Cause of Death: Natural Causes following a lengthy illness

Mrs. Morrow was born in Lafayette, Indiana on November 14, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Madolin (Williams) Fritz.

She was reared and educated in Lafayette and was a 1950 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. She resided in Barstow, California in 1953 and returned to Lafayette before she moved to Lebanon in 1956.

Mrs. Morrow was married in Lafayette, Indiana, on May 13, 1953, to Vincent Farrell Morrow, Sr. Mr. Morrow survives.

Mrs. Morrow was trained as a qualified medical assistant and practiced as a QMA at Parkwood Health Care Center in Lebanon until she retired in 1994.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Mrs. Morrow enjoyed her family and friends. She was interested in her family, gardening and art.

Visitation will be held at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2008.

Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.

Laura F. Morton

Laura F. Morton, a long-time resident of Boone County, died on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, following a brief illness at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon. Laura was 103 years old at the time of her death and enjoyed good health until recently. She was the last of a family of nine children and the daughter of Finis and Nellie Fouts.

She was married to Wendell P. Morton in May of 1929, and they were lifelong residents of Clinton Township.

Laura was most known for her cheerful, positive attitude and was always quick to make friends. A 1928 graduate, she was fiercely loyal to Purdue University. She was a lifetime member of the Presbyterian Church and the teachers’ association, as she taught for ten years at Whitestown High School and Lebanon Junior High School. She traveled extensively and enjoyed sharing her experiences with others.

She is survived by daughter, Nancy J. Boots, widow of Theodore B. Boots, of Indianapolis and son, Don F. Morton and wife Cheryl of Lebanon; grandchildren Gregory Boots and wife Wendy of Dallas, Texas, Jeani Boots Park of Austin, Texas, Robert Morton of Lebanon, Scott Morton and wife Angie of Lebanon, Matt Morton and wife Chrissy of Lebanon; and ten great grandchildren.

She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, Psi Iota Xi, Cooking Club, Boone County Retired Teachers Association, Ulen Country Club, past president of Homemakers, and a past director of the Witham Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees.

Rev. Marsha E. Brown will officiate for Funeral Services on Monday, June 2, 2008, at 11:00 a.m., at the First Presbyterian Church, 128 East Main Street, in Lebanon, Indiana where Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Entombment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Cancer Society.

Cause of Death: Natural Causes following an extended illness

Mr. Mossman was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on November 19, 1948. He was the son of the late Jack Mossman and Jean Evelyn (Ritchie) Mossman who survives.

He was a life resident of Lebanon where he graduated from Lebanon High School in 1968. He served in the United States Navy 1969-1971.

Mr. Mossman worked in several capacities including a free lance photographer for The Lebanon Reporter, a clerk at the Government Center in Indianapolis, and last in maintenance at the Golden Chassis in Brownsburg.

He was a son and brother and enjoyed his family. Mr. Mossman enjoyed movies and sports. He had a special interest in baseball as a fan and as a coach of Little League where he participated for several years.

John H. Mount, Jr.

1921-2003

Mr. Mount was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on January 12, 1921. He was the son of the late John Mount, Sr. and Mamie (Anderson) Mount.

Mr. Mount was a life resident of Lebanon and a 1939 graduate of Lebanon High School.

He was married to Wynona Jean (Horn) Mount in Lebanon, Indiana on June 10, 1945. She died on September 1, 1960. He was married in the First Baptist Church in Lebanon on February 14, 1963 to Mary M. (Staton) Mount who survives.

Mr. Mount worked at Stewart-Warner Corporation in Lebanon prior to entering the U.S. Marine Corps. He served during World War II in the South Pacific as a master sergeant. Following his discharge, he returned to Lebanon where he owned and operated Mount’s Flowers for forty years. He retired in 1985.

He enjoyed his family, gardening, reading and sports, particularly basketball. During retirement he had wintered in Florida.

Cause of Death: Unexpectedly of Natural Causes

Joan as she was fondly known was born in Lebanon, Indiana on April 7, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Ollie and Thelma Irene (Payne) Livingston.

She was married on October 16, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois to Donald K. Myers who died on May 17, 1970.

During her marriage she resided for many years in Harvey, Illinois where she worked at the First National Bank of Harvey. She was a vice-president and had a successful career from 1959 to retiring in 2001. She attended the Thornton Junior College and the American Institute of Banking in expanding her training in her career.

Mrs. Myers was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren. In addition she enjoyed reading, gardening, and animals having had several dogs over the years. She had been active in the Bryant P.T.A. and the

Opti-Mrs. Club of Harvey.

Funeral Services are to be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.

Cause of Death: Natural Causes

Mr. Myers was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 8, 1923. He was the son of the late Thomas Albert and Estella (Brewer) Myers.

He spent his early years in Knightstown, Indiana. He served in the United States Navy, 1942 through 1945, during World War II in the European and Asiatic-Pacific Theater and was awarded five bronze stars.

He was married in Danville, Indiana, in 1971, to Rena A. (Hapner) Myers. Mrs. Myers died in 2004. He was formerly married to Mary Myers and a companion to Geneva Woody.

Following service in the Navy, he returned to reside in Indianapolis where he was an employee of Ellis Trucking Company and Navaho Trucking. He then worked at ABF Freight Systems, Inc. until he retired on June 30, 1981. For twenty two years he worked at Wrecks, Inc. and retired there in 2004.

He resided in Brownsburg over thirty years and recently moved to Sheridan to reside with a daughter. Mr. Myers enjoyed his family and fishing.

Interment will follow military rites at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Boone County, Indiana.

V.F.W. Rites will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m.
