Frances W. Blanken, 79, Batesville

Frances W. Blanken, 79, Batesville, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004 at her residence. Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery in Napoleon with military graveside rites. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Lana Jo Priddy, 46, West Indiana

Lana Jo Priddy, 46, West Indiana, died at 7:15 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2004 at her residence. Funeral service is at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home, Inc. in Columbus. Burial will follow in Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday and from noon until the time of service on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Isabella “Isie” Reddish, 66, Rushville

Isabella “Isie” Reddish, 66, Rushville, died at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2004 at her residence.

Born Aug. 22, 1937 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of George White and Nina Reed. She married James Reddish on Dec. 31, 1956 and he survives.

A beautician, she lived in Rush County most of her life. She graduated from Greencastle High School in 1956 and from Artistic Beauty College in Shelbyville. She worked at Schnadig Corp. for 17 years and then worked through the home base program for Gecom (of Greensburg) and was also a beautician in her own home shop. She was also a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Lisa Hunger (fiancé Mark Hackler) of Rushville, Kimberly (Phillip) Gerrian of Milroy and Lori (Darryl) Kuhn of Arlington; a brother, John White of York, SC; a sister, Kay Vance of Greencastle and seven grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Delbert, and two sisters, Eileen and Rosanna.

Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville with Rev. Charles Aigner officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington East Hill Cemetery in Arlington. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Decatur County and the St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Marie “Boone” Scheidler, 94, Greensburg

Marie “Boone” Scheidler, 94, Greensburg, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 13, 1909 in Howard County, she was the daughter of Daniel Everett Boone and Zella May Fee Boone. She married Carl R. Scheidler on Nov. 4, 1934. He preceded her in death on June 14, 1961.

She was retired after 30 years as secretary with Wickens & Wickens Attorney in 1984. She was also a member of St. Mary’s Church, St. Lawrence Auxillary for 50 years, Business Professional Women’s Association for 50 years and the American Legion Auxillary.

She is survived by a daughter, Judith Ann Metcalf of Arlington, VA; a brother, Bill Boone of Greensburg and two grandchildren, Cindy and Mark (Ann) Doles.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and three sisters, Catherine Schwendenmann, Bernice Mozingo and Bonnie Clark.

Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Church in Greensburg with Rev. Harold Knueven officiating. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Greens-burg. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Church or the donor’s choice.

Kiyoko S. Wade, 62, Batesville

Kiyoko S. Wade, 62, Batesville, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2004 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Margaret Mary Hospital Hospice.

Bart K. Whittaker, 43, Falmouth

Bart K. Whittaker, 43, Falmouth, died at 5:25 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004 at his residence. Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville. Burial will follow in East Hill Cemetery in Rushville. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Edgar Scott, 82, of Greensburg

Edgar Scott, 82, of Greensburg, died Jan. 8, 2004 in Greensburg. He was born on Nov. 23, 1921, in Garrett, Ky., the son of Willy and Kate (Hoover) Scott. He worked at Indianapolis Chrysler.

Terry Lee Smyser, 58, of Indianapolis

Terry Lee Smyser, 58, of Indianapolis, died Friday, January 9, 2003 in Indianapolis. He was born on July 7, 1945, In Greensburg. He was a system analyst for Fleet Service, city of Indianapolis.

Robert L. Weissenberger, 83, Shelbyville

Robert L. Weissenberger, 83, Shelbyville, died Jan. 1, 2004 in the Heritage House Nursing Home, Shelbyville. He was born Feb. 8, 1920, in Indianapolis, the son of Frank and Pearl (McKinley) Weissenberger.

Carol Ann Powers, 64, Batesville

Carol Ann Powers, 64, Batesville, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004. Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville. Cremation will follow after service.

Robert E. Dwenger, 74

Robert E. Dwenger, 74 of Westport, Ind. passed away on April 3, 2006 at the Hospice Center in Columbus, Ind. There will be no funeral services.

Frances J. Robbins, 93

Frances J. Robbins, 93, of Westport, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2006, at Columbus Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Visitation will be Tuesday, from 4-8 p.m. at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with an Eastern Star Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Bear Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Estes officiating. Interment will be at Bear Creek Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bear Creek Baptist Church through the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home.

Richard Harry Flodder, 89

Richard Harry Flodder, 89, of Batesville, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at his home on the farm where he was born.

He was born on September 22, 1916, in Batesville, to parents Edward and Henrietta (Wachsman) Flodder.

He was a retired lifelong farmer. His memberships included St. John United Church of Christ, where he was a choir member, Rush County Pioneer Club, Batesville Lodge 668 F & AM. He was also a former 4-H leader.

He was married to Ruth Leuchtenburg on February 5, 1941, at St. Paul Church, Crossroads. She predeceased him on August 23, 2001.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Arthur and Frederich Flodder; five sisters, Erna Paul, Alma Flodder, Elvena Narwold, Stella Wernke and Gertrude Bohman; one grandson.

Surviving him are son Jerry Flodder, Columbus; three daughters, Joan Westerfeld and Carol Dial, both of Batesville, and Phillis Hoy of Ft. Myers, Florida; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday at St. John United Church of Christ in Batesville from 4-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. Rev. David Johnston will be officiating. Burial will be at St. John Church Cemetery in Huntersville.

In place of flowers, memorials may be made to the restoration of the Huntersville School House (St. John Youth Center).

Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville is entrusted with arrangements.

Ruth Maple, 67

Ruth Maple, 67 of Rushville, Ind. passed away on April 2, 2006 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind.

She was born on June 11, 1938 in Greensburg, Ind. to Roy Edmondson and Hazel Dell Friend.

She was married to Billy W. Maple and was employed as a housewife and was also involved with the Rushville VFW.

She is survived by her Husband, Bill W. Maple of Rushville, Ind.; one Son, Billybob Maple of Rushville, Ind.; two Daughters, Mindy J. Glover of Rushville, Ind. and Vickie E. Hankins of Connersville, Ind.; one Brother, Eugene Edmondson of North Vernon, Ind. and three Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both parents, two Brothers and three Sisters.

Visitation services will be on Tuesday, April 4 from 4-8 at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville, Ind.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 5 at 10 a.m. at Moster & Cox Mortuary with Pastor Phil Mitchell officiating. Burial will take place following funeral services in the East Brook Cemetery in Milroy. Informant will be Vickie E. Hankins of Connersville, Ind.

Arrangements are by Moster & Cox Mortuary of Rushville, Ind.
