Elizabeth Johnson, 95, of Syracuse, a member of Wawasee Lakeside Chapel, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at Miller's Merry Manor.

"She enjoyed fishing and crochet work." The Bloomfield, Ill., native retired after 30 years on the production line at Delco Electronics. She was a member of Delco Hobby Club and GM "35" Club. Surviving are a daughter, Bette Brockett of Syracuse; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, and three sisters. Graveside services are 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kokomo Memorial Park. Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ulrey-Renner Funeral Home, Ligonier. Burial will be at Kokomo Memorial Park. Monroe, Mich. - 1912-2002

Luella McBride, 89, of Monroe, Mich., a former member of Emmaus Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, at Mercy Memorial Hospital.

The Fort Wayne native worked at Verna's Bar in Newport, Mich., as a barmaid. She enjoyed showing horses and horseback riding. Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Nadeau of Monroe; a son, Thomas Lahrman of Fort Wayne; brothers Delbert and Theodore Rose, both of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husbands Edward Emerick, Lewis Lahrman and Calvin McBride; a daughter, Joann Shuler; a brother and a sister. Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at D.O. McComb& Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 S. Fairfield Ave., with calling from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials are to the donor's choice.

Agnes H. Culbertson, 101, of Auburn, died Saturday, March 2, 2002, at DeKalb Memorial Hospital.

The Paulding, Ohio, native retired in 1958 from Auburn Rubber Co. She was a volunteer for Retired Seniors Volunteer Program. Surviving are sons Donald K. of St. Joe, Richard of Bradenton, Fla., and Eugene of Auburn; a daughter, DeEtta Close of Auburn; sisters Angeline Jackson and Grace Burdinski, both of Fort Wayne; 18 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sons Paul and Arthur; a daughter, Wilma Beuchel; four brothers; and three sisters. The Fort Wayne native was a homemaker who enjoyed ceramics and painting. Surviving are her husband, Carl O.; her parents, Harriet and Josef R. Smereczuk and Martin R. and Martha Houser, all of Fort Wayne; brothers Mark R. and Michael A. Houser, both of Fort Wayne; and a stepsister, Gaby Fronk of Germany. Beulah Smith, 83, of Butler, a member of Alvarado United Methodist Church, died Friday, March 1, 2002, at DeKalb Memorial Hospital, Auburn.

The Dolphin, Pa., native retired in 1980 after 24 years as a machine operator at Universal Tool. Surviving are daughters Betty Lee, Tillie Wildeson and Judy Ault, all of Butler; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and six stepgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husbands Earl B. Miller and Morris L. Smith; a son, Earl Miller; five brothers; and five sisters. Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Alvarado United Methodist Church, Hamilton, with calling one hour before services. Calling is also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Feller Funeral Home, Waterloo. Elmer W. Seip, 74, of Live Oak, Fla., a member of Dowling Park Church of God, died Saturday, March 2, 2002, at VA Hospital, Lake City.

The Philadelphia native was a retired minister who served churches in the Largo, Fla., area. He served in the Maritime Marine Service during World War II. Surviving are his wife, Patsy A.; sons William and Dennis, both of Decatur, Ind., and Jerry and Harry, both of Monroeville, Ind.; a stepson, Gregory A. Ponds of New Port Richey; daughters Betty Ashley and Esther Cochran, both of Decatur. Ind.; a stepdaughter, Debora S. Smyrski of Live Oak; brothers Harry of Las Vegas, Ed of Farris Hills, Pa., and Jimmy of Morristown, Pa.; a sister, Lillian O'Brien of Pinellas Park; 26 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Andrew; a brother; and four sisters. The St. Mary Township native, who loved motorcycles, golf and photography, retired as a sales representative at Modern Photo, Indianapolis. Surviving are sons Robert G. of New Port Richey, Fla., and Cary D. of Marion; daughters Michelle Sexton of Van Buren, Micki DeLaney of Festus, Mo., Pam Vadas of Hammond, Kimberle English of Louisville, Ky., and Sabrina N. William H. "Rusty" Ruskaup, 82, of Van Wert, Ohio, a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, died Sunday, March 3, 2002, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

The Cincinnati native retired in 1974 after 37 years as a crew leader at Continental Can Co. He served in Patton's Army during World War II, and the Civilian Conservation Corps. Surviving are his wife, Florine E.; sons Donald G. and Michael W.H., both of Naples, Fla., and Timothy of Antwerp; daughters Rebecca Woodruff of Van Wert, and Nannette Ingle of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
