Marie Trusty; two sisters, Connie Butler and Patti Funkhouser, a brother, Billy Ray and two grandchildren.

Funeral services for Edward Lee Trusty were 10 a.m. Thursday, April 28, at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery with full military rites.

Visitation was from 5 til 7 Wednesday evening, April 27, at the Cook Chapel in Grayville.

Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.

Edith Mae Mason

64-year-old Fairfield resident, Edith Mae Mason died at 1:22 Monday afternoon, April 23, 2005 at Carle Hospital in Urbana, Ill.

Survivors include two sons, Gene Mason of Fairfield and Clarence Allen Mason of Champaign, Il., a daughter, Gaye Mason of Champaign; a brother, Eugene Owens of Sims, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Edith Mae Mason were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, at Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Visitation was from noon Wednesday, April 27, until the time of service at Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Charles O. "Chuck" Garrett Jr.

47 year old Enfield resident, Charles O. "Chuck" Garrett Jr. died at 11:33 a.m. Saturday, April 23rd, 2005 at White County Medical Center in Carmi. He was a corrections officer at Big Muddy Corrections Institution in Ina, and a member of the Sportsman Club in Enfield.

Surviving are his wife Barbara Ellen Garrett; his parents, Olin and Beatrice Garrett of Enfield; 3 sons, Joel Matthew and Tony Lee Sanders of Fairfield, and Ryan Edward Sanders of Enfield; 2 sisters, Audrey Elwood of Enfield and Cindy Hardin of Danville, Il.; aunts Alice Carter of Fairfield, Sue and May Garrett and Pat Fogle all of Bloomington, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Charles O. "Chuck" Garrett Jr. were at 11am Tuesday, April 26th, at the Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in the Little Zion Cemetery near Enfield.

Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Monday, April 25 at the Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.

Irene Funkhouser

100 year old Fairfield resident, Irene Funkhouser, died at 6 a.m. Thursday, April 21st, 2005 at Way-Fair Restorium in Fairfield. She was a school teacher for 38 years.

Surviving are 3 nephews, Max Vaughan and Noel Vaughan both of Fairfield, and Mark Funkhouser of Green sboro, North Carolina; and 3 nieces, Wilma King of Mill Shoals, Judith McCormick of Hillsboro, Missouri and Donna Nicely of Anderson, Indiana.

Funeral services for Irene Funkhouser were at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23rd at Nale's Funeral Home in Fairfield. Burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in rural Burnt Prarie.

Vistiation was from 10 a.m. Saturday, April 21st until the time of service at Nale's Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Lucille M. Wilson

89 year old Fairfield resident, Lucille M. Wilson, died at 2:02 p.m. Wednesday, April 20th, 2005 at Way-Fair Restorium.

Surviving are 5 sons, Kenny Wilson, Walter "Jake" Wilson, and Richard Wilson Jr. all of Fairfield, Darrel Wilson of Olney and Richard Wilson of Chase, Kansas; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Lucille M. Wilson were at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 23rd at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield. Burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Visitation was from 10 a.m. Saturday, April 23rd until the time of service at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Conard (Connie) Bashore

76 year old Fairfield resident, Conard (Connie) Bashore, died at 7 a.m. Thursday, April 21st, 2005 at his home.

Surviving are his wife Janet; a brother, Buddy Bashore of Fairfield; 3 sisters, Elizabeth Lane of Cisne, Wilma Hall of Altona, Iowa and Wanda Lavie of Napa, California.

Funeral services for Conard (Connie) Bashore were at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 24th at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield. Burial in Maple Hill Cemetery with military rites at the gravesite.

Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, April 23rd at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials may be made to the Senior Citizens or Hospice.

Wayne Allen Richison

43-year-old Mt. Vernon, IL resident, Wayne Allen Richison died at 1:50 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005 at his residence.

Survivors include a son, Wayne A. Richison II of Centralia; his mother, Jean Richison of Fairfield; a brother, Charles A. Richison of North Port, FL; a sister, Karen J. Hudgens of Salem; three nephews and one niece also survive.

Funeral services for Wayne Allen Richison were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 20 at the Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Burial at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens.

Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, IL.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

John F. Beehn

65-year-old Henderson, KY resident, John F. Beehn died at 2:10 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2005 at the home of his son, Van in Evansville, IN.

Survivors include three daughters, Kim Meece of Newburgh, IN, Jill Buttry and Felisha Durnell both of Evansville, IN; three sons, Van Beehn of Evansville, IN, Todd Beehn of Uttica, KY, and Zane Beehn of Owensboro, KY; one brother, Robert Beehn of Wayne City; two sister-in-laws, Terry Beehn of Koontze, TX and Denise Beehn of Cisne. Eight grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.

Funeral services for John F. Beehn were at 11 a.m. Friday, June 24 at the First Baptist Church, Henderson, KY with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to the time of service at the church.

A graveside service was held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 24 at the Moravian Cemetery in West Salem.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements by Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne.

Bobbie Dean Myers

70-year-old Mt. Vernon, IL resident, Bobbie Dean Myers died at 12:05 a.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at Casey Care Center, Mt. Vernon.

Survivors include a daughter Ginny Riley of Mt. Vernon; two grandsons, 4 granddaughters, 2 great grandson; and a sister Doris Crawford of Wayne City, IL.

Graveside services for Bobbie Dean Myers were at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Thomason Cemetery, Wayne City. Those attending are asked to go directly to the cemetery Thursday morning.

Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.

The Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon was in charge of the arrangements.

Paula Diane Judge

53 year old Paula Diane Judge of Ravenna, Ohio died Thursday, June 16th, 2005 at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.

Surviving are her husband Gary R. Judge of Ravenna, Ohio; her mother, Mary (Acord) McKibben of Ravenna, Ohio; her father and mother-in-law, Ralph and Rosemary Judge of Fairfield; a daughter, Bethany Stone of Lawrence, Massachusetts; 3 sons, Jim Gargano and Brent Judge both of Sandown, New Hampshire and Jason Gargano of Ravenna, Ohio; a sister, Penny Less of Salem, Ohio; a brother, Edward McKibben of Deerfield, Ohio; and one grandchild.

Funeral services for Paula Diane Judge were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 22nd at the Johnson Chapel in Fairfield. Burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Visitation was from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 21st at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Freda Hooper

94 year old Fairfield resident, Freda Hooper, died at 8:25 p.m. Friday, June 17th, 2005 at WayFair Restorium in Fairfield.

Surviving are 2 sons, Dale Hooper of Fairfield and Dennis Hooper of Watseka, Il.; a daughter, Joyce Steffen of Moweaua, Il.; a sister, Janette Green of Fairfield; 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Freda Hooper were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 21st at the Johnson Chapel. Burial in Union Cemetery.

Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 20th at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield.
