ROBERT OWEN CUSHING, 69, Borden, died Monday, August 12, at Floyd County Memorial Hospital. He was a retired landscaper and a Navy veteran of the Korean conflict. Survivors include his wife, Naomi Adkins Cushing; four daughters, Denise Ashley, Sheila Jourdan, Sharon Twomey and Loreta Burke; one son, Russell Balsinger; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 14, at W.G. Hardy Valley Chapel with burial in Bethany Cemetery.

STANLEY D. CRABB, 77, New Albany, died Sunday, August 11, at Floyd Memorial Hospital. A native of Clarksville, he was a Navy veteran of World War II. He retired from the old Lewis Vending Company in New Albany and was a member of the Redman Club and Graceland Baptist Church. Survivors include four sons, Paul Yates of New Albany, Michael Crabb of Laurel, Maryland and David Crabb and James Crabb both of New Albany; one daughter, Patricia Embry of Borden; a sister, Betty Whitaker of Clarksville; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, August 13, at the Kraft Chapel with private entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. Kraft Funeral Service was in charge of the arrangements.

MARGUERITE C. FERGUSON, 81, New Albany, died Tuesday, August 13, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was the former Marguerite Clark, a native of Versailles, Kentucky, a home maker and attended Mt. Tabor Christian Church in Salem. Survivors include her husband, Mitchell Ferguson; one son, Michael Ferguson of Atlanta, Georgia; one daughter, Kitty Stumler of Atlanta, Georgia; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, August 16, at the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook Kieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes with entombment at Graceland Memorial Park.

DR. BILL J. FORSYTH, 65, Floyds Knobs, died Sunday, August 11, at his home in Pangburn, Arkansas. He was Professor Emeritus of Biology, a past department chairman and professional school advisor at Indiana University Southeast. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas and his teaching career spanning over 30 years. He received the All University Distinguished Teaching Award, IUS Outstanding Full Time Faculty Award and IU Presidents Award. He was a published scientific author, researcher. His service to education included a position on the Floyd County School Board. He was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman. Survivors include his wife, Dr. Teresa R. Forsyth; two daughters, Mary Anne Shilkitus of Tampa, Florida and Kelly Clark of Charleston, South Carolina. As per Dr. Forsyth's request, no funeral or memorial service was conducted. WANDA C. WILLIAMS, 71, Floyds Knobs, died Tuesday, August 13. She was a native of Glasgow, Kentucky, a former secretary, director and chairman of the board for the Harvest Homecoming Festival in New Albany where she had been active for years. She was a former member of the board of directors for the Indiana State Festival Committee, an innkeeper at the Holiday Inn in New Albany, an employee of the Alamo Frame shop, Tommy Lancaster's Restaurant and a member of the Carnegian's Inc. and the New Salem Baptist Church in Louisville. Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Kessinger of Louisville; one son, Don Williams of Floyds Knobs; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Friday, August 16, at the Kraft Chapel with burial in Poplar Log Cemetery near Glasgow. Kraft Funeral Services handled the arrangements.

JOHN WILLIAM "BILL" HELBIG, 74, Floyds Knobs, died Wednesday, August 14, at Floyd Memorial Hospital. A native of Floyds Knobs, he was a former employee of Denton and Voyles Paving Company and a retired employee from Gohmann Asphalt and Construction. He was also a member of St. Joe Hill Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Zelona "Onie" Helbig; two sons, Larry Helbig and Jerry Helbig, both of Clarksville; four daughters, Joyce Hagest of Borden, Donna Helbig of Sellersburg, Susan Troncin of New Albany and Judy Bearden of Clarksville; a step-son, Dale Nichols of Palmyra; a step-daughter, Jeannie Wingler of Salem; two brothers, Robert Helbig of Clarksville and Ronald Helbig of Floyds Knobs; two sisters, Doris Helbig of New Albany and Linda Helbig of Floyds Knobs; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 17, at St. Joe Hill Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Kraft Funeral Service handled the arrangements.

MARY FRANCES LAHUE SIEG, 85, Depauw, died Thursday, August 15. Services were conducted Monday, August 19, at the Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey, with burial in the Milltown Cemetery.

SHARON BIGGS McLAUGHLIN, 60, Jeffersonville, died Thursday, August 15, at the Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville. She was a native of Bloomington, and a member of the V.F.W. Post 3281 Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Robert McLaughlin; two sons, Dave Fleetwood of Scottsburg, and Jay Biggs of Kansas City, Kansas; a daughter, Angie Johnston of Lanesville; a stepdaughter, Shannon McLaughlin of Louisville; her mother, Anna Freeman of Phoenix, Arizona; a brother, Tony Freeman of Tell City; a sister, Melody Freeman of Phoenix; and seven grandchildren. Services were conducted Monday, August 19, at the Kraft Funeral Service in New Albany. Expressions of sympathy should go to the American Cancer Society or Dwelling Place Ministry.

CATHERINE QUEBBEMAN, 94, New Salisbury, died Thursday, August 15, at the Harrison County Hospital in Corydon. She was a native of New Salisbury, and was a self-employed artist. She was a member of the Central Barren United Methodist Church. Survivors include a brother, Donald Quebbeman of Pueblo, Colorado, and a sister, Frances Quebbeman of New Salisbury. Services were conducted Monday, August 19, at the Love Funeral Hom in Palmyra, with burial in the Central Barren Cemetery.

FERN CONRAD WILLIAMS, 85, Corydon, died Wednesday, August 14, at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville. She was a native of Harrison County, and a retired elementary school teacher from the Lanesville Community Schools, and a member of the Indiana State Retired Teachers Association, Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post No. 2950 in Corydon, and the Zoar United Methodist Church in Corydon. Survivors include a son, David Williams of Evansville; a sister, Grace Liebert of New Albany; and two grandchildren. Services were conducted Saturday, August 17, at the Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey with burial in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

GENEVA MAE EMMONS, 76, Georgetown, died Thursday, August 15. A native of Larue County, Ky., she was the former Geneva Mae Vernon and was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lanesville. Survivors include four daughters, Patricia England and Janet Harrell, both of Georgetown; Linda Laslie of New Salisbury, and Evelyn Emmons of New Albany; one sister, Lillian Slack of Elizabethtown, Ky.; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two great-grandchildren-to-be. Services were conducted Monday, August 19,at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lanesville, with burial in the church cemetery. CHRISTOPHER A. MATERO, 31, Greenville, died Wednesday, August 7, at Monte Perucho, Puerto Rico from injuries sustained in a U.S. Air Force plane crash. A native of Yonkers, New York, he was a former resident of Pope Air Force Base in Fayetteville, North Carolina and Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a Technical Sergeant/Lieutenant-Select. He was a graduate of Arlington High School and Combat Controll Clas 93-2 and a Combat Controller for the Special Forces of the United States Air Force, serving with the Kentucky Air National Guard at Standiford Field, in Louisville. He was also a life member of the Association of Combat Controllers. Survivors include his wife, the former Roneisa Nicholson; his father, Frank Matero of LaGrangeville, New York; a daughter, Brianna Matero; a son, Dante Matero; three brothers, John Matero of White Plains, New York, Michael Matero of LaGrangeville and Robert Matero of LaGrangeville; and several nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, August 20, at the St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction, New York, with interment with full miliary honors in the St. Denis Church Cemetery. McHoul Funeral Home Inc. in Hopewell Junction was in charge of arrangements. PAUL THOMAS ALLEN, 78, Charlestown, died Monday, August 12, at the Medical Center of Southern Indiana. He was a native of Deland, Florida, a Navy veteran of World War II, a retired truck driver for the old Motor Convoy in Louisville and a member of the Blazing Star Masonic Lodge #226, the Scottish Rite Valey of Indy, Teamsters Local #89 in Louisville and the First Baptist Church in Astor, Florida. Survivors include his wife, Johnnie M. Allen of Charlestown; three sons, John T., Ronald P. and Steven W. Allen, all of Charlestown; two daughters, Patricia A. Doyle of Marysville and Paulette Dohoney of Salem; three sisters, Mary H. Reynolds of Deland, Florida, Marvina Davis of Dothan, Al. and Betty Bessinger of Winter Park, Florida; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 14, at Grayson's Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in the Charlestown Cemetery. MANFORD WILLIAM EKART, 73, Sellersburg, died on Monday, August 12, at his home. He was a native of Harrison County and a self-employed carpenter and bricklayer. Survivors include a son, Gary Ekart of Knox; a daughter, Judy Archibald of Leavenworth; two brothers, Denzil Ekart and Burrell Ekart, both of Laconia; a sister, Thelma Durbin of Hardinsburg; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, August 15, at 2 p.m. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial at Charlestown Cemetery.

ROSIE ETTA OWEN, 91, Jeffersonville, died Wednesday, August 14, at Clark Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Hart County, Kentucky. Survivors include her sisters Carrie B. Snelling of Clarksville and Eunice Barrett of Henryville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Friday, August 16, at Coots Funeral Home with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.

MARY ELVENIA KELLY, 67, Charlestown, died Thursday, August 15, in Shelbyville, Ky. She was a native of Middlesboro, Ky., and a former Greater Clark County teacher's aide for Jonathan Jennings Elementary School and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 335. Survivors include her husband, Glen D. Kelly; three sons, Danny Kelly of Clarksville, and David and Donald Kelly, both of Charlestown; one daughter, Peggy McMillen of Shelbyville; three brothers, Delano Barnett of Taylorsville, Ky, J.C. Barnett of Louisville and Theodore Barnett of Taswell; four sisters, Bernell Sorrells of Louisville, Ola Mae Campbell of Bluff City, Tenn; Dola Hoskins of Maynardsville, Tenn., and Lunette Smith of Taswell, Tenn; and eight grandchildren. Services were conducted Monday, at the Grayson's Funeral Home in Charlestown, with cremation to follow.

WILLIAM S. GRAY, 92, Jeffersonville, died Friday, August 16, at the Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville. A native of Nabb, he was self-employed and a member of the Christian faith. He was a World War II Army Veteran and a member of the VFW and American Legion. Survivors include his wife, the former Mildred H. Hinds; two step-daughters, Carolyn Williams Bennett of Pine Knoll Shores, North Carolina, and Loretta Williams Handley of Plantation, Florida; a sister, Lillian Zimmerman of Jeffersonville; several nieces and nephews; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Services were conducted Monday, August 19, at the Crown Hill Cemetery with full military honors. Weathers Funeral Home in Salem was in charge of arrangements.

MAUDIE CATHERINE UNDERWOOD, Funeral Services for MAUDIE CATHERINE UNDERWOOD, 82, formerly of Nabb, will be held on Tuesday, August 20, at the Grayson New Washington Funeral Home, with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery. She is survived by one brother, Bill Layton of Nabb.

ERNEST R. DODGE, 65, Sellersburg, died Sunday, August 18. He was a retired employee of Brown and Williamson in Louisville, an Army veteran, having served in active duty in occupied Germany, and a member of the Crandall Masonic Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police, Bonnie Sloan Post American Legion, VFW Post No. 3281 and the 40&8, all in New Albany. Survivors include his caregiver, Carol Dodge; the mother of his children, Gracie Dodge; a son, Daniel Dodge of Indianapolis; two daughters, Victoria Gagel of New Salisbury, and Melissa Wiseheart of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two brothers, Thomas Dodge of Jasper and Paul Dodge of Corydon; his stepchildren, Linda and Bill Hedrick, Junior and Carla Cochran, Dee Cochran and Debbie and Sean Nally; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services with full military honors were conducted Wednesday, August 21, at the Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, with burial in the Hursttown Cemetery near Corydon.

JACK W. CLARK, 70, New Albany, died Monday, August 12, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. A native of Harrodsburg, Ky., he graduated from the University of Kentucky and received his Masters Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Renselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. He had a long career with General Electric and Westinghouse and was retired. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Winston Clark; a sister, Anne Thacker of Mt. Washington, Ky; two sons, Douglas W. Clark of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and David M. Clark of Durham, North Carolina; a daughter, Linda Clark Uhl of Memphis; and seven grandchildren. Services were conducted Saturday, August 17, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel in Harrodsburg, Ky., with burial in the Springhill Cemetery. VIOLA B. EHRINGER, 71, Sellersburg, died Thursday, August 15, at the Green Valley Convalescent Home in New Albany. She was the former Viola Taylor and was a native of Underwood. She worked as a counselor for the Salvation Army and was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Arthur Ehringer of Sellersburg; two sons, Phillip Ehringer and Douglas Ehringer, both of Sellersburg; two brothers, Harvey Taylor of Seymour, and Gene Taylor of Jeffersonville; and four grandchildren. Services were conducted Saturday, August 17, at the St. Paul Catholic Church in Sellersburg, with burial in the Sellersburg Cemetery. MAURICE "BUB" BENNETT, 43, Fredericksburg, died Sunday, August 11, at his home. He was a lifetime resident of Washington County and an employee of Link Handle Company of Salem. Survivors include two sisters, Judy Copeland of Campbellsburg and Theresa Kirkpatrick of Ardmore, Oklahoma; and five half-sisters, Cora Mae Beaty of French Lick, Helen Davis of West Baden Springs, Carol Kern of Jasper, Nancy Beaty of Ellettsville and Maxine Terry of Shoals. Funeral services were held on Thursday, August 15, at Dawalt Funeral Home with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery.

THOMAS KOLESAR SR., 82, Fredericksburg, died Thursday, August 15, at his home. A native of Youngstown Ohio, he was a retired truck driver from the CCC Trucking Company in Niles, Ohio. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Nichlous Catholic Church in Youngstown, Ohio. Survivors include one son, Thomas Kolesar Jr. of Warren, Ohio. Services were conducted Sunday, August 18, at the Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, with burial in the Kays Chapel Cemetery near Fredericksburg.

SHIRLEY ANN GARRISON, 64, Hardinsburg, died Friday, August 16, at the St. Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida. A native of Washington County, she was co-owner of Garrison Trucking and a member of the Smedley Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Dewey Garrison of Hardinsburg; a son, Bryan Garrison of Hardinsburg; two daughters, Lea Ann Hicks and Melissa Farmer, both of Hardinsburg; two brothers, Donald Maudlin of Columbus, and Nelson Maudlin of Salem; and four grandchildren. Services were conducted Tuesday, August 20, at the Weathers Funeral Home, with burial in the Crown Hill Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy should go to the Washington County Community Foundation.

FORREST N. (TORK) GATER, 69, Scottsburg, died Saturday, August 17, at his home. A native of Little York, he served in the Korean War as a Corporal in the U.S. Army, and was a retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Scottsburg. Survivors include a sons, David Gater of Little York; four daughters, Valerie L. Kelly of Salem, Linda Yousefivand of Torrence, California, Janet C. Moore of Salem, and Dawn Gater of Salem; three brothers, Rollin Gater of Columbus, Merrill Gater of Solsberry, and Conroy Gater of Speed; four sisters, Loetta Parker of Memphis, Alice Voyles of Salem, Annie Neel of Pekin, and Carolyn Beil of Summerfield, Florida; and nine grandchildren. Services with full military honors were conducted Tuesday, August 20, at the Dawalt Funeral Home in Salem, with burial in the Mt. Eden Cemetery in Scottsburg.

CARL RAY "BUD" BUSH, 50, Salem, died Thursday, August 15. He was employed by Blue River Industries and was a member of the Blue River Christian Church. Survivors include two brothers, and two sisters. A private funeral was held. Weathers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Expressions of sympathy should go to "Shop with a Cop."

WILLIAM Y. GOLDEN, M.D., 72, Pekin, died Monday, August 12. Services were conducted Friday, August 16, at the Scott Funeral Home North Chapel in Jeffersonville, with burial in the Walnut Ridge Cemetery.

NAN LOU BATES, 79, Scottsburg, died on Tuesday, August 13. A homemaker, she was originally from Jackson County, Ky., and resided most of her life in Scottsburg. She was a member of the Christian Pilgrim Church in Austin. Survivors include a son, Phillip N. Bates of Austin; three daughters, Rebecca L. Fox of Austin, Nancy Cottingham of Crothersville and Elizabeth Brown of Scottsburg; two brothers, Tommy Reynolds of Austin and Ovie Reynolds of Lincoln Park, Mi.; a sister, Mary Ruth Brummett of Austin; ten grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The funeral was conducted on Friday, August 16, at the Stewart Funeral Home in Scottsburg. Goble Wooten, Keith Wingham and Mike Brown officiated. Burial was in New Providence Cemetery in Austin. ARLIE V. DELPH, 60, Brownstown, died on Monday, August 12, at his home. He had lived in Jackson County most of his life and was a U.S. Army veteran and a former Brownstown police officer. A carpenter, he was a member of Union Local 1775 of Columbus and attended Midway Apostolic Church in Medora. Survivors include his widow, the former Pamela Foster; a son, Kurtis Delph of Alexander City, Al.; four daughters, Valerie Barrett of Austin, Vonda Essary of Redoak, Tx., Gina McCormick of Kissimmee, Fl., and Jody Steinkamp of Vallonia; his mother, Zema Barnett Delph of Brownstown; four brothers, Walter Delph, Junior Delph, Lonnie Delph and Larry Delph, all of Brownstown; two sisters, Mattie Wheeler of Seymour and Joyce Barnard of Brownstown; and 15 grandchildren. The funeral was conducted on Thursday, August 15, at the Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown. The Rev. Cecil Bowling and the Rev. Kelly Reed officiated. Burial was in Vallonia Cemetery following a military graveside service.

STACY LEA SMITH, 38, Seymour, died on Tuesday, August 13 at Memorial Hospital in Seymour. She was a Jackson County native . Survivors include her father, Ronald Smith of Seymour; a brother, Terrance W. Smith of Seymour; a sister, Barbara A. Jaeger of Seymour; and several nieces and nephews. A private, graveside service was conducted on Thursday, August 15. Staff of the Adams Funeral Home in Crothersville was in charge of arrangements.

BERTHA I. THOMPSON, 90, Scottsburg, died on Monday, August 12, at Scott Villa Living Center in Scottsburg, where she had been residing. She was born in Danville, Il., and was a homemaker and a member of the Scottsburg Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include a son, the Rev. David Eugene Ault of Terre Haute; a daughter, Georgiann Thompson Cline of Austin; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. The funeral was conducted on Wednesday, August 14, at the Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin. The Rev. Rodney Osbourne officiated. Burial was in Scaffold Lick Cemetery near Blocher. RAYMOND J. SOMMER, 82, Madison, died on Sunday, August 11, at his home. A U.S. Army veteran and Purple Heart recipient of World War II, he was a Jefferson County native and a farmer and a retired employee of the Jefferson Proving Grounds. He had also been a former employee of The Williamson Company. Memberships included Prince of Peace Catholic Church, American Legion Post 9, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1969, Madison Eagles Lodge, Rod and Gun Club of the Jefferson Proving Grounds, American Association of Retired Persons and the St. Joseph's Society of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in China. Survivors include his widow, the former Margaret Thinnes; three sons, Robert Sommer of Madison, Donald Sommer of Hanover and John Sommer of Hope Mills, N.C.; five daughters, Ramona Wild of Scottsdale, Az., Sandra Smallwood of Louisville, Ky.; Mary Brown and Rose Furnish, both of Madison; and Susan Anderson of Lexington; a brother, Bernard Sommer of Madison; three sisters, Frances Yancey of Madison, Pauline Whalen of Durango, Co., and Mary Williams of Huntsville, Al.; 20 grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. A rosary service was held on Tuesday evening, August 13, at Vail-Holt Funeral Home, Madison Chapel. The funeral was conducted on Wednesday, August 14, at the funeral home following visitation. The Rev. Father John Meyer officiated. Burial was in St. Anthony's Cemetery in China following a military graveside service performed by the Honor Guard of American Legion Post 9. Memorial contributions may be arranged through the staff of the funeral home to benefit St. Anthony's Cemetery Association.

DARREN W. PALMER, 37, Scottsburg, died on Friday, August 9, at University of Louisville Hospital of complications from injuries he had received in a traffic accident in July. Born in Lawrenceburg, he was a member of New Frankfort Pentecostal Church. Survivors include his widow, Tammy Palmer; his parents, Wayne E. and Carolyn Henson Palmer of Austin; two brothers, Jeff Palmer of Scottsburg and Rodney Palmer of Lexington; and two sisters, Karen Terry of Austin and Tammy Simpkins of Scottsburg. The funeral was conducted on Monday, August 12, at his church. The Rev. Marvin McIntosh officiated. Burial was in Spurgeon Cemetery near Austin. Staff of the Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin was in charge of arrangements.

RUSSELL L. KENDALL, 46, Austin, died on Thursday, August 8, at his home. Born in Scottsburg, he had worked at Julian's Amoco Station in Scottsburg for 32 years, reaching the position of manager. Just recently, the repair shop had reopened, and he had rejoined the business. He attended the House of Prayer in Austin. Survivors include his widow, the former Patty Griffen; a daughter, Jenny Smith of Austin; his mother, Patti Redman Kendall of Scottsburg; a brother, Terry Kendall of Scottsburg; a sister, Debbie Miller of Scottsburg; and a grandson. The funeral was conducted on Sunday, August 11, at the Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin. The Rev. Bobby Spicer officiated. Burial was in New Providence Cemetery near Austin.

GARRY LEE CLARK, 51, Seymour, died on Thursday, August 8, at Memorial Hospital there. Formerly of Louisville, he was a maintenance man for several apartment complexes. He was a member of the Apostolic faith. Survivors include a son, Garry Bryan Clark; three brothers, James "Jim" Clark, Joseph "Manuel" Clark and Roger D. Clark; four sisters, Virginia Wilkins, Carol Cheshire, Joyce Keen and Karen Meyers; his fiancée, Freda Carta; and two grandsons. The funeral was conducted on Monday, August 12, at the Owen Funeral Home in Louisville, Ky. Burial was in Bethany Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy can be arranged through the staff of the funeral home, located at 5317 Dixie Highway, to benefit the family.

E. MARIE (KEMP) WATSON, 72, Noblesville, died on Tuesday, August 6, at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville, where she had been residing. A Clark County native, she was a homemaker and a member of Lighthouse Fellowship Church of God in Noblesville. Survivors include a son, Jerry K. Watson II of Noblesville; a daughter, Mettie Burns of Noblesville; a brother, Bill Kemp of Champion, Ohio; a sister, Berta Swaney of Norfolk, Va.; and six grandchildren. The funeral was conducted on Thursday, August 8, at Wagner and Hughes Family Mortuary in Noblesville. The Rev. Kenneth Lee officiated. Burial was in Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
