Survivors include her parents, sisters, Zoey and Ivy Elpers, grandparents, Jeffrey Roudebush, Roger and Kim Elpers; great-grandparents, Katrina Stremming, Laverne Roudebush and Larry Georges; Uncles and Aunts, Josh Roudebush, Stephen and Rachel (Elpers) Peach and Paige Elpers; cousins, Camryn, Emalee and Taylor Peach. Preceded in death by grandmother, Theresa Roudebush; great-grandparents, Roy Stremming, Ardath Roudebush, Beverly Georges, Raphael and Lillian Elpers. Services for Avery will be Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Holders Funeral Home with Scott Burr officiating.

Bradford L. Creek

Poseyville, Indiana - Bradford L. Creek, 58, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Deaconess Hospital. He was born in Princeton, Indiana, December 23, 1957 to the late Marvin & Mary (Short) Creek. He was a 1976 graduate at Gibson Southern High School. Bradford was then a professional musician, who toured overseas with his band to play USO Shows for the soldiers. He was also a member of the Apostolic Bible Church. Bradford is survived by his wife, Andrea; a sister, Judy Goodman; step son, William (Holly) Jessie; step daughter, Amanda (Lee) Wildt; step grandchildren, Cody, Olivia, and Riley Wildt; uncles, John Short, Winston Short, and Dean Short; sister in laws, Susan (Norman) Mills and Jeanne (John) Kesster; brother in laws, Steve (Cathy) Baker and Bruce (Lynda) Baker; niece, Jaymie All; nephew, Jayson Goodman and several other nieces and nephews. Services Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with Greg Morrison officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time. Memorial donations can be made at GoFundMe.com and at Fifth Third in the Bradford Creek account for funeral expenses.

Betty Jane (Garrett) Creek

Danville, IN - Betty Jane (Garrett) Creek, 74, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016 at Hendricks Regional Health. She was born Sept. 23, 1941 in Gibson County, IN to the late John Washington and Edith (Roberts) Creek. She was a member of the Corinth Church in Brownsburg and had been a Cashier for CVS for 25 years. Survivors included her husband of 56 years Gerald Creek; 4 children, Dusty Creek, Mark (Michelle) Creek, Jon (Stacey Morris) Creek and Jane Michelle Kirchner; 6 grandchildren; sister, Alma Marie France. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, George, Bob and Leroy Garrett. Services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville, IN with Rev. Jason Emmert officiating. Burial will be in the Owensville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service time.

Claud Luff
Sunday, March 12, 1922 - Sunday, February 21, 2016

Owensville, IN - Claud Luff, 93, passed away Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton. He was born March 12, 1922 in Pike County to the late Henry A. and Lucinda (McClure) Luff. He was a graduate of Spurgeon High School class of 1930 served in the United States Army and was a recipient of a Purple Heart. Claud was also a minister for over 60 years serving the Baptist faith as well as the Nazarene. Claud had two sons that followed in his foot steps serving in the military, Duane and Marlin, as well as the third generation, Duane’s son, Nathaniel who served in Iraq. Carling (Jennings) Dunham is presently serving as a JAG prosecuting Attorney in the Army. Survivors include his wife, Virginia; sons, Duane (Leti) Luff of Houston, TX Marlin (Irene) Luff of Stonefort, IL; 5 grandchildren, Nathaniel(Mari) Luff, Joshua (Sarah) Luff, Marlayna (Steve) Pence, Renata Luff and Mark (Alyssa) Luff; 6 great-grandchildren, Nikki Konia-Crawley and Kira Luff, Madison, Nathan and Gavin Luff, Elleazah and Samuel Pence; sister, Dosha Luff, Evansville; step-son Ken (Cathy) Jackson; step-daughter, Twila Jennings; 2 step-grandchildren, Carling (Randy) Dunham, Lacey Jennings; one step-great-grandson, Michael Dunham. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Alice Ermadine Luff, siblings, Ethel Pogorzelski, Edith Gebhard, Anson, Howard, John, James and Charles Luff. Services Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with the Rev. Bill Reed and Brad Delp officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted by the retired military veterans. Burial will be in the New Liberty Cemetery, Coe, IN. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the service. Princeton, IN - Jerry L. McGillem, 72, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton, IN. He was born in Princeton on October 11, 1943 to John Thomas and Marjorie Florence (White) McGillem. Jerry was a graduate of Princeton High School class of 1961 and served his country in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1969. He was an electrician working for Emge Packing Company until they shut down and retired from Flanders Electric in Evansville. He is a member of the Pike County Genealogy Society. Survivors include his wife of 42 years Kathy (Lamar) McGillem; son, Matthew McGillem (Andrea); daughter, Heather McGillem (Sean); sister, Darlene (Scott) Chenoweth; mother-in-law, Alice LaMar; brother-in-law, Dick (Debbie) LaMar; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers John and Wayne McGillem. Services will be Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Holders Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Father Ron Zgunda officiating. Burial will be in the Owensville Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by the retired military veterans. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday May 18, 2016 at the funeral home. Patoka, IN - Stephen Dennis Fetcher, 74, passed away at his home Monday, Feb. 29, 2016. He was born Dec. 4, 1941 in Gibson County to the late Basil and Virginia (Robinson) Fetcher. Steve was a graduate of Griffin High School class of 1959. He served his country in the United States Army worked for Emge Packing Company, Wilbert Burial Vault and farmed with his brother-in-law. He was a member of the New Life Nazarene Church in Princeton. He is survived by his children, Tim (Patti) of Mt. Olympus, Greg (Sally) of Elberfeld and Mark(Andrea) Fetcher of Princeton; 4 grandchildren, Stephanie of Lynnville, Blake of Newburgh, Michalia and Kaleb Fetcher of Princeton; 4 brothers, Carroll (Ruby) and Troy (Karen) of Griffin, Kent (Patty) of Owensville and Roger (Sherry) of Darmstadt; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Delois in 2010, 2 sisters, Martha Mason and June Oliver; brother, Mike Fetcher. Services will be Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with Gary Arnold officiating. Full military rites will be conducted by the retired military veterans. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the service time at the funeral home. Owensville, IN - Arval Clark Brown Jr., 93, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Gibson General Hospital. He was born in Princeton, Indiana, September 17, 1922 to the late Arval Brown Sr. and Rella (Thompson) Brown. Arval was a self employed farmer all of his life, a deacon for over 50 years, and a lifetime member of the Bethlehem General Baptist Church. He is proceeded in death by his wife, Monzell Brown of 65 years and his sister, Janice Ingram. Survivors include his son, David (Randa) Brown; daughter, Rella Mae (Gary) Bush; brother, John (Katherine) Brown; grandchildren, Julie (James) Holzmeyer, Chad Brown, Aimee (Steve) Day, Jamie (Matt) Alexander, Adam (Stacey) Bush, DeWayne Bush, Brittan (Abby) Bush, and Tim Bush; 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday March 29, at the Bethlehem General Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Austin and Rev. John Motz officiating. Burial will be in the Columbia White Church cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time.
