Gerald "Jerry" Wagner
July 30, 1943 - March 6, 2007
Gerald "Jerry" Wagner, 63, died March 6, at Starke Memorial Hospital in Knox.
A memorial service was held at the Fellowship Baptist Church of Winamac on Friday, March 9.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family. Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel is handling arrangements.

Martha L. Eber
September 27, 1917 - March 7, 2007
Martha L. Eber, 89, formerly of Rochester, died at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2007, in WoodBridge Health Campus in Logansport.
Born Sept. 27, 1917, in North Manchester, she was the daughter of Oscar Crill and Cora Stocker. She was married May 1, 1938, in Donaldson, to Paul A. Eber, who preceded in death Dec. 10, 1998.
Mrs. Eber was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Fulton Baptist Temple, where she was active in the church choir and various youth fellowship activities.
She was a lady of many talents. She was an avid artist and did oil paintings, china plates, pins, pendants and figurines. She also poured and painted porcelain dolls. Her drawing of the Haimbaugh Round Barn was chosen to be displayed on the first memorabilia plate in 1971, and was also selected for the first custom Rochester Telephone Company directory cover in 1992.
Martha was an excellent cook and was well known for her delicious cakes, pies, cookies and her homemade bread. She also made and decorated wedding cakes.
Martha and Paul spent most of their life on their farm in Liberty Township, Fulton County, before moving to Rochester in 1991. Martha and her late husband, Paul, were the proud parents of two sons and two daughters often referred to as the four-B's.
Surviving are two daughters: Bev [Tom] Gundrum of Logansport, and Bonnie [Larry] Mikesell of Rochester; two sons: Bob [Mary Jane] Eber and Bill [Laura] Eber all of Rochester; one sister, Mable Sullivan of Twelve Mile; 10 grandchildren: Tonya [Chris] Smith of Logansport, Lucinda Mikesell of Mount Washington, Ky., Becky [Peter] Schram of Atlanta, Corrina [Calvin] Miller of West Point, Brenda Eber and Brian [Hope] Eber all of Rochester, Tabatha Garcia of Abilene, Tx., Ray [Kit] Eber of Twelve Mile, Rusty [Logan] Newby of Lucerne, and Kalea [Kerry] Brouyette of Rochester; and great-grandchildren: Kyle and Kevin Smith of Logansport, Zachary and Nicole Spencer, and Lauren and Ashlee Schram all of Atlanta, Nash Miller of West Point, Branson Eber of Brookston, Destinee, Nathaniel and Savanna Garcia of Abilene, Tx., and Kaden Brouyette of Rochester.
Four brothers: Lloyd, Paul, Harold and her twin brother Wayne, preceded in death.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Russell officiating the services. Burial was in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery, Rochester. Memorial contributions may be made to Fulton Baptist Temple.

Harrel K. Corbin
Aug. 15, 1908 - March 10, 2007
Harrel K. Corbin, 98, of Francesville, died March 10, at Parkview Haven Retirement Home. He was born Aug. 15, 1908 in Piper City, Ill., to John Ambrose and Elsie (McNeely) Corbin.
On Sept. 28, 1932, in Barkley Township, Jasper County, he married Elizabeth Ellen Popp. She died on Oct. 9, 1984.
Harrel was a resident of Pulaski County since 1927, also having lived in Grass Creek for five years. He was raised in Piper City, Ill. and attended school there. Harrel was retired from farming after 75 years. He was quite gifted mechanically and used his skills in maintaining John Deere equipment on the family farm. He enjoyed life and conversations with family and friends about family history and religion. Harrel enjoyed spending time with his pet dog. He was affiliated with the Medaryville First Christian Church.
Survivors include a son, Edward [Sharon] Corbin of Francesville; two grandsons: Edward [Mercedes] Corbin, Jr. and William [Barbara] Corbin both of Francesville; three great-grandchildren: Tara and Nick Corbett and Ryann Barrett; and three great-great-grandchildren: Noah Corbett and Payton and Kyra Barrett. He was preceded in death by his parents: John Ambrose and Elsie (McNeely) Corbin; his wife and three brothers.
The family will receive friends at Jackson Funeral Chapel in Rensselaer on Wednesday, March 14 (today), from 9-11 a.m. C.D.T. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 14, at 11 a.m. C.D.T. also at Jackson Funeral Chapel with Pastor Gary Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to The American Diabetes Association or the charity of the donor's choice.

John "Jack" E. Hogan
November 29, 1922- March 8, 2007
John "Jack" E. Hogan, 84 , Kewanna, went to the Great Yard Sale in the sky at 11:50 a.m., Thursday, March 8 in Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.
Born on Nov. 29, 1922 in Kewanna, he was the son of the late Elra Hogan and the late Ida Dahlke Hogan. John was a 1940 graduate of Kewanna High School. He married Florence Brown on January 18, 1946, in White Horse, New Jersey, she survives. Mr. Hogan was a WWII Army veteran, a recipient of the Bronze Star for his service during the Battle of the Bulge.November 29, 1922- March 8, 2007 He was a member of Kewanna U.M.C., Fulton County Historical Society, the Rochester American Legion Post #336, where he formerly served in the Honor Guard, V.F.W. Post #1121 and the Rochester Eagles Lodge #852. He worked at Sealed Power Co., Rochester, for 20 years until his retirement in 1987.November 29, 1922- March 8, 2007 Jack never knew a stranger. His hobbies included auctions, yard sales, dancing and being around people.November 29, 1922- March 8, 2007 Survivors include his wife, Florence "Flo" Hogan of Kewanna, his son, Michael E. Graham of Kewanna; son-in-law, Joseph Federer of Wolcott; sister, Connie Shaw of LaPorte; grandchildren: Johna Bouda, Noah Hogan, John Dees, Katy Nimitz, Jason Federer, Kristen Federer, Sarah McCleary, David White, Stephanie Malchow, Jamie Smith, Wendy Smith, great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Dees, Hayley Nimitz, Michael Nimitz, Kaitlyn Malchow, Lucas Malchow, Madison Carmen, and Haley Shock.November 29, 1922- March 8, 2007 He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda K. Federer; brother, Roy Hogan; sister, Nelda Reed; granddaughter, Mary Beth White; and son-in-law, Ozzie Graham.November 29, 1922- March 8, 2007 His funeral service was at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 12 at Harrison-Metzger Funeral Home, Kewanna, with Pastor David Sommers officiating. Burial followed in the Citizens I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Kewanna with full military rites. November 29, 1922- March 8, 2007 Memorials may be made to the Kewanna Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Iola B. Maeda
Jan. 7, 1917 - March 6, 2007
Iola B. Maeda, 624 E. 13th Street, Winamac, died March 6, at Pulaski Health Care Center in Winamac. She was born Jan. 7, 1917 in Eldorado, Ill., the daughter of Zeke and Ruth (Farley) Golden.
Iola was a former Lake County resident. She was also a Store Manager. Iola loved reading and traveling.
Survivors include two daughters: Beverly [Alan] Pasley of Houston, Texas, and Sharon Lemeron of Winamac; two sons: Edgar [Delores] Scroggins, Evans City, Pa., and Edward Scroggins of Ogden Dunes; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; four sisters and one brother. She was preceded in death by her parents: Zeke and Ruth [Farley] Golden; and a son, Bernard Scroggins No funeral services will be conducted.

Mary K. DePoy
Dec. 16, 1934 - March 9, 2007
Mary K. DePoy, 72, 302 Lane St., North Judson, died March 9, at Community Hospital in Bremen. She was born Dec. 16, 1934, in Winamac, to Harve and Hazel (Quilot) Zellers.
On Oct. 16, 1954 in Ohio, she married Herbert F. DePoy, Sr. He survives.
Mary retired from Little Company of Mary in San Pierre, and volunteered at Our Lady of Holy Cross since retirement. She was a member of the LaPorte Chapter of Order of Easter Star. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 92 of North Judson.
Survivors included her husband, Herbert F. DePoy, Sr.; two daughters: Hazel [Jimmey] White of North Judson and Meda [John] Lindley of Knoxville, Tenn.; two sons: Herbert F. [Kathy] DePoy, Jr. of New Braunfels, Texas and William [Linda] DePoy of Winamac; thirteen grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; one sister; and one grandson, Karl DePoy.
Funeral services were held at O'Donnell Funeral Home, Inc. in North Judson on March 12, with Rev. William Spranger of All Saints Catholic Church officiating. Interment took place at the Hoosier Crematory.

Lloyd R. Baker
April 30, 1941 - March 18, 2007
Lloyd R. Baker, 65, 2842 S 100 E, Winamac, died March 18, at St Mary Medical Center in Hobart. He was born April 30, 1941, in Washington, Pa., the son of Lloyd and Mazie (Colbert) Baker.
On Nov. 9, 1963, in Marianna, Pa., he married Linda L. (Barber) Baker. She survives.
Lloyd was a lifetime member of the Logansport VFW. He was also a member of the EAA, the American Modelers Association, and the Winamac Aero Modelers Association. Lloyd enjoyed flying RC airplanes, and was an avid collector. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family, grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Cee-Cee. Lloyd had worked at Tudor & Yager Inc., in Tipton, for eleven years. He moved to Winamac in 1971. He worked for Galbreath Inc. in Winamac and Wilson Foods in Logansport for twenty years, retiring from there in 1992.
Survivors include his wife, Linda L. (Barber) Baker of Winamac; one daughter, Heather L. [Eric] Hulmes of Winamac; one son Wade A [Kendra Hunt-fiancee] Baker of Lucerne; three grandsons: Shane Hulmes, Tanner Hulmes, and Luke Baker; three granddaughters: Alexis J. Baker, Sophia Baker, and Izabella Baker; one sister, Joann [Harley 'Red' Watson - companion] Markoff of Marianna, Pa.; one brother, Fred Baker of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Robin Dean Baker; his parents: Lloyd and Mazie (Colbert) Baker; and one brother, Milford Stauffer.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, March 21, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. Funeral services also will be held at Frain Mortuary on Thursday, March 22, at 1 p.m. EDT, with Rev. Edward Clark officiating. Burial will take place in the McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Winamac, with the VFW and the American Legion conducting military graveside services.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
