Carr
INDIANAPOLIS -- Cleo E. Brandenburg Carr died March 26 at Westview Hospital. She was 82.
Mrs. Carr had been a homemaker and a healthcare worker at Frame Nursing Home.
She had belonged to the Salvation Army Women's Home League.
Survivors include children Paul Saunders, James Saunders, Beverly Nysewander, Judy Saunders, Joe Carr and John Carr; brothers Leland and Rudolph Brandenburg; sisters Gathel Wright, Dema Blair and Letha Chambers; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 30 at Flanner-Buchanan Mortuary in Speedway. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Deich
DANVILLE -- Paul B. Deich died March 26 at Hendricks Community Hospital in Danville. He was 80.
Born Aug. 2, 1920 in Beech Grove, he was a son of Aaron and Olive (Weathers) Deich. He married Virginia Ruth Wade on Sept. 4, 1943, and she survives.
He graduated from Central Normal College in Danville with a B.A. in education. Mr. Deich had taught business, English and history in the Pike and Wayne township school districts and in several Hendricks County schools, retiring in 1999. He had also worked more than 25 years as a general insurance agent for Lafayette Life Insurance Co.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in World War II.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Dana D. Cole of Lizton; a son, Kenton P. Deich of Redmond, Wash.; grandchildren Marcy Reyes, Derek P. Deich and Katie K. Cole; and a great-granddaughter, Kiara Reyes.
Graveside services were held March 30 at South Cemetery in Danville with the Rev. Dennis Dodson officiating.

Fahy
INDIANAPOLIS -- Ruth E. (Pedigo) Fahy died March 24 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was 79.
She was the widow of Joseph W. Fahy Sr.
Mrs. Fahy had attended IUPUI for one year and worked six years as personnel manager for Woolco before retiring in 1983.
She was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Veteran's Administration Hospital Caregivers' Support Group, and Cathedral Mothers' Club.
Survivors include a son, Joseph W. Fahy Jr.; a daughter, Cecilia A. Bowman; a brother, Richard Pedigo; a sister, Helen Wilson; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 29 at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary and later that morning at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment was at St. Malachy Cemetery, Brownsburg.

Grable
GREENCASTLE -- Marilyn R. Grable died March 27 at her Greencastle home. She was 65.
Born March 9, 1936, in Clay County, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Lola (Royer) Jordan. She married David Grable on July 15, 1955, and he survives.
She had attended the Nazarene Church of Greencastle.
Mrs. Grable worked 14 years for Berry Insurance Agency and for the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Greencastle.
Additional survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Cheri Grable of Greencastle; daughters and sons-in-law Lavona and Daryl Mayo of Avon and Towada and Greg Foy of Greencastle; sisters and brothers-in-law Marcella and Jim Weber of Bowling Green and Melba and Church Keller of Dayton, Tenn.; brothers and sisters-in-law Junior and Ethel Jordan of Greencastle and Dan and Barb Jordan of Terre Haute; nine grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Preceding her in death was a brother, Dean Jordan.
Services were held March 30 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home in Greencastle with the Rev. Bill Staley officiating. Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle.

Holloway
PLAINFIELD -- Patricia Jane (Collins) Holloway died March 28 at Avon Healthcare. She was 63.
She had been a homemaker and was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary #0777 in Indianapolis.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest J. Holloway of Plainfield; daughters Barbara J. Jones and Brenda S. Hutchison, both of Plainfield; and three grandchildren.
Services were held March 30 at the Maple Hill Cemetery chapel in Plainfield.

Lawson
GREENFIELD -- Rosemary J. Lawson died March 28 at Brandywine Manor. She was 85.
Born Dec. 23, 1915, in Indianapolis, she was a daughter of the late Orin W. Sandberg. She was the widow of Robert H. Lawson, who died in 1979.
Mrs. Lawson had owned and operated Lawson Clothing Store in Greenfield for 30 years.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Greenfield where she was a choir director. She had also belonged to Greenfield Community Choir, Ladies Home Reading Club, Business and Professional Women's Club, order of the Eastern Star #64, and Singles Club in Greenfield.
Survivors include a daughter, Diane Reed of Greenfield; a brother, Joe Sandberg of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were a brother, Orin W. Sandberg, and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 31 at Pasco Memorial Mortuary in Greenfield. Interment was at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
Lewis
DUBOIS -- David E. Lewis died Feb. 16 in Dubois. He was 57 and had formerly resided in Clayton.
He was born March 10, 1943, in Pulaski, Va. He married Vickie Pauley Lewis, who survives.
Mr. Lewis was a U.S. Navy veteran and had retired from Allison, General Motors in Indianapolis in 1996.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Roxann Gillaspy of Mooresville; sisters Mary Curtis Lewis of Florida and Libby Southern of West Virginia; brothers Jesse Lewis Jr. of Oklahoma, James Lewis of West Virginia and John Lewis; and two grandchildren.
Graveside military services were held Feb. 20 at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
McBride
CLAYTON -- Addie L. (Dailey) McBride died March 24 at Indiana University Hospital. She was 75.
Born May 14, 1925, in Celina, Tenn., she was a daugter of Brock and Myrtie (Bowman) Dailey. She was married to Willie H. McBride.
Mrs. McBride had worked more than 25 years as a cook at several restaurants in Hendricks County.
She was a member of Life Temple Church in Clayton.
Survivors include children Betty S. Frederick of Indianapolis and Carolyn M. Gilmer of Camby; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 28 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home in Plainfield. Interment was at Clayton Cemetery.
Morgan
CLAYTON -- Donald L. Morgan died March 27 at St. Francis Hospital in Mooresville. He was 67.
Born July 11, 1933, in Marion County, he was a son of William and Marie (Heckman) Morgan.
Mr. Morgan had been a farmer and an independent grain hauler. Prior to that, he worked more than 20 years as a John Deere tractor mechanic at Gibbs Implement Co. in Mooresville.
He had belonged to several antique tractor associations in Hendricks and Morgan counties and was an honorary member of the Hazelwood Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Georgena (Thompson) Morgan; a son, Donald William Morgan of Clayton; a daughter, Lauri Jo Brummett of Clayton; and two grandchildren.
Services were held March 31 at the Gasburg Baptist Church with the Revs. Jack Elliott and Tony Maning officiating. Interment was at Clayton Cemetery.
Coffin
MOORESVILLE -- Marjorie L. (Pirtle) Coffin died June 18 at Heartland Healthcare Center. She was 84.
She was the widow of Alfred Salmon Coffin Jr., who died Sept. 7, 2000.
Mrs. Coffin was a homemaker and a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Plainfield and Beta Chapter of Delta Alpha Gamma Sorority.
Survivors include sons Frederick W. Coffin of Mooresville and John P. Coffin of Santee, Calif., and two grandchildren.
Services will be held 10 a.m. June 22 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home in Plainfield. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Hart
BROWNSBURG -- Opal L. Hart died June 17 at Brownsburg Health Care. She was 87 and had been a lifetime resident of Brownsburg.
Born April 29, 1914, in Pekin, she was a daughter of John Corn and Deloa Baggerley. She was the widow of Harry Hart.
Mrs. Hart had been a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Karista L. Hancock of Tuscon, Ariz.; sisters Betty Bauer of Chesterfield and LaRue Mull of Pekin; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held June 19 at Brownsburg Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Dodson officiating.

Jones
AVON -- Anna V. Jones died June 18 at Hendricks Community Hospital in Danville. She was 69.
Mrs. Jones was a clerk in the Indiana Land Acquisition Office for 17 years before retiring in 1997. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Survivors include an aunt, Mary Fon, and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael G. Jones.
Services will be 11 a.m. June 22 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Floral Park West Cemetery in Indianapolis.
Calling at the church will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Kincaid
ADVANCE -- Maude C. Kincaid died June 18 at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon. She was 97.
Born Oct. 7. 1903, in Laurel County, Ky., she was a daughter of Grant and Anna (Edwards) Southerland. She was the widow of Noah E. Kincaid, whom she married on March 6, 1920.
Mrs. Kincaid had been a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God Church in Crawfordsville.
Survivors include daughters Lorena Edwards of Lebanon, Marie Mitchell of Jamestown, and Pat Hale of Linton; sons Gurney O. Kincaid of Harrison, Mich., and Albert Kincaid of Advance; a sister, Lucille Harris of Indianapolis; brothers Earl Southerland of Monrovia, Louis Southerland of Martinsville, and Ben Southerland of Indianapolis; 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Kincaid, and two brothers and two sisters.
Services will be 10 a.m. June 22 at Porter Funeral Home in Jamestown with the Rev. Michael Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Jamestown
Calling at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

Lyon
BROWNSBURG -- Joseph Phillip Lyon died June 18 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was an infant.
Born June 18, 2001, he was a son of James and Wendy Lyon, who survive.
Additional survivors include sisters Katie and Macy Lyon, both of Brownsburg; a brother, Luke Lyon of Brownsburg; grandparents Kevin and Phyllis Alexander of Lizton, Ron and Denise Summers of Greenwood, and Tim and Dorothy Owens of Brownsburg; and great-grandparents John and Mary Alexander of Brownsburg and Lyle and Mary Summers of Alexandria.
Services were held June 20 at Matthews Mortuary with Steven T. Reeves officiating. Interment followed at the Lizton Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
Maynard
ROCKVILLE -- Lyman "Shorty" Eugene Maynard died June 16 . He was 78.
He married C. Jean Woodworth, who survives.
Mr. Maynard was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II. He was owner/operator of Clayton Welding before retiring in 1993.
He was a member of Clayton Presbyterian Church.
Additional survivors include sons Kurt Maynard of Gainesville, Ga., and Kent Maynard of Amo; daughters Caryl Ashbaugh of Dunlap, Ill., and Jan Neeley of Rockville; and seven grandchildren.
Services were held June 20 at Weaver & Randoph Funeral Home in Danville. Cremation followed at Westside Crematory in Indianapolis.

Porter
BROWNSBURG -- Delbert D. Porter died June 15 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was 85 and had resided in Brownsburg for 12 years.
Born May 22, 1916, in Chicago, he was a son of Harry G. Porter and Della Lee. He married Irene Goldsbury, who survives.
Mr. Porter was a welding engineer at Allison Division of General Motors for 40 years before retiring in 1976.
He was a member of Murat Temple Shrine.
Additional survivors include daughters Suzanne Horn of Chicago and Barbara J. Hass of San Diego, Calif., and six grandchildren.
Services were held June 16 at Matthews Mortuary with Steve Albertin officiating. Interment was at Washington Park North in Indianapolis.
Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital Foundation.
Reid
PITTSBORO -- James P. Reid died June 18 at Hendricks Community Hospital in Danville. He was 77 and had resided in Pittsboro for 30 years.
Born March 5, 1924, in Indianapolis, he was a son of Morton L. Reid and Louise McAdams. He was the widower of Peggy Jean Reid.
Mr. Reid worked 40 years as a chief crew dispatcher for Conrail before retiring in 1989.
Survivors include sons Kenneth Polen of Plainfield, Bobby Polen of Jamestown, Jeff and Charles Polen and Richard Reid, all of Pittsboro; a daughter, Vicky Watts of Brownsburg; a sister, Mary Speer of Phoenix, Ariz.; and eight grandchildren.
Services were held June 20 at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg with Thomas Gray officiating. Interment was at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Zionsville.
Richardson
LEBANON -- Helen A. Richardson died June 17 at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon. She was 78 and had been a lifetime resident of Boone County.
Born Feb. 16, 1923, in Advance, she was a daughter of Noble I. and Emily Gladys (Kincaid) Pierce. She married Carroll M. Richardson on Nov. 29, 1947, in Thorntown. He died Feb. 17, 1979.
Mrs. Richardson was a 1941 graduate of Dover High School and had attended Central Normal Business College in Danville.
She had worked 25 years in the accounting department of the Boone County State Bank in Lebanon before retiring in 1988, and had been the first female vice president at the bank. During retirement, she had worked at Union Federal Savings Bank and Petro's Tire, both in Lebanon. She was also a seamstress and had made wedding and prom dresses.
She had enjoyed gardening, canning and spending time at the family cabin on Lake Shafer.
Mrs. Richardson was a member of First Community Church in Lebanon where she was a member of the choir, and Lebanon Chapter #23 Order of the Eastern Star where she was a Past Worthy Matron and had belonged to the Past Patrons and Past Matrons Organization. She had also been a member of Zonta International in Lebanon.
Survivors include sons Rodney E. Richardson and Randy N. Richardson, both of Lebanon; daughters Mrs. Jess (Terena) James of Lebanon, Mrs. James (Rena) Russell of Zionsville, Mrs. Joel (Brinda) Williams of Plainfield, Mrs. Coy (Linda) Bishop of Lebanon, and Mrs. Richard (Peggy) Kelly of Zionsville; a sister, Hazel Bowman of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers George H. Pierce and William R. Pierce and a sister, Mabel Pierce.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. today at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon, with the Revs. Scotts Betts and Merv McNair officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Riley Children's Hospital of Indianapolis or First Community Church in Lebanon.
Robinson
BROWNSBURG -- Lucy D. Keys Cast Robinson died June 17 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was 74.
Mrs. Robinson graduated from Indiana Business College. She worked as a secretary for Indiana University, IUPUI, Student Union Building and School of Dentistry for several years before retiring in 1990.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Robinson; daughters Susan Branon and Cheryl Julian; a son, Raymond Cast Jr.; stepchildren Sue Long, Linda Hale, Ann Madaville and Roy Robinson Jr.; brothers Doc G. Keys, Joe Keys and Patrick W. Keys; sisters Barbara E. Moshier, Marguerite E. Keys and Donna M. Stanisfer; six grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Flanner & Buchanan Mortuary in Speedway. Interment will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.

Saffell
INDIANAPOLIS -- Genevieve Elizabeth Saffell died June 17 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was 86 and had been a lifetime resident of Indianapolis.
Born June 21, 1914, she was a daughter of John Reckel and Ruth Cooke. She was the widow of Ralph Saffell.
Mrs. Saffell was a seamstress for Greggs Cleaners in Indianapolis for 15 years before retiring in 1975. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Indianapolis.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Mason of Indianapolis; sons James Rairden of Indianapolis and Roy J. Rairden of Martinsville; a sister, Clara Smyser of Reelsville; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services were held June 19 at St. Malachy Catholic Church in Brownsburg with Father Glen O'Connor officiating. Interment was at St. Malachy Cemetery.
Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg was in charge of arrangements.
Stonebraker
BROWNSBURG -- Harvey J. Stonebraker died June 15 at Brownsburg Health Care. He was 86 and had resided in Brownsburg for 52 years.
Born May 23, 1915, in Pittsboro, he was a son of Melvin Stonebraker an Nancy Luella Johnson. He was the widower of Irma Stonebraker.
Mr. Stonebraker was an acetylene operator at Union Carbide for 30 years before retiring in 1975.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held June 18 at Brownsburg Cemetery with George Schoonmaker officiating.

Turpin
LEBANON -- Velma Turpin died June 17 at Muncie Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was 94.
Born Aug. 25, 1906, in Boone County, she was a daughter of Guy and Clara Ethel (Smith) Proffitt. She married John Russ Turpin on Jan. 24, 1927. He died July 4, 1988.
Mrs. Turpin was a life resident of Perry Township and had graduated from Perry Central High School. She moved to Muncie eight years ago and had spent many winters in Bradenton, Fla.
She had worked for Brownsburg Packing Company and J.C. Penney in Florida. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Primitive Baptist Church in Fayette, the Mt. Tabor Ladies Aid Society, Loyal Workers Circle of Mt. Tabor Regular Baptist Church and Perry Homemakers Home Economics Club.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and B. Loraine Turpin of Brownsburg; a daughter, Sue C. Young of Muncie; grandchildren Lori A. and Richard E. Turpin, both of Brownsburg, Nancy Marsh of Pittsboro, Samuel R. Turpin of Indianapolis, Gregg A. Dickerson of Muncie and John C. Dickerson of Martinsville; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services were held June 20 at Myers Chapel of Memories in Lebanon with Elder Don McWilliams officiating. Interment was at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Fayette.

Wolfman
ATLANTA, Ga. -- Word has been received of the death of Sheila (Mulhall) Wolfman. She died May 18 in Atlanta, Ga.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Mulhall.
Mrs. Wolfman was a 1971 graduate of Plainfield High School and earned degrees from Indiana University in chemistry and biological sciences.
Survivors include sisters Theresa Bart of Plainfield and Paula Mulhall of California.
