Rosemary Heater, a native of Ridgeville, Indiana born on April 25, 1914 and a resident of Daphne, Alabama the past 16 years went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on February 19, 2008 at Thomas Hospital at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Lewis Heater of Winamac, Indiana; her son, Richard Lee Heater of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and her sister Eileen MacBeth of Muncie, Indiana, as well as her beloved pet dog, Thumper. Rosemary is survived by her loving and devoted family

Vic (Judy) Heater of Winamac,IN Carolyn (John) O’Donnell Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Laura (Joe) Bucinski Winamac, Indiana
Rebecca (Matt) Kopka Winamac, Indiana She has 19 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly, ranging in age from 23 to 2 years of age.

Prior to moving to Daphne, Rosemary was a retired school teacher, community volunteer in Winamac and enjoyed reading books, visiting with friends, playing golf, painting and various crafts. She was active with the Genealogy Society and attended the Methodist Church in Winamac. She traveled all over Europe with her daughter, Barbara and enjoyed spending many vacation times with her family. Once she moved to Daphne to live with her daughter, her activities included a rousing game of Dominos with anybody who would be brave enough to play her, as well as an avid reader, constant visitor to the Daphne City Library and never missed an episode of Wheel of Fortune. She became a member of the Red Hat Society, joining on her 90th birthday. Rosemary was well loved and tended by the devoted nurses at Beverly Living Center the past several months, as well as the caring staff at Thomas Hospital, especially Dr. Grant Brummett, who has been her physician for the past 16 years, along with his wonderful Nurse Dru Farley and his caring office staff at Eastern Shore Family Practice. Rosemary was an active member of Liberty Church in Fairhope, where she participated in Bible Study as well as Sunday services. She has many Christian friends there who loved her dearly and visited with her often.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 2:00 PM EST at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, Indiana. James W. Cotton, Rosemary’s son-in-law, will preside over the ceremony. Friends may call one hour prior to services at Frain Mortuary.

Because of her appreciation and devotion towards the Shriner’s Hospital and their assistance helping physically challenged children, including her own son and great-granddaughter through the years, donations may be made to Abba Temple Shrine, Transportation Unit, 7701 Hitt Road, Mobile, AL 36695, in memory of Mrs. Heater.

DANIEL CLYDE CLARK JR.

SERVICE: 11 AM EST MONDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2008

Daniel Clyde Clark Jr., 91, of 628 N. Hathaway, Winamac, IN, formerly of Rensselaer, IN., passed away at 1:50 AM Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac, IN.

He was born June 26, 1916, in Morocco, IN, to Daniel and Julia Gilmore Clark.
He married Audrey L. Smith on Nov. 16, 1946, in Wolcott, IN. She survives.

He graduated from Monon High School in 1934.

He served in the US Army 82nd Airborne Div. 325th Glider Infantry Regiment during World War Two. He served his country in six battles including Sicily, Italy, Normandy, Holland, Belgium, and Germany.

He loved farming and retired at age 83.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved the Lord and unselfishly served others. He was highly respected by those who knew him well and set a Godly example for all. He will be sorely missed until we are reunited in Heaven.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM EST Monday, February 25, 2008, in Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Francesville, with Dr. James Gabhart officiating.

Burial will take place in the Osborne Cemetery located at Rensselaer, IN

Friends may call 2-6 PM EST Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel,Francesville.
Memorial Contributions may be given to Connecting Hearts Ministry, providing food for hungry children.

Military graveside services will be conducted.

NORMA ZOE COBLE

Norma Zoe Coble, 81, of 2711 South 50 East, Winamac, IN, passed away at 11:30 PM Monday, February 18, 2008 at Pulaski Health Care Center in Winamac, IN.

Norma Carnahan Coble, youngest of 5 children, was born July 21, 1926 to Clarence Bud Carnahan and Teresa Eaglehoff Carnahan in Clinton County, Ohio.
Norma was a 1944 graduate of the Buffalo Community School.
Norma enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards, working with her violets and especially fishing with her husband. Norma enjoyed raising flowers and working in her flower beds. She married William David Coble on March 3, 1945 at her parents home in Buffalo, Indiana. William preceeded her in death July 17, 2004.
She is past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star, member of the First Christian Church of Winamac, and was the Office Manager for 27 years for Dr. William Thompson & Dr. Carneal. She was a former employee of a factory in Monticello, IN during WW2. Norma was a homemaker and sold clothes at home sales parties. She was a former bookkeeper at Marsh Accounting in Winamac.

Eugene E. Haschel, 67, of 4893 North Royal Center Pike, Royal Center, IN, passed away at 3:05 AM Friday, February 15, 2008 at Hickory Creek @ Winamac in Winamac, IN.

He was born March 21, 1940, in Winamac, IN, to Clayton and Viola Hickman Haschel. Gene married Karen K. Lange on June 26, 1965 in Winamac, IN. She survives.

He was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Winamac, IN. Gene enjoyed farming, mowing, gardening and fishing and tinkering in his work shop. He enjoyed time spent with his family, especially fishing trips to Minnesota. Gene also enjoyed watching sports on TV. Gene's favorite TV program was The Lone Ranger. He worked as a maintenance man for Wilson/Tyson Foods for over 35 years. He was a 1958 graduate of Winamac High School. Gene served in the US Navy from 1958-1962.

The American Legion and VFW will conduct military graveside services.

Beulah E. Strong Keyes, 94, of 801 N. Monticello St., Winamac, IN, passed away at 8:30 AM Thursday, February 14, 2008 at her residence.

She was born August 22, 1913, in Walnut Prairie, IL, to Reuben and Effie Sheets Dancey.

She was married to Paul Strong on July 11, 1933, in Winamac. He died May 30, 1976. She then married Harold Keyes in 1980. He died in 1983.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, and Order of Eastern Star #96, both of Winamac.

She had been employed at Miller's Ladies Store for several years.
