Joseph Stanley Marszalik Jr., 75, of 1638 East 100 North, Winamac, IN, passed away at 1:00 AM Friday, June 20, 2008 at his residence in Winamac, IN.

He was born January 8, 1933, in Chicago, IL, to Joseph and Tekla Mucha Marszalik Sr. He married Sally Czyzyk on October 29, 1955 in Chicago, IL. Sally survives.

Joe was retired from the trucking business in Chicago, IL. He moved to Winamac in 1960 and began farming.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM EDT Tuesday, June 24, 2008, in St. Peter's Catholic Church, Winamac, with Rev. Martin Sandhage officiating.

Burial will take place in the St. Peter's Cemetery located at Winamac, IN

Friends may call 4-8 PM EDT Monday, June 23, 2008 at Frain Mortuary.
A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 5 PM EDT on Monday at Frain Mortuary

Frances Leona Leman, 88, of 1 West Violet Drive, Francesville, IN, passed away at 10:05 PM Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Jasper County Hospital in Rensselaer, IN.

She was born December 20, 1919, in Metamora, IL, to Henry and Cordelia Gudeman Leman.

She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, and was a Sunday School Teacher 42 years at the church.

She was empolyed by Parkview Haven Retirement Home for 22 years.

She lived in Francesville most of her life.

Emma Mildred Nielsen, 85, of 12098 West State Road 14, Medaryville, IN, passed away at 8:15 PM Monday, June 16, 2008 at Hickory Creek @ Winamac in Winamac, IN.

She was born April 1, 1923, in Medaryville, IN, to Charley J. and Emma E.M. Sonnenberg Shedrow.

Emma married Edward Rasmus Nielsen on Dec. 23, 1945, at the St. John United Church of Christ, Medaryville, IN. Edward died on Dec. 19, 2005.

She lived her entire life in the Medaryville area, with the exception of two years during WWII.

She was a 1941 graduate of Medaryville High School. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Medaryville, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent, and an officer in the Ladies Aide for a number of years.

She also was a volunteer for the Pulaski County Mental Health Association. In her earlier years, she was a member of the Aim-Hi Home Economic Club.

She was the Grand Marshall of the Medaryville Potato Fest Parade in 2006 and was a volunteer with the Medaryville Community Potato Festival.

Emma was a homemaker, farm wife, and former claims clerk with Railway Express Co. in Chicago.

She enjoyed arrowhead hunting, antiques, reading, and watching TV. She loved traveling and spectating at her children's and grandchildren's athletic events.

Evelyn Mae Pelsy, 83, of 18 Violet Street, Francesville, IN, passed away at 11:15 AM Thursday, June 5, 2008 at her residence.

She was born February 5, 1925, in Medaryville, IN, to Frank and Alma Strantz Lizenby.

Evelyn married Vernon Pelsy on July 29, 1945 in Medaryville, IN. She lived in Francesville, IN for 63 years since her marriage to Vernon. Evelyn was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Francesville, IN. She is a former homemaker and beautician. Evelyn enjoyed her church and friends, neighbors, neighbor's children and grandchildren. She was a 1942 graduate of Medaryville High School.

She was born December 31, 1928, in Rensselaer, IN, to Willard and Golden Wolf Tanner.

Shirley married John E. Ringen on Nov. 11, 1946, in Francesville, IN. John survives.

She was a member of the Global Harvest Church, Monterey, and a former member of the Monterey United Methodist Church and the WSCS of the church, and the Grace Community Church, Winamac. She was the retired office manager of Ringen Tractor Repair. She was a former employee of Miller's Department Store and Winamac Floral, Winamac, the Shirt Shed, Culver, and Bauer's Store, Monterey.

She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, farming, and being outdoors.
