Mr. Myers was born in Lebanon , Indiana on December 13, 1950. He was the son of the late P. L. and Margaret L. (Sigmon) Myers.

He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1969 and attended Indiana University . He became interested in golf as a high school student and worked at the golf shop at Ulen Country Club for then professional, Jimmy Scott. He achieved status as a Golf Professional and was employed in Florida and then Washington , D.C. area at River Bend Country Club in Reston , Virginia and in Rockville , Maryland at the Manor Country Club.

He moved to Frankfort , Indiana where he served as the Frankfort Country Club Golf Professional for ten years. He then worked in the family funeral business, Myers Mortuary in Lebanon , the past 25 years.

He was married in Lebanon on September 14, 1974, to Rae Ellen (Scaggs) Myers. Mrs. Myers survives.

Mr. Myers was a devoted husband, father, friend, and professional. His kind gentle spirit and jovial manner will be missed by family and friends. He was an avid follower of thoroughbred horseracing and spent many hours studying pedigree and breeding.

Funeral Services are to be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street , in Lebanon , Indiana .

Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon , Indiana .

Mr. Neal was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on August 22, 1917. He was the son of the late Claude Ezra and Pearl May (Foutch) Neal.

He was a life resident of Boone County except for a seven year period spent in Kirklin.

He was married in Westfield, Indiana on April 30, 1938, to Mary Maurine (Fosnight) Neal. Mrs. Neal survives.

He built fences most of his life. He worked with his uncles in the fence business and then was employed at the Hicks Body Company in Lebanon. During World War II he was employed at Winklers. He spent two periods working for the Kirklin Fence Company and the majority of time he was self-employed. He retired in 1986.

He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed his family, woodworking and projects helping others.

Edward Boyd Newby, 58, died on Saturday, December 1, 2007, at Parkwood Health Care Center in Lebanon. He was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on January 5, 1949. He was the son of Edward L. Newby and the late Dorothy L. (Boyd) Newby. He was married to Leanna S. (Beebe) Newby in Shannondale, Indiana on February 15, 1969.

He graduated from Thorntown High School in 1967. He was a life long farmer in the Thorntown area raising cattle and grain. For several years he worked for Ramsey Tile Drainage. He served in the U. S. Naval Reserves from October 1968 to September 1974, serving two years aboard the U.S.S. Thor.

He was a member of the Thorntown United Methodist Church.

An avid outdoorsman, he spent as much time as possible in the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed NASCAR and the Indianapolis Colts. He liked spending his spare time with his grandsons.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.

He spent most of his life in the Whitestown area having moved from Broadripple in 1988. He was a 2001 graduate of Lebanon High School.

He had been an apprentice in the heating and air conditioning industry and was last employed at Bright Sheet Metal in Indianapolis.

In addition to his family and friends, he enjoyed sports and playing baseball and basketball.

Place of Death: At Richard L. Roudebush Veterans Administration Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana

Mr. Newman was born in Boone County, near Thorntown, Indiana, on October 30, 1937, the son of the late Francis Marion and Sylvia Ilene (Delaney) Newman.

Mr. Newman spent most of his life in Lebanon, Indiana. He had resided in Clinton County at Michigantown and Colfax. He graduated from Colfax High School in 1956. He served in the United States Air Force 1956-1960.

He was never married.

Following the period in the Air Force he returned to live in Colfax and was employed in a furniture factory. He farmed for several years and moved to Lebanon in December 1964. He was employed at the Stewart-Warner Corporation un December 1977 when the company closed. He then worked at Sommer Metalcraft in Crawfordsville, Indiana until the fall of 1991. Prior to retirement in 1999, he served as the janitor at the First Baptist Church.

Mr. Newman enjoyed his family, friends, genealogy, and using the internet.

Mrs. Obenchain was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on March 29, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Raymond C. and Grace G. (McCrary) Jackson.

Mrs. Obenchain moved from Indianapolis to Lebanon at age five and was reared and educated in Lebanon where she graduated from Lebanon High School in 1938.

She was married to Earl Meneely on August 31, 1940 and Mr. Meneely died in 1960. She was married to Fred Obenchain on February 4, 1962 in Lebanon. Mr. Obenchain died on June 25, 1992.

Mrs. Obenchain worked at Stewart-Warner Corporation in Lebanon for seven years. She Was employed another seven years at Economy Fire and Casualty. Then she became a legal secretary with the law firm of Kincaid and Shelby where she enjoyed eight years prior to retiring in 1983.

She was a devoted wife, mother, employee, and homemaker who enjoyed her family and friends. She had been a square dancer for a period and enjoyed walking, biking, drawing and painting.

Memorial Services are planned 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon street, in Lebanon, Indiana
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 21, 2007, from noon to 2:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary.
Cremation is entrusted to Myers Mortuary in Lebanon.
Entombment at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.

Mr. Frick was born on February 20, 1921, in Evansville, Indiana, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Robert Frick, Sr.

Mr. Frick was reared and educated in Evansville and lived most of his life in Indianapolis and Lebanon. He graduated from Evansville High School.

He was married on April 19, 1943, to Dorothy Jeannette (Taul) Frick who died on March 2, 1998.

Mr. Frick moved from Indianapolis to Lebanon where he resided 1978-1996. He then returned to Indianapolis before he entered the Parkwood Health Care facility in Lebanon in 1998.

Mr. Frick worked as plant foreman for Bryant Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. in Indianapolis. He retired there in 1986. Following his retirement, he worked part time as a merchandise and supplies purchaser for Bryant Hedback, a division of Bryant Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc.

As a veteran, he served 1942-1945 in the U.S. Navy in the European Theater during World War II and received two bronze stars.

He had been a devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed his family and particularly his grandchildren. He also enjoyed woodworking and gardening.

Pauline L. Giles

1916-2003

Born in Warsaw, Indiana on August 3, 1916, Mrs. Giles was the daughter of the late Thomas Roy and Iva Gladys (Kaylor) Sink.

She lived most of her life in Boone County and 30 years at 1205 South Meridian Street in Lebanon.

She was married to Wilbert O. Giles on June 12, 1934, in Illinois. They divorced in 1965.

Mrs. Giles had worked at Walker Poultry and Heffner Poultry in Boone County. She then was employed at Jones and Laughlin Steel in Lebanon. As a cook she worked at the Draught Board, the Knotty Pine Inn, Mr. R’s, the Boone County Sale Barn, and Kentucky Fried Chicken all in Lebanon. She had worked until April 2002 and in 2001 was named the “Indiana Employee of the Year” for the Kentucky Fried Chicken stores in Indiana.

A devoted mother and grandmother, she enjoyed her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed work, square dancing and ballroom dancing, and flower gardening.
