Debra Marie Hopkins, 49, of 7194 N US Hwy 421, San Pierre, IN, passed away at 6:40 PM Friday, December 29, 2006 in her residence.
She was born April 29, 1957, in Valparaiso, IN, to Hargis and Eliza Harris Hopkins Jr.
She lived in the Francesville area most of her life.
She enjoyed spending time with her children and - Grandchildren.
She also enjoyed gardening, shopping, collecting music boxes and listening to music while cleaning the house.
She was formerly the Deli Manager at the IGA Store in Francesville.
In recent years, she enjoyed spending time with her companion Marty Wireman.
She was a very strong willed woman and was willing to work hard to achieve her goals.

William Sherman Kellems, 79, of 2386 East Pulaski Street, Star City, IN, passed away Friday morning, December 22, 2006 at his residence.
He was born July 5, 1927, in Tell City, IN to Sherman and Elsie Kellems. He married Tessie J. Rose on September 29, 1969 in Logansport, IN. She died September 24, 2004.
Bill was retired from Schmicker's Ready Mix in Winamac, IN. He has been a resident of Pulaski County for most of his life. Bill loved fishing and spending time out of doors. He enjoyed spending time with his friends.

Leah M. Speicher, 54, of 1202 S 1425 W, Medaryville, IN, passed away at 11:16 AM Friday, December 22, 2006 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart, IN.
She was born March 5, 1952, in Lafayette, IN, to John P. and Josephine A. Horney Speicher.
She was a former resident of Miami, FL.
She was a graduate of Francesville High School, and St. Joseph College, Rensselaer, IN.
She had been an elementary school teacher in Miami, FL.
Music was a very important part of her life.

Pearl L. Becker, 81, of 8480 W SR 14, Winamac, IN, passed away at 10:29 AM Monday, December 18, 2006 at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac, IN.
She was born May 25, 1925, in Chicago, IL, to Sam and Theresa Nierzwicki Knebel. She married Richard F. Becker on December 31, 1955 in Winamac, IN. Richard died January 3, 1989.
She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, and the Christian - Mother's, of Winamac.
She enjoyed mowing the yard and taking care for her flowers.
She also enjoyed playing cards at the Winamac Moose.
She liked helping her son on the farm and tending to the livestock.

Harold H. Risner, 74, of 0989 North 500 West, LaPorte, IN, passed away at 3:45 AM Friday, December 15, 2006 at his residence.
He was born March 27, 1932, in North Judson, IN, to Huston and Lewie Marshall Risner. He married Opaline Bailey on November 12, 1952 in Winamac, IN. Opaline urvives.
Harold attended the New Life Penracostal Church in Hamlet, IN. He enjoyed horse back riding, camping, fishing and traveling. Harold also enjoyed photography. He had worked as a welder and painter for Pulman Standard Company and for Monon Trailer Company. He was a former Medaryville, IN resident.

ANDREW VANDERAA JR.
December 8, 2006
Andrew VanDeraa Jr., 88, of 515 East 13th Street, Winamac, IN, passed away at 8:45 AM Friday, December 8, 2006 at Hickory Creek @ Winamac in Winamac, IN.
He was born September 10, 1918, in Lansing, IL, to Andrew and Anne Van Heist VanDeraa. He married Retha (Porter) VanDeraa on August 30, 1940 in Glenwood, IL. Retha survives.
He was a member of the Bethel Bible Church, Winamac.
He moved to Winamac in 1994, coming from Highland, IN, where he had lived most of his life.
He was retired from Union Carbide in Whiting, IN. He also was a former custodian and school bus driver for the Highland School System, Highland, IN.
He enjoyed reading and piddling around the house.
He served in the US Army during WWII and was awarded a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He was wounded while fighting in Germany in March of 1945.

She was born June 5, 1919, in Pulaski County, IN, to Albert and Ethel Elsie Daily Conn. She married Kenneth L. Brown on January 27, 1952. Kenneth died April 15, 2006.
