Rita A. Gosnell McGee, 57, of Greenfield, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, at her home in Greenfield.
Born Oct. 12, 1946, in Greensburg, she was the daughter of Lowell R. and Dorothy B. (Alexander) Gosnell. She married Richard L. McGee on April 12, 1969; he survives.
Mrs. McGee was a 1964 graduate of Milroy High School and attended Indiana University. She was a secretary for Workforce Development for the State of Indiana. Previously, she was a church secretary at Community Christian Church of New Palestine, where she was a member and pianist for many years. She was a member of Tri Kappa Sorority.
Surviving are her mother, Dorothy B. Gosnell of Rushville; two sons, Christopher M. McGee of Franklin and Brian A. McGee of Indianapolis; a brother, Perry D. Gosnell of Rushville; a sister, Nancy J. Keppel of New Palestine; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lowell R. Gosnell.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield, with Minister W. Todd Beale officiating. Burial will follow in New Palestine Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.

Maxine Percell, 84, of Rushville, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, at Flatrock River Lodge.
Born Jan. 1, 1920, in Rush County, she was the daughter of Walter Denzil and Florence (Lower) Mull, both deceased. She married Deryl Morgan on Dec. 9, 1939; he preceded her in death. She then married Payton Percell on July 11, 1970; he also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Percell lived her entire life in Rush County, graduating from Manilla High School in 1938. She was a past member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Friendly Homemakers of Rushville. She was a member of Main Street Christian Church. She had worked as a waitress at the Milroy Restaurant and at Ruby's Diner in Milroy.
Survivors include one son, Stephen Morgan of Milroy; three daughters, Margaret Robertson of Rushville, Patricia (Mrs. Bill) Patterson of Lexington, Ky. and Mary Jo Morgan of Milroy; two step sons, David Percell of Arlington and Danny Percell of Rushville; three step daughters, Diann Clark and Deborah (Mrs. Jim) Evans, both of Rushville, and Doreen (Mrs. Ronnie) Jarman of New Salem; one brother, Russell Mull of Waterloo, N.Y.; one sister, Mrs. Barbara Robbins of Rushville; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and two husbands she was preceded in death by one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville, with the Rev. Deann Anderson and Pastor Phil Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Fisher Cemetery in Rush County. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.

Charles Brackman, 92
Charles Brackman, 92, of Greenfield, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, at Regency Place in Greenfield.
Born Dec. 5, 1911, in Minier, Ill., he was the son of Henry and Ernestina (Bluhm) Brackman, both deceased. He married Pauline Southerland on Nov. 14, 1934; she survives.
Mr. Brackman had lived in Rush County since 1961. Prior to that, he lived in Johnson County and in Illinois. He worked as a contractor in the Johnson County area from 1950 to 1960 and then farmed in Rush County. He was a member of Sexton Christian Church and was a preaching elder from Sexton and Fairview Christian churches. He started Fair Haven Christian Church in his farmhouse in Trafalgar.
Survivors in addition to his wife include three sons, Charles Alan Brackman of Muncie, James Edward Brackman of Mays, and Joseph Michael 'Mike' Brackman of New Palestine; one daughter, Marilyn (Mrs. Richard) Dunn of Rushville; one sister, Pearl (Mrs. Arthur) Rinkenburger of Gridley, Ill.; 18 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville, with Brian Smith officiating. Burial will follow in East Hill Cemetery in Rushville. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Friday at the mortuary.

Wayne W. White, 54, of New Castle, died Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004, at St. Vincent Hospital in Carmel.
Born Feb. 20, 1950, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Thomas Walter and Maxine (Wright) White; she survives.
Mr. White was a 1968 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School. He was employed at Chrysler Corporation for 10 years and also owned and operated The Saloon in Rushville and resided in Rushville for 20 years. He was a member of New Castle Baptist Church and was a member of the Elks Lodge in New Castle.
Survivors in addition to his mother include one son, Broc Alan White of Austin, Texas; one sister, Connie Garner of New Castle; one niece, Paige (Mrs. Doug) Fairchild; and two great-nephews, Brent and Brice Fairchild.

Edna C. Klein Baker, 99, of Rushville, died Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at Flatrock River Lodge in Rushville.
Born Oct. 8, 1904, in Rush County, she was the daughter of William and Philitine 'Minnie' (Wesling) Klein, both deceased. She married Carroll Baker on Aug. 27, 1927; he preceded her in death on Oct. 23, 1982.
Mrs. Baker attended Bentonville School and worked with her late husband on the farm where she lived for 72 years. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Cambridge City and the St. Elizabeth Altar Society.
Survivors include one daughter, Norma Jean (Mrs. John D.) Moran of Rushville.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one sister, Cora Geneva.

Justine Mitchell, 91
Justine Mitchell, 91, of Rushville, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004.
Born March 2, 1912, she was the daughter of Charles and Elma (Retherford) Green. She married George Mitchell in 1941; he preceded her in death in 1983.
Mrs. Mitchell graduated from Rushville High in 1930 and from Indiana University in 1934 with a bachelor's degree in English. She was retired from Rushville Consolidated High School. She had also taught at Anderson High School and Glenwood High School. She was a member of Main Street Christian Church; the American Legion Auxiliary (past president); Kappa Alpha Theta of IU; Tri Kappa Associate; Monday Circle; and Rush County Retired Teachers Association (past vice president).
Survivors include one son, Charles L. Mitchell; and three nephews.
Beside her husband, she was preceded by a brother, Dr. Frank Green.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at East Hill Cemetery in Rushville, with the Rev. Deann Anderson officiating. The Todd Funeral Home in Rushville is handling arrangements.

Robert Stanley Williams, 73
Robert Stanley Williams, 73, of Arlington, died Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at Hancock Memorial Hospital in Greenfield.
Born May 5, 1930, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of Stanley and Mary (Baldridge) Williams, both deceased. He married Joan Gardner on June 24, 1951; she survives.
Mr. Williams was a 1948 graduate of Arlington High School and attended Purdue University. He lived in the Arlington area most of his life. He was a member of Arlington Christian Church, Rush Lodge #580 F&AM, the Murat Shrine, the Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite, and Rushville American Legion Post #150. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during the Korean War. He worked as a manufacturing executive as the owner and operator of the Original Tractor Cab Company in Arlington until 1995.
Survivors in addition to his wife include three sons, Wayne D. Williams (and wife Audrey) of Indianapolis, Rick S. Williams (and wife Betsy) of Mays, and Randy Williams (and wife Beth) of Rushville; one sister, Kathleen A. (Mrs. Robert) Hine of Arlington; and five grandchildren.

Ruth Elizabeth (Wilson) Webb, 92, of Rushville, died Saturday, March 6, 2004, at Rush Memorial Hospital.
Born Feb. 29, 1912, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of William and Connie (Harcourt) Ward, both deceased. She married Fred B. Wilson in 1932; he died in 1962. She married Esta Webb in 1968; he also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Webb was employed at Rush Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a member of Main Street Christian Church and a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include two grandsons, Thomas N. Wilson of Texas and David Fred Wilson of Arizona; and six great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth E. Wilson.

Vivian V. Wilson, 91, of Indianapolis, died Saturday, March 6, 2004, at Cambridge Manor in Indianapolis.
Born Sept. 25, 1912, in Rush County, she was the daughter of Elmer E. and Flora Mae (Graham) Hunt, both deceased. She married Paul Wilson on Oct. 15, 1930; he preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 1979.
Mrs. Wilson lived most of her life in Rush County in the Mays area. Prior to moving to Indianapolis she lived in Fortville for nine years. She was a 1930 graduate of Carthage High School. She was the organist at Center Christian Church for 41 years prior to retiring in 1981. She also served as the church secretary for 39 years. She was a member of Center Christian Church and the Mays Study Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca (Mrs. Fred) Lee of Indianapolis and Karen (Mrs. Louis) Dice of Kokomo; one brother, Robert Hunt of Greenfield; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five step grandchildren; 10 step great-grandchildren; and six step great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Center Christian Church in Rush County, with Ron Sams officiating. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery in Rush County. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville.

Helen R. Spears, 73, of Greensburg, died Sunday, March 7, 2004, at Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.
Born March 25, 1930, in Bellview, she was the daughter of Ernest Lively and Lucille Tempia (Johnson) Priddy, both deceased. She married Malcom Spears on Sept. 3, 1968; he preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 1996.
Mrs. Spears worked as a dietitian at Decatur County Memorial Hospital until retiring in 1994.
Survivors include four sons, Lewis Yorn Jr., William Yorn Sr., James Russell Yorn, and Kelly Spears, all of Greensburg; one daughter, Shirley Loper of Greensburg; one stepson, Dennis Spears of Greensburg; two sisters, Shirley Lutes of Connersville and Janet Lemieux of California; 24 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.

Ruth Elizabeth Fox, 92, of Modoc, died Sunday, March 7, 2004, at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
Born May 27, 1911, in Johnson County, she was the daughter of Leonard and Bessie May (Rawlyns) Miller, both deceased. She married Donald Freeman Fox; he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Fox had been a resident of New Palestine for 68 years before moving to Modoc. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include four sons, Norman Carroll Fox of Freedom, Charles Larry Fox of Modoc, Jerry Lee Fox of Morristown, and William Gene Fox of Rushville; two sisters, Mary Katherine Kelly of Franklin and Jeanne Elenor Ingim of Florida; nine grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her stepmother Leona Clark Miller, one son, two brothers, four half brothers, three half sisters, and two grandchildren.
