Mrs. Cox was born in Boone County, Indiana on June 5, 1916, the daughter of the late Charles E. and Ruby Mae (Brown) Johnson. Following her mother’s death she was raised by Mann and Lisie Routh. She was a graduate of Lebanon High School in 1935.

She married Charles R. Cox on January 30, 1941, in Indianapolis, Indiana. They lived in Kirklin for a short time and then moved to a farm in Marion Township, Boone County until 1949. Since 1949 they were residents on a farm west of Dover where they resided until the death of Mr. Cox in March of 1990.

Mrs. Cox worked prior to her marriage at Adler’s in Lebanon and for a period following her marriage at Reddish’s in Lebanon as a sales clerk.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. As long as her health permitted she enjoyed walking and playing bridge. For many years they spent the winters in Punta Gorda, Florida.

Memberships: She was a lifetime member of the Dover Christian Church at Dover, Indiana where she was active in the Ladies Aid. For many years she was a volunteer for the Boone County Mental Health Association and a long standing member of the Order of Eastern Star in Thorntown.

Funeral Services are to be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.
Visitation will be held at Myers Mortuary from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2007.
Interment will be at the Dover Cemetery in Dover.

Mrs. Cox was born in Lebanon, Boone County, Indiana on May 5, 1921, the daughter of the late James and Opal Mary (Shockley) Glendenning.

She was a life resident of Lebanon except for a couple of years she spent as a child in Indianapolis. She was a graduate of Lebanon High School in 1940.

She married Paul Robert Cox on November 9, 1940, in Lebanon, Indiana. Mr. Cox died on April 7, 1999.

She was employed for periods at Thorntown Textile, Commercial Filters Corporation, and Stewart-Warner Corporation. She last worked at Blue Luster Carpet Cleaning.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who enjoyed her family and her home.

Place of Death: At St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis, Indiana

Cause of Death: Natural Causes following a lengthy illness

Mr. Crawford was born in Marion Township, Boone County, Indiana, on June 17, 1925, the son of the late Chauncy Murch and Elizabeth (Bruckner) Crawford.

Mr. Crawford was reared in Marion Township and educated in Kirklin where he graduated from Kirklin High School in 1943. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany during World War II, 1944-1946.

He was married to Cecelia “Doodie” (DeMott) Crawford in Lebanon, Indiana on April 6, 1955. Mrs. Crawford survives.

He attended Purdue University where he was a letterman in Football. He graduated from Purdue with a Bachelor’s degree in physical education in 1950. He also received a Master’s degree and counseling endorsement from Purdue.

Mr. Crawford was a teacher, coach, and guidance counselor in the Lebanon School system. He taught in the Junior and Senior high schools. From 1950 thru 1963 he coached football at Lebanon High School where he compiled an admirable record.

In 1985 he was named to the Indiana Football Hall of Fame and in addition was named by Governor Robert Orr a Sagamore of the Wabash.

In addition to teaching, Mr. Crawford farmed part time until 1999.

Mr. Crawford was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. In addition to his family he enjoyed sports, and line dancing.

Mrs. Cross was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on July 27, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Henry Elliott and Easter Anna (Whiteley) Zimmerman.

Mrs. Cross was a life resident of Boone County, and attended Advance and Dover schools. She worked as a waitress at the Farm House Restaurant and at Shumate Business Forms in Lebanon and then worked 30 years at Federal Mogul, in Frankfort, retiring from there in January 1994.

She was married in Lebanon, Indiana to Joseph Eugene “Joe” Cross on June 21, 1952. Mr. Cross survives.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed her family and friends. She also enjoyed reading and yard work.

Mr. Cunningham was born in Boone County, Indiana, on August 23, 1918, the son of the late Jacob Rochester and Mary Ethel (Vidito) Cunningham.

Mr. Cunningham was life a resident of Boone County having been born on the same farm where his life came to an end. He was a 1936 graduate of Pinnell High School.

He served in the United States Navy during World War II.

He was married on January 27, 1939, in Clermont, Indiana, to Edna May (Batts) Cunningham. Mrs. Cunningham survives.

He was employed at Holiday Steel in Indianapolis and then at Ford Motor Company as general foreman from 1957 to 1963. He returned to farming full time in 1963 and retired in 1980.

Mr. Cunningham was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. In addition to his family, he enjoyed sports, and coaching Babe Ruth baseball, and the sports and activities of his grandchildren.

Memberships: Pittsboro United Methodist Church

American Legion in Advance where he served a combined nineteen years as Commander and Vice Commander.

She was married in Southport, Indiana on July 19, 1944, to Harvey Godfry Cunningham and he died January 3, 1980.

For a number of years she was employed as a billing and inventory clerk. She worked in Indianapolis at Federal Mogul and then at the NAPA Distribution Center until she retired in 1975.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and homemaker.
