Helen Wilson (The Walking Lady), 73, died at Miller?s Merry Manor, Huntington, Indiana on August 19, 2005 (5:50 PM).
Mrs. Wilson was born October 6, 1931 in Bluffton, Indiana to Arthur and Minnie Jackson Clark.
Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker. She married Wallace Wilson on October 3, 1955. He preceded her in death June 10, 1988. Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker. She was a member and Honorary Greeter of the Christian Life Tabernacle and a member of the Golden Girls, both in Huntington, IN.

Survivors include: One son, Jeffrey Wilson, Huntington, IN. 3 Sisters: Nina McGinnis, Fort Wayne, IN; Susan Stoner, Woodburn, IN and Wanda.
5 Grandchildren and 5 Great-grandchildren.
Preceded her in death: 2 Brothers: Herald Clark and Chester Clark and 1 sister, Hazel Clark Sell.
Calling will be on Monday, August 22, 2005 from 5 until 8 PM and Tuesday from 9 to 11 AM prior to the funeral service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home. Pastor Jon Willis will officiate.
Memorials to the Christian Life Tabernacle Building Fund.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Gerald T. Buzzard
Gerald T. Buzzard, 87, of Andrews, IN, died at 1:15 PM on August 14, 2005 at Miller?s Merry Manor, Huntington.
Mr. Buzzard was born June 20, 1918 to Virgil and Lillian Taylor Buzzard. His parents preceded him in death.
He graduated in 1936 from Huntington Township High School. He married Barbara J. Ehinger Buzzard on April 19, 1994. She survives in Andrews.
Mr. Buzzard served in WW II in the Navy Armed Guard. He was last employed at Zahm Excavating, Huntington. He was a member of VFW Post 2689, Huntington, American Legion Post 0248 in Lagro and Eagles Aerie #549 in Wabash. He was an avid coon hunter for many years.
Survivors include: 1 son: 1 Stepson: Joseph Ehinger, Bloomington, IN.1 Daughter: 5 Step-daughters: Mrs. Troy (Ann) Cozad, Ft. Wayne, IN., Mrs. Conor (Sara) O?Brien, Dillon, CO., Mrs. Ralph (Jane) Johnson, Ft. Wayne, IN., Eileen Ehinger, Dillon, CO. and Lois Ehinger, Ft. Wayne, IN. 1 sister, 4 Grandchildren and 1 step grandchild. 7 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by: 1 brother: Gordon Buzzard.

Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Joan Herrick, 56, Huntington, died 11:31 AM, Sunday, August 7, 2005 at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Mrs. Herrick was born on March 20, 1949 in Kentucky to Junior and Ann Mullins Johnson. Her parents preceded her in death.
Mrs. Herrick married Arnold Herrick in October 1966. He survives and lives in Huntington. Mrs. Herrick was a homemaker.
Survivors include: 3 Sons: Todd Herrick, Huntington, Lucan Herrick, Huntington, and Seth Herrick, Huntington. 2 Stepdaughters: Jackie Lance, Columbia City, and Tammy Capozza, Huntington. 1 Brother: Bill Johnson, Illinois and 1 sister: Brenda Williams, Huntington. 12 Grandchildren.

Calling will be on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 from 4 PM and 7 PM, with funeral service at 7 PM at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St, Huntington, IN.

Amanda K. Allen
Amanda K. Allen, 45, Huntington, died 12:00 AM, August 6, 2005 at her home.
Ms. Allen was born on December 16, 1959 to Robert and Carolyn Kimmel Allen. Her parents survive and live in Huntington.
Ms. Allen graduated from Huntington North High School in 1978. She graduated from Huntington College where she earned a History Degree. She worked at Huntington City Library in the Indiana Room. She was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, IN. She was a 25-year member of Sigma Phi Gamma, Huntington.

Survivors include: Parents: 1 brother: David L.(Kelli)Allen, Huntington. 2 sisters: Mrs. Kevin (Barbara) Rupley, Huntington and Janice Smith Walls, Ashland, KY.

Calling will be on Tuesday, August 9, 2005 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 pm at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, with Rosary Services at 6 PM. Sigma Phi Gamma Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 PM, Tuesday.
Funeral mass will be at on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at 10 am at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, IN. with Father John Guimond presiding.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.

Majorie M. Walker
Marjorie Walker, 88,Huntington, IN, died on Thursday, August 4, 2005 (5:51 PM) at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Mrs. Walker was born November 28, 1916 in Huntington, IN. to Walter and Flora Rupley Reckard. Her parents preceded her in death.
Mrs. Walker graduated from Huntington Township in 1936, where she was a member of the band and basketball team. She married Charles Jackson Walker on November 12, 1937. He preceded her on death on October 9, 1985.She was employed at Schacts Rubber Company from 1936- 1940; she worked Asbestos for years. She was a Parcel Post Clerk at Our Sunday Visitor for 18 years when she retired in 1972. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Rosary Sodality, Harvest House, Senior Center and she was the leader of the Senior Rhythm Band.
Survivors include: 1 daughter: Mrs. Thomas (Barbara Sue Walker) Eisenhauer, Huntington, IN. 1 son: Gene Allen Walker, Huntington, IN. 1 sister: Beatrice (Jester) Wampler, North Manchester, IN; 1 brother: Dean Reckard, Huntington, IN.8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
Deceased 1 brother, Meredith Reckard.

Emily Jean Newcomb
Emily Jean Newcomb, 82, former resident of Huntington, died on Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at her residence in Green Valley, AZ.
Ms. Newcomb was born December 27, 1922 in IN. to Dean Berry and Cecilia C. Garner Newcomb. Her parents preceded her in death.
Ms. Newcomb graduated from Huntington High School in 1940. She was employed by the Majestic Company in Huntington, IN. from 1940-48 at which time she moved to Chicago and was employed by Callaghan & Co. (Legal publishing co.) from 1948-1984. She served as Corporate Treasurer/Secretary and Administrative Assistant to the President. During her employment she also served as President of John Byrne & Co. a subsidiary company located in Hyattsville, Maryland.

She was a member of the Valley Presbyterian Church in Green Valley, AZ. member of Green Valley Elks Lodge 2592 and a member of Skokie Order of Eastern Star in Skokie, IL. During her career she was active in the Business and Professional Women’s Club, Building Officers Management A1so. and the Risk Insurance Managers. While living in Glenview she was a volunteer at Life source and a volunteer at Friend’s In Deed.

Survivors include: Four nephews: Charles Newcomb, Carlsbad, CA.; William Newcomb, Syracuse, IN.; Dean Ed Newcomb, San Bernardino, CA.; and Barry Nicholl, Auckland, New Zealand.

Deceased: One Sister: Helen Newcomb Clayton - One Brother: Charles Robert Newcomb.

Graveside Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, on August 6, 2005 at Mount Hope Cemetery, Huntington, IN. with

Sr. Marie Celine Ernst OLVM, Sr.
Marie Celine, OLVM, 89, a resident of Victory Noll, Huntington, IN. died Sunday, July 31, 2005 (11:17 AM), at Holy Family Health Care Center.
Sister Marie was born August 28, 1915 in Milwaukee, WI to John and Ida Ronge Ernst. Her parents preceded her in death.
Sister Celine entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on October 28, 1948 and made first Vows on August 5, 1951.??? She served in the missions of the Congregation in California (Monterey, Los Banos, Los Angeles and San Pedro) and in East Carbon City, Utah. She was the Coordinator of Victory Noll from 1980-83. She retired to the Holy Family Health Care Center in 1994.
Sister Marie Celine is survived by one sister, Betty Friedmann of Brookfield, WI and is preceded in death by one brother, John Ernst.
A vigil Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 2, 2005 with calling one hour prior to the service at the Victory Noll Chapel, 1900 W. Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana.

Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, August 3, 2005 with calling one hour prior to the Mass at the Victory Noll Chapel. Rev. Thomas Fahey will preside.
Burial will be at Victory Noll Cemetery.
McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Anna Mae Mills
Anna Mae Mills, 91, Warren, IN, died on Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 12:20 AM at her home.
Mrs. Mills was born on July 15, 1914 in Huntington IN toLeslie and BerthaKriegbauum Day. Her parents preceded her in death.
Mrs. Mills married John A. Mills on January 27, 1941. He preceded her in death on November 20, 1987.
Mrs. Mills was a homemaker. She was a member of Jefferson Center United Methodist Church, Warren, IN.

Survivors include: 2 Sons: John D. Mills, Huntington and Louie C. Mills, Huntington.
3 Daughters: Susie Gael, Ocala, FL., Letty Jo Ball, Orlando, Fl and Mary Jane Teirumniks, Camel, IN, and 1 sister: Leslie McDaniel, Warren, IN. 10 Grandchildren and 5 Great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Cyril Day and Gail Day.

at 9:27 PM at Wabash County Hospital, Wabash, IN.
Mr. Hedrick was born on August 28, 1952 in Huntington, IN to Jerald C. and Marjorie Wardwell Hedrick. His father preceded him in July 1999.
Mr. Hedrick married Pam Daugherty on February 17, 1998 in Marion, IN.

Mr. Hedrick retired from Dodson Paving in Marion. He was a member of Grant County Coon
Hunting Association and Eagles Club in Huntington. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing,
Playing pool and his Walker Coon Hounds.

Survivors include: 1 Son: Michael and Rosie Hedrick, Huntington. I Stepson: Robert and Annie Loftin Jr. Van Buren. 1 Stepdaughter: Mrs. Mike (Tracey) Barley, Ft. Wayne.
3 Sisters: Mrs. Danny (Sue) Rumple, Huntington, Mrs. Steve (Becky) Plummer, Leesburg, IN., and Mrs. Jeff (Lori) Ness, Ft. Wayne. Mother-in law: Ruth Elizabeth Daugherty, Upland.

John (Jack) E. Wright
John (Jack) E. Wright, 77, Huntington, IN. died July 24 2005 at 10:05 PM at Norwood Nursing Home, Huntington, IN.
Mr. Wright was born on August 19, 1927 in Huntington, IN to Paul and Ethel Swain Wright.
Mr. Wright graduated from Battle Creek Central, Battle Creek, Michigan in 1945.
He served in the Army in 1946 and 1947.
Mr. Wright first marriage was to Barbara Dillon. She preceded him in death. He married Mary L Weber on June 30, 1951at Methodist Church in Edgerton, Ohio. She survives and lives in Huntington.
Mr. Wright was a telephone repairman for 32 years for Indiana Bell Telephone, Huntington. He worked for Consumer Power Company, Battle Creek, Mi, Groff’s Excavating, Edgerton, Oh. He opened and ran the Sunoco Station at 322 Etna Ave, Huntington and owned a rural milk route.
Mr. Wright was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church, Huntington.
He a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
Survivors: His wife, Mary Wright, 2 Sons: Joseph and Susan E. Wright, Findlay, Ohio and Samuel L. Wright, Huntington. 1 daughter: Karleeen S. Wright, Huntington. 2 Brothers: L. R. Wright, Union City, MI., and Irving Wright, Battle Creek, MI. and 5 Grandchildren. Graham, Molly,Chloe, Ardan and Jackson Wright.
He was preceded in death by: 1 brother: David Wright.

Mr. Heasley married Hannah M. Morgan on September 17, 1931 in Akron, Ohio. She preceded him in death on January 25, 1997. .
Mr. Heasley was an Industrial Electrician at Ford Motor Company, where he retired.
Mr. Heasley was a member of Christ of King Episcopal Church, Huntington. He served on the vestry and warden at Avon Park Episcopal Church in Florida.

Survivors: 2 daughters: Margaret Peggy Foight, Oregonian, Ohio and Marilyn Lynn Corder, Jacksonville, FL. 1Son: Frederic T. Heasley, Huntington, IN.
12 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: 3 brothers: Paul Heasley, Robert Heasley and William Heasley and 1 sister: Mary Helen Wilkinson.

Calling hours will be Friday, July 29, 2005 from 5 to 8 PM at Christ of King Episcopal, 1224 N Jefferson St., Huntington. Eucharistic Mass will be on Saturday, July 30, 2005 at 10 am. with The Rev. Richard Miller.
