Carolyn Ann Termini
March 21, 1932 - July 3, 2005
Carolyn Ann Termini passed away on July 3. Born in Medaryville, Carolyn was a resident of Yuba City, Calif. for the last 10 years.
Carolyn will be long remembered for sharing her gifts, talents and passions for music, education and crafts. She devoted many hours to helping others to overcome struggles in school in reading, math and many other areas. Her talent and love for music was shared with many through her teaching piano and other musical skills. There are homes that are brightened by the cheerful decorations that were created by Carolyn as she shared her love for crafts with others.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Joseph S. Termini, Sons Greg A. Mudge of Taft, Calif., Steve Mudge of Bakersfield, Calif. and Randy Mudge of Desert Springs, Calif., daughters Debbie Mudge and Cindy Mudge both of Sonora, Calif., a brother Robert Maddox of Winamac, 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Carolyn was preceeded in death by her mother Anna Maddox and her father George Maddox.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Carolyn Termini Memorial Music Scholarship fund to help young people enhance their love for music through education. Donations can be deposited at any Bank of America, account 01520-40893.

Clayton Norman "Bunny" Jones
September 24, 1922 - July 25, 2005
Clayton Norman "Bunny" Jones, 82, 1384 E. 315 S., Winamac, passed away on July 25 at the VA Medical Center in Danville, Ill. He was born Sept. 24, 1922 in Crown Point, and was the son of Clayton Norman and Mary Ellen Garvey Jones. On Dec. 11, 1975 in Culver, he married Katherine S. Mahler, who survives.
Clayton was a millwright and was Past Master of Winamac Lodge 262 F&AM in Winamac, a former member of the Orak Shrine Temple and the Pulaski-Starke Shrine Club, the American Legion in Medaryville, the VFW and the Eagles, in Winamac.
Bunny was a member of the Millwright Union in Gary and had worked in several steel mills. He served as a surgical technician in Italy and Central Europe during WWII. He was an avid horseshoe pitcher and a loving father and grandfather.
Surviving are his wife Katherine of Winamac, three daughters: Mary E. Jones of Camden, Norma G. [David ] Tolliver of Valparaiso, and Judith Ann Maffris of Wheeling, Ill. A sister, Eleanor McCann of Crown Point also survives, along with two grandsons, three granddaughters, three great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Bunny was preceded in death by six brothers, four sisters, one step-sister, one step-daughter and two step-sons.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, with Pastor Steve Fritchman officiating. Interment will take place in Calumet Park Cemetery on July 28, 2005 at 2 p.m. in Merrillville, where military graveside services will be conducted.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and after 8 a.m. Thursday at Frain Mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Robert "Bob" B. Jones
October 7, 1915 - July 6, 2005
June 19, 1916 - July 24, 2005 Robert "Bob" B. Jones, 89, of Kewanna, died Sunday, July 24 at Pulaski Health Care Center in Winamac. He was born June 19, 1916 in Indianapolis and was the son of Thomas "Tom" and Elmira (Brown) Jones.
On March 7, 1937 in Fulton, he married Marjorie I. Spotts; she died on April 20, 1995.
Robert was a retired Wayne Township farmer and an electrician. He was a member of Grass Creek United Methodist Church, where he held many church offices. He was a 1936 graduate of Grass Creek High School.
Survivors include a daughter, Pam [Terry] Campbell of Greenfield; two sons: Jerry [Connie] Jones of Winamac, and Bill [Pat] Jones of Kewanna. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Jack [Karen] Jones and Tom [Becky] Jones, both of Star City, Tracy Campbell of Greenfield and Jill Campbell of Indianapolis; a grandson-in-law, Robert Kirkley of Mishawaka.; and four great-grandchildren: Ashley, Chelsey, Hailey and Cooper Jones.
Robert was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lorie (Jones) Kirkley, and four brothers: Alva, Arthur, Ezra, and Oscar. One sister, Mrytle, also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 28, at the Grass Creek United Methodist Church, with Rev. Terry Campbell officiating. Burial will take place in the Grass Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at Harrison-Metzger Funeral Home in Kewanna from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday (today) and one hour before services, Thursday at the church.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Grass Creek United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, or to the Caring Place, 3107 Cascade Drive, Valparaiso, 46383 in memory of Bob's granddaughter, Lorie (Jones) Kirkley.

Vanesse Lynn Fort
December 17, 1960 - July 26, 2005
Vanesse Lynn Fort, 44, of Kewanna, died July 26, 2005 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. She was born December 17, 1960 in Richmond, Va. and was the daughter of Charles and Martha L. Atkinson Taylor. On May 19, 1979 she was married in Mystic, Conn. to Eric Kraig Fort, who died on March 15, 2000. She was a homemaker and a 1978 graduate of Fitch High School in Groton, Conn.
Vanesse is survived by three sons: Shaun Taylor, Jaeson Fort and Mikel Fort all of Kewanna; one brother Charles Taylor of Ledyard, Conn.; three sisters: Ann Burns and Sue Star of Groton, Conn., and Debbie Metcalf of Monroe, Mich.; a grandson Jayson Taylor and a granddaughter, Kiara Taylor, both of Kewanna. She was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be a memorial service held at a later date. Harrison Metzger Funeral Home in Kewanna were in charge of arrangements.

Garry Steven Stotler
March 28, 1950 - July 25, 2005
Garry Steven Stotler, 55, 6841 N. Walnut Street, Monterey died July 25 at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. He was the son of Evert D. and Bertha (Rater) Stotler.
On June 14, 1980 in Monterey, he married Janice L. Bauer, who survives.
Garry was a member of St. Anne's' Catholic Church and had worked as a machinist mechanic at Machine Tool Specialists in Valparaiso.
Survivors include, his wife, Janice L. Stotler of Monterey, a daughter, Erin Stotler of Muncie, a son Jeremy S. Stotler of Indianapolis, a sister Lois [Mervin] Lemeron of Winamac, six brothers, Kenneth Stotler of Winamac, Gene [Linda] Stotler of Monterey, Ronald Stotler, Phenix City, Ala., Richard [Sharon] Stotler, Ellettsville, and Lester [Donna] Stotler of Wanatah.
Funeral services were held on July 29 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Monterey. Rev Bert Woolson officiated. Burial took place in St. Anne's Cemetery.
Frain Mortuary in Winamac was in charge of arrangements.

Richard Lee Beauchamp
October 11, 1937 - August 5, 2005
Richard Lee Beauchamp, 67, of Tangent, Oregon died Friday, August 5, 2005 at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, Ore. He was born on October 11, 1937 in LaPorte, and was the son of Burson and Margaret Folkers Beauchamp.
As a small child Richard lived on a dairy farm in Wisconsin, but was raised in Indiana and graduated from Winamac High School.
On September 28, 1961 in Corvallis he married Susan Stevenson; she survives.
Richard served 10 years in the U.S. Marines Corps., and was trained at Camp Pendleton, Calif. They lived in California until being stationed in South Carolina. The Beauchamps lived in Chicago for two years before moving to Seattle and the Northwest. They came to the Willamette Valley in the early 70's and currently resided in Tangent. Richard was a truck driver for 40 years, hauling wood products. He had worked for Nix Trucking and Timber By- Products.
He especially appreciated family time and his grandchildren. He loved cars and especially buying them.
Richard liked working outdoors and camping on the coast and near sisters in Ore. He was a quiet man with a good sense of humor. He enjoyed his dogs and was an avid animal lover.
Family members who survive include his wife, Susan L. Beauchamp of Tangent, Ore.; two daughters: Tracey L. Batts of Albany, Ore., and Erica L. Jones of Auburn, Wash.; a brother, Jack Beauchamp of Logansport; a sister, Kay Rose of North Liberty; five grandchildren: Jamie of Conn., Sarah of N.C., and Sydney, Jack and Leah of Wash.; and four nieces and four nephews.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Second Ward, in Albany, Ore. A private family committal will be at Deschutes Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Bend, Ore.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Fisher Funeral Home, 306 Washington SW, Albany, Oregon, 97321.

Russell E. Koebcke
October 21, 1915 - August 4, 2005
Russell E. Koebcke, 89, 7082 W. 100 S., Kewanna, died August 4, 2005 at his residence. He was born October 21, 1915 in Francesville, and was the son of Joseph and Flora Kopka Koebcke.
On December 17, 1938, Russell married Lauramay Wandrey in Valparaiso; she survives.
He was a farmer and a charter member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Winamac. He held office in the church until 2000. He enjoyed fishing and golfing. He lived in Kewanna since 1951, coming from Winamac.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Colleen M. [Delbert] May of Rochester; two sons: Larry L. [Kay] Koebcke of Valparaiso, and Walter L. [Donna J.] Koebcke of Kewanna; eight grandchildren: Larry [Denise] Koebcke of Valparaiso, David [Jenni] Koebcke of Medford, N.J., Allison [Josh] Tyler of Indianapolis, Kelly May of Indianapolis, Russell C. [Terry)]Koebcke of Kewanna, Bret Koebcke of Rochester, Chera [Craig] Singleton of Fort Wayne, and Laura [Shawn] Dzugas, of Mesa, Ariz.; and eight great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are four sisters; Ruth Cantley of LaPorte, Marie Knebel of Waynesboro, Va., Sylvia Dodge of West Lafayette, and Clara Schmicker of Winamac; three brothers: Samuel Koebcke of McCalla, Ala., Williard Koebcke of Francesville, and Daniel Koebcke of Crystal River, Fla.
Russell was preceded in death by two brothers: Clarence and Joseph Koebcke.
Funeral services were held on Monday, August 8, 2005 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Winamac, with Rev. WM. Daniel O'Connor and Pastor Carl Fitchett officiating. Burial took place at the Bruce Lake Cemetery, in Lake Bruce. Frain Mortuary in Winamac in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Luke Lutheran Church in Winamac.
