She was born in Decatur, the daughter of Jack and Rosa Friedt. Survivors include a son, Ron Nicodemus, of Fort Wayne; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; a brother, Kenneth Friedt of [cut off] Benjamin M. Shackley Thursday, 11 September 2008 Benjamin M. Shackley, 26, Spartanburg, South Carolina, died of cancer in Spartanburg on Tuesday. He was born in Decatur on November 21, 1981, to Daniel and Linda Shackley. Among survivors are three brothers. Dalton E. Jones Thursday, 11 September 2008 Dalton E. Jones, 68, rural Decatur, died Tuesday at home after a short illness. He was born on November 20, 1939, in Martin County, Indiana, to Esco V. and Alta M. Albright Jones. Among survivors are his wife, Mary; one son; and three daughters. Larry A. Krick Thursday, 11 September 2008 Larry A. Krick, 62, of Decatur, died on Tuesday at Visiting Nurses and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. He was born February 4, 1946, in Adams County to George W. and Ilene Krick. Survivors include one son, Brandon Krick of Decatur; one stepbrother, Roger L. Krick of Decatur; and one stepsister, Helen [cut off] Melinda E.T. Wickey Thursday, 11 September 2008 Melinda E.T. Wickey, 31, of rural Decatur, died on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, in Adams Memorial Hospital's emergency room. She was born on December 9, 1976, in Adams County to Enos A. & Emma E. (Troyer) Schwartz, who live in rural Monroe. Janalee K. Spiegel Thursday, 11 September 2008 Janalee K. Spiegel, 52, of Sebring, Florida, died on Monday in Muncie, Indiana. She was born in Decatur to Dr. O.A. and Gloa Spiegel, who now reside in Sebring. Gertrude Bittner Thursday, 11 September 2008 Gertrude Bittner 93, of Decatur, passed away at 7:15 a.m., Wednesday September 10, 2008, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born on December 3, 1914, in Adams County to the late Rudolph and Bertha (Bultemeier) Buuck. Harry I. Mauller Monday, 06 October 2008 Harry I. Mauller, 88 years old, of Decatur, passed away at 3:45 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2008, in the nursing center at Woodcrest Retirement Community. Lorraine Jeanette Burkhalter, 91, born in Berne, Indiana, on January 26, 1917, to Menno and Sarah Gilliom Burkhalter, and fifth of six children, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2008, in Berne. Bridgette C. Everett Friday, 05 December 2008 Bridgette C. (Rousseau) Everett, 51, of Akeley, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly at her home on November 30, 2008. Bridgette Collette Everett was born August 25, 1957 in Decatur to Joseph H. and Mary Elizabeth (Schultz) Rousseau. She grew up and attended school in Decatur, graduating from Bellmont High School in 1976. Following high school, she [cut off] Mr. John Patrick Kelley March 25, 1961 - April 14, 2003 Former Decatur resident passes away John "Pat" Kelley, age 42, passed away on April 14, 2003 at the Regency Place of Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on March 25, 1961, the son of John T. & Karlann (Striker). They are deceased. He is survived by a daughter Amanda Kelley of Fort Pierce, Florida, an aunt, uncle and several cousins in the Decatur area. He was a truck driver. Funeral Information Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6-8pm with funeral services on Friday at 10:00am at the Haggard & Sefton Funeral Home, Decatur, IN Rev. Brian Wikoff will be officiating. "Chuck" McCullough passed away July 22, 2003. Chuck McCullough, 55, passed away last Tuesday in his Decatur residence. He was born February 3, 1948 to Nimrod and Edith (Place) McCullough of Adams County, Indiana. He married Diana L. (Roudebush) on September 2, 1967. Mr. McCullough was Co-Owner of Indiana Arms Incorporated with his son, Jeff. He also worked for 20 years at General Electric and worked for Global Tool and Automation of Ft. Wayne, In. He was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church of Monroe, Indiana where he served on the Christian Homemakers Sunday School Class and several boards including Pastor Parish and the Administrative Board. He also was a former member of the Sheriffs' Reserve. Chuck was survived by his wife, Diana McCullough, Decatur, IN; His stepmother, Helena McCullough, Decatur, IN; 1 son, Jeff McCullough, Decatur, IN; 1 Daughter, Mrs. Mike (Cheri) Hill, Decatur, IN; 2 Brothers, Gerald McCullough, Geneva, IN and Richard McCullough, Rockford, OH; 2 Sisters; Sally Chapman, Monroe, IN and Susan Norton, Decatur, IN; and 7 Grandchildren. Mrs. Maxine Ford of Decatur, Indiana, passed away Sunday at the Adams County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Blackford County, Indiana to Orlando and Hazel (Clapper) Sipe on June 15, 1915. She later married Lester Ford on May 30, 1935. (Lester passed away July 1, 2003.) Maxine was a retired Program Assistant at the Adams County Agriculture Stabilization Service. She was a member of the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and the Women of St. Mary's in Decatur. She is survived by 2 Sons, Ronald W. Ford, Spring Lake, Michigan and Daniel J. Ford of La Porte, Indiana; 1 Daughter, Mrs. Ted (Leola Ann) Moser, Waynesville, Ohio; 13 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Grandchildren. She was born to William E. and Mary C. (Appelman) Faurote in Adams County, IN on August 14, 1910. She married Bernard T. Lengerich on June 6th, 1939. Mr. Lengerich preceeded Helen in death in 1955. Helen was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. She also was a member of the Rosary Society and the Jolly Housewifes of St. Mary Catholic Church. She is survived by 2 sons, Paul B. Lengerich (and his wife Jane) of Decatur, and Donald L. Lengerich (and his wife Carol) of Decatur, IN; 1 Daughter, Mrs. Robert (Jane E.)
