Place of Death: At Homewood Health Campus in , Lebanon, Indiana

Cause of Death: Natural Causes following a lengthy illness

Mr. Handley was born in Ohio on January 12, 1949, the son of the late Thorman Ashton and Vera Helen (Merges) Handley.

Mr. Handley was reared in Lebanon where he was a 1968 graduate of Lebanon High School. He was a tool and die maker and machinist. In Indianapolis he was employed for twenty years at the C.T.P. Corporation until May 2004 when he retired due to his health.

Mr. Handley enjoyed his family and grandchildren. In addition he liked woodworking, camping, Indian Pow Wows, Indian culture and buck skinning.

Family graveside Interment Services will be held following cremation.

Visitation is planned for Friday, November 19, 2004, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.

Interment will be at Old Union Cemetery.

Two Daughters: Mrs. Stacy D. Hineman and husband, Harry - Indianapolis, IN

Ms. Brandi K. Handley - Lebanon, Indiana

One Sister: Mrs. Jo Anna Swift and husband, Howard - Colorado

Mrs. Jean Green Hardin

Name: Mrs. Jean Green Hardin Age: 80 Married

City of Residence: Lebanon, Indiana

Date of Death: Saturday, October 23, 2004, at 8:20 p.m.

Place of Death: Witham Memorial Hospital, Lebanon, Indiana

Cause of Death:

Born in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, on April 16, 1924, she was the daughter of Rev. Herman and Bessie Hagelstein.

She married Stewart Green in St. Catherines, Ontario, on June 15, 1946 who predeceased her. On August 11, 2001 she married Dr. Russell Hardin of Lebanon, Indiana, who survives.

Jean was raised and educated in Ontario, Canada and moved to Dusseldorf, Germany where she lived for several years. From Dusseldorf, they moved to Lewiston, New York. In 1970 they moved to Lebanon, Indiana.

Jean worked for 15 years at Stokes Elementary School. She was a member of the Ulen Country Club - Women’s Golf Association, PSI Iota XI, Tourist Club, Bicycle Club, Cooking Club and the Boone County Cancer Society. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lebanon where she served as an elder and deacon. She served on the Board of Directors for Senior Services. Jean was an avid bridge player.

In addition to her husband, Russell, she is survived by her brother Marshall Hagelstein of London, Ontario, daughters Mrs. Judy Brierley and husband Kyle, of Casselberry, Florida and Mrs. Susan Matiya and husband Jim, of Homer Glen, Illinois; stepson Eddy Hardin and wife Nancy, of Urbana, Ohio and stepdaughter Judy Brown and husband Ron of San Marcos, Texas and grandchildren Kara Hildebrandt and husband Michael, Kevin Brierley, Michael and Alissa Matiya, Brian Brown and wife Sharon, John and Paul Hardin.

Donations may be made to the Jean Green Hardin Memorial Scholarship at the Lebanon Educational Foundation, P.O. Box 47, Lebanon, Indiana, 46052.

Officiating: Dr. James Davis, Rev. Nancy Hardin and Rev. Thomas O’Brien

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana.

Visitation is planned for Tuesday, October 26, 2004, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Myers Chapel of Memories

Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana

MRS. MARTHA L. HALL

Name: Mrs. Martha Louise Hall Age: 91 Widowed

Date of death: Tuesday, February 17, 2004, at 6:00 a.m.

Place of death: At home unexpectedly

Cause of death: Natural causes

Mrs. Hall was born on April 16, 1912, in Lebanon, Indiana, the daughter of the late Reyburn C. and Daisy F. (Lawrence) Holmes.

She was married to Stanley Dee Hall in Lebanon, Indiana, on June 3, 1933. Mr. Hall died on April 23, 1998.

Mrs. Hall was a life resident of Boone County, Indiana and a 1930 graduate of Lebanon High School.

Mr. and Mrs. Hall owned and operated Stanley Hall Jewelers downtown Lebanon for many years.

A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she enjoyed her home, children and grandchildren. Mrs. Hall loved needlepoint and remembered her family with gifts she had made. For many years she and her husband had wintered in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

A Celebration of Life is planned for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2004, at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.

Her family will receive friends until 4:30 p.m. following the service on Sunday, February 22, 2004, at Myers Mortuary, Lebanon, Indiana.

Cremation is planned.

MR. ROBERT E. HALE

NAME: Mr. Robert Eugene Hale Age: 59 Married

Date of Death: Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at 10:30 a.m.

Place of Death: Witham Memorial Hospital E.R., Lebanon, Indiana

Cause of Death: Natural Causes

Mr. Hale was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on July 5, 1944, the son of the late Leonard Junior “Jr.” Hale and Alberta Pauline (Dickerson) Hale of Lebanon, Indiana.

He was married on November 25, 1961 in Lebanon, Indiana to Linda Sue (Virtue) Hale. Mrs. Hale survives.

Mr. Hale was a general manager for 21 years at Wood Wholesale in Lebanon. He then owned and operated Bob’s Tire in Lebanon for over 25 years and now is operated by his children.

He enjoyed camping, Nascar racing and avidly raced stock cars for 13 years at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Indiana. He won many events and ranked consistently in the top ten for their seasonal meets.

Mr. Hale was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends and grandchildren.

Officiating: Pastor Jack Stanley

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2004, at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Burial is planned at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.

Cause of Death: Natural causes following an extended illness

Mrs. Hale was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on September 11, 1928, the daughter of the late Calvin C. and Gladys (Nance) Dickerson.

She spent most of her life in Lebanon with the exception of the period, 1949-1966, which she spent in Berea, Kentucky.

She was married on March 19, 1944, in Lebanon, Indiana to Mr. Leonard Junior Hale. Mr. Hale died on October 16, 1964.

Mrs. Hale was employed in Berea, Kentucky, with Manning Maxwell and Moore, where she was a factory worker in the manufacture of gauges from 1964-1966. Following her return to Lebanon, Mrs. Hale was employed at Stewart-Warner Corporation for a period of twelve years. She was also a waitress at the Blue and White Café. She also worked at the Farm House Restaurant in Lebanon. She also worked as a dietary aide at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana, from May 16, 1983, until her retirement in 1995, due to her health.

Mrs. Hale was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed her family, basketball, football, camping, working, and stock car racing.

Memberships: She was a member of the former Walnut Street Baptist Church.

Officiating: Pastor Jack Stanley

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 17, 2004, at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 16, 2004, at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.
