Born in Frankfort, Indiana on April 25, 1921, Mrs. Smock was the daughter of the late James Neven and Mahala Elizabeth “Hattie” (Hicks) Kaser. Her step mother, Pearl Emmaline (Eaton) Thompson Kaser, is also deceased.
Mrs. Smock was reared and educated near Frankfort in the Beard community. She was a graduate of Frankfort High School. She moved from Frankfort to Lebanon in the late 1940’s.
She was married to Charles Eugene Smock on February 15, 1942, at Beard. Mr. Smock died on February 23, 1996.
Mrs. Smock had been a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed visiting with her family and playing euchre.
She had been employed for twelve years as a clerk at the Kroger Grocery Store in Lebanon and retired in 1976.

Mrs. Snow was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on August 4, 1920. She was a daughter of the late Wayne R. and Claire E. (Swails) McCoy.
Mrs. Snow was a life resident of Boone County. She spent most of her time in Lebanon with the exception several years that she resided in Zionsville. She was a 1938 graduate of Lebanon High School.
She was married in Lebanon, Indiana, on June 2, 1940, to Donald E. Snow. Mr. Snow died on August 11, 1973.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed her church.
Mrs. Snow worked as an assistant in the optometry office of Dr. Sullivan and Dr. Hall in Lebanon for several years. She then lived in Zionsville 1975-1978 where she worked in her son’s flower shop, “A Stone’s Throw.” As she returned to live in Lebanon she concentrated on assisting with the care of her grandsons.

William R. Solomon
William R. Solomon passed away Sunday, September 23, 2007 at 4:50 PM at St Vincent Seton Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on June 24, 1924 in Weir, Kansas, a son of Camille and Elizabeth Mae (Cunningham) Solomon who are both deceased. He married Josephine Alice (White) Solomon of London, England on April 21, 1946. She survives. He leaves two sons James Larry Solomon of Lebanon and Wayne R. Solomon and wife Linda of Weir, Kansas and a daughter Joy E. Pollock and husband Bob of Lebanon. He is also survived by sisters, Esther Bruce of Rochester, Minnesota, Norma Worthington of Denver, Colorado, Donna Marler of Witchita, Kansas and brother, George Solomon of Moses Lake, Washington. Deceased brothers and sisters are Raymond Soloman (correct spelling with”a”), James Solomon and Lucille Johnson.
Mr. Solomon served in the US Army 160th General Hospital Unit during WW II from 1942 to 1946. He graduated from Cherokee County High School in 1942 and Pittsburg State Teachers College in 1958. He retired from the Western Insurance Companies in 1986. He was most recently employed by the Center Township Assessor’s office until his death. He was a member of the VFW Color Guard.
He was a past Master of his Masonic Lodge, a past president of the Lion’s Club, a 50 year Shriner and past commander of his American Legion Post in Weir, Kansas. He was a 50 year member of the American Legion, the Lebanon Elks Club and the VFW.
He is also survived by grandchildren Scot Solomon and wife Ann of Danville, Indiana, Jarod Pollock and wife Katie of Indianapolis, Jocelyn Taylor and husband Neil of Lebanon, Kelly Prater and husband Larry of Lebanon, Shane Solomon and partner Carrie Kincaid of Indianapolis, Heather Solomon of Sheridan and Zach Solomon of Weir Kansas. Also surviving are great grandchildren Ella and Eli Taylor, Mallory and Hallie Prater, Aeryn, Denarys and William Solomon and Jay Pollock.
Mr. Solomon’s passions were his family, WWII memorabilia, traveling and photography.
Mr. Solomon lived the Golden Rule, loved God, his country and his family. He had many friends. He lived in harmony and died with dignity. Another one of the “greatest generation” has passed.

Mr. Spencer was born in Frankfort, Indiana, on December 4, 1924. He was the son of the late Artie and Lottie Fern (Curts) Spencer.
He was reared and educated in Frankfort, Indiana.
In Lebanon, Indiana he was married on January 23, 1943 to Eileen (Swails) Spencer. Mrs. Spencer survives.
During World War II, he served in the United States Army in the EAME Theater and received two bronze stars. He returned from service to Lebanon where he has since resided.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Mr. Spencer enjoyed his family and friends as well as racing. He had raced go-karts at one time and was an avid NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt race fan.

Mrs. Spencer was born in Lebanon , Indiana , on July 11, 1934. She was the daughter of the late John George Ferris, Sr. and Ruby (Dodson) Ferris Martin.
A life-resident of Lebanon where she was reared and educated, she first worked a short period at Stewart-Warner Corporation in Lebanon . She attended Speedway Academy and became a beautician and cosmetologist.
She was married on January 27, 1951 in Lebanon to Steve Spencer. Mr. Spencer survives.
Mrs. Spencer worked as a beautician in Lebanon where she owned and operated Donna’s Red Carpet for ten years; then worked in Beauty by Carole; The Cutting Edge; and operated the Beauty Saloon at Homewood Health Campus where she retired in October 2005.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She enjoyed reading the Bible, garage sales, flower gardening and baking.

Ms. Stephenson was born at in Lebanon, Indiana, on November 10, 1951, the daughter of the late Charles Edwin and Inez Mary (Warburton) Stephenson.
She spent most of her life in Boone County and lived in Elizaville prior to moving to Lebanon in 1970. She graduated from Thorntown High School in 1969 and received a B. A. Degree in English from Indiana State University in 1974. She also did post-graduate studies at IUPUI.
Ms. Stephenson was a substitute teacher and para professional for the Lebanon School Corporation. She taught for two years in Terre Haute, Indiana, prior to her return to Lebanon. She was employed at various Lebanon extended care facilities from 1977 to 1985.
She last provided private care for Edna Veatch, Luella Hine, and Edna Mae Antle and did seasonal work for H & R Block.
She enjoyed playing piano and organ for church and various community functions as well as giving generously of her time to others in her life.
Ms. Stephenson was a devoted educator, friend, caregiver, and daughter. She enjoyed music, singing, playing the piano, organ, and clarinet.

James R. Summerville
Mr. Summerville was born near Bloomfield, Greene County, Indiana on July 25, 1938, the son of the late Ray Oscar and Hazel (Floyd) Summerville.
Mr. Summerville was reared and educated in Bloomfield where he graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1955. He attended Purdue University at West Lafayette, Indiana and received a B.S. Degree in Agriculture in 1959. He served in the Indiana National Guard and spent six months on assignment in Puerto Rico. He lived five years in Muncie, Indiana where he operated an elevator and feed store. For a year he lived at Corydon, Indiana and worked as a loan officer with the United States Department of Agriculture.
He was married in Lebanon, Indiana on October 28, 1974 to Myra M. (Bailey) Summerville. Mrs. Summerville survives.
After moving to Lebanon in 1969, he continued to be a loan officer for the U.S.D.A. for a few years. In 1974 he became self-employed and worked to date as a realtor, appraiser, and auctioneer. He operated Summerville Appraisal Service in Lebanon and was a partner in the firm of Summerville, Acton, and Douglas in Lebanon.
