Harry A. Voyles
Harry A. Voyles, age 92, of Richmond, died Monday morning (September 20, 2004) at Friends Fellowship Community. He was born in Indianapolis on July 6, 1912 to Harry A. , Sr. and Minnie Martin Voyles and had lived in this area since 1926. He was a 1928 graduate of Morton High School and he was a graduate of Earlham College. He was the owner/operator of the former Voyles News Agency and of the originial Readmore Bookstore. He had also opened similar stores in New Castle, Connersville and in Greenville, Ohio. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, a 47 year member of the Richmond Rotary Club, and he attended the Yokefellow Men’s Luncheon.
Survivors include – Wife – Marilyn Miller Voyles to whom he was married 60 years
Daughters – Leslie Ann Adelsperger
Melissa Voyles (Lewis)
Granddaughter – Kimberly Mills
Grandson – Shawn Adelsperger
Great Granddaughters – Hannah Adelsperger,
Aubrey Mills
Ashley Mills
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday (October 2, 2004) in First Presbyterian Church, 100 North 10th St., Richmond. Rev. David Layman will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of to Friends Fellowship Community, 2030 Chester Blvd., Richmond. Arrangements are being handled by Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary.

Alice B. Fannin
Alice B. Fannin, age 63, of Lynn, died Wednesday evening (September 22, 2004) at Reid Hosptial. She was born in Bristol, Tennessee on May 11, 1941 to Virgil and Fay Vanover Loudy and had lived in this area most of her life. She was a retired employee of Kemper Cabinet Company where she was also a member of the 25 Year Club
Survivors include - Son - Eric Nicholson of Fountain City
Daughter - Yolanda Snowden of Winchester
Grandson - Chad (fiance Laura Clevenger)Snowden of Winchester
Sister - Golda (husband Tom) Richardson of Richmond
Brothers - Fred (wife Shirley) Loudy of Centerville
Wayne (wife Anita) Loudy of Hagerstown
Eddie Loudy of Boston
Sister-in=law - Joyce Loudy of Florida
Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces & Nephews and Great Great Nieces & Nephews
Her parents and two brothers, Grady Loudy and Curtis Loudy, are also deceased.
Services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday (September 27, 2004) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Grady Slaven will officiate. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday (September 26, 2004) from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Izola "Cookie" Leavell
Izola “Cookie” Leavell, age 60, formerly of Richmond, died Monday (October 4, 2004) in Aurora, Colorado. She was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on February 15, 1944 to Joe Willie and Hazel Johnson Griffin and had lived in Richmond until leaving 22 years ago. In Richmond she had worked for IRC&D Motor Freight and for Lipscomb Enterprises. She had also worked for California Curl and most recently for Information Handling Services in Denver. She was a member of the International Association of Accountants.
Survivors include – Husband – Donald G. Leavell to whom she was married 30 years
Step-sons – Craig Leavell of Richmond
Adrian Leavell of Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Step-daughter – Turhania Fitts of Indianapolis
Sisters – Jacqueline Fox of San Diego. California
Patricia Gordon of Moreno, California
Cora Utley of Los Angeles

Rosemary Paul of Saint Louis
Shirley Jean Chase of Saint Louis
Brother – Paul Griffin of San Diego, California

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday (October 11, 2004) in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Mary Jane Modlin will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday (October 10, 2004) from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the funeral home.

Violene H. "Vi" Clemens
Violene H. “Vi” Clemens, age 87, of Richmond, died Wednesday morning (October 13, 2004) at Oakridge Rehab and Nursing Care. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 5, 1917 to Charles and Goldie Simmons Morren and had lived in this area since 1945. She had worked for Decca Records and was the retired manager of the Spiegel Catalog Center. She was a member of the Eagles Auxillary, the Richmond Senior Center, the VFW Auxillary (Florida), and she was an active participant in the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. She was crowned the Senior Rose Queen in 1986. She was a member of Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church. Her husband, Ed Clemens, died in 1974.
Survivors include – Daughters – Lana (husband Gary) Mathews of Richmond
Toddy Fox of San Antonio, Texas
Shari (husband Tom) Dodd of Auberndale, Florida
Sara (husband Roger) Cowan of Richmond
Her special friend – Jim Beatty of Richmond
Sister – Virginia Jacobs of Haines City, Florida

A step-son and two brothers are also deceased.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday (October 16, 2004) in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. David Good will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday (October 15, 2004) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eagles Lodge, 75 South 12th Street, Richmond, IN 47374 or to Richmond Senior Center, 1600 South 2nd Street, Richmond, IN 47374.

John W. McCullough
John W. McCullough, age 87, of Richmond, died Friday (September 3, 2004) at his residence. He was born in Bedford, Indiana on February 4, 1917 and had lived in this area most of his life. He was an Army Air Corp veteran of World War II and he was a retired employee of the American Metal Door Company. His wife, Elizabeth McCullough, died July 14, 1987.
Survivors include – Sister – Mary Elizabeth Hammond of Cleveland, Mississippi
And some very special friends
A son, Steven Terry McCullough, and a brother, Raymond McCullough, are also deceased
No service or visitation is planned. Arrangements are being handled by Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary.

Anna L. Rambo
Anna L. Rambo, age 86. of Richmond, died Sunday evening (September 5, 2004) at Heritage House of Richmond. She was born on December 7, 1917 in Frankfort, Indiana to Harry and Mary Margaret Zook McCoy and had lived here most of her life. She was a graduate of Frankfort High School and she was a homemaker. Her husband, John Rambo, died on June 1, 1973.
Survivors include – Daughter – Mary Ann (husband Lowell) Fisher of Richmond
Grandson – Matthew Fisher of Richmond
Nieces & Nephews including Carol (husband John) Livingston of Centerville
Two sisters, Vera Stoops and Virginia Mohler, and three brothers, John McCoy, Fred McCoy and Elmer McCoy, are also deceased.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday (September 9, 2004) in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday (September 9, 2004) from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm at the funeral home

Mary Ellen Spencer
Mary Ellen Spencer, age 79, of Richmond, died Monday evening (September 6, 2004) at Reid Hospital. She was born in Union County, Indiana on October 1, 1924 to John and Carrie Steele McCarty and had lived in this area most of her life. She had worked in the Dietary Department at Friends Fellowhship Community. She was a member of First Christian Church. Her husband, Clarence Spencer, died on October 17, 1983.
There are no immediate survivors.
Public graveside services will be held on Monday (September 13, 2004) at 11:00 am in Richland Cemetery (Union County, Indiana). There will be no public calling. Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Albert G. Dozza
Albert G. Dozza, age 89, of Richmond, died Monday (September 6, 2004). He was born on April 1, 1915 in Richmond to Frank and Mary Salinake Dozza and had lived in this area all of his life. He was a 1932 graduate of Morton High School and he was a retired employee of Alcoa where he was a machinist. . He was an avid bowler in his younger days and he enjoyed flying having held a private pilot’s license. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge. His wife, Edna Kemper Dozza, died on September 2, 1990.
Survivors include Nieces & Nephews and Great Nieces & Nephews
His parents; three brothers, Steve Dozza, Joe Dozza and John Dozza and a sister are also deceased.
A public graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday (September 9, 2004) in Earlham Cemetery. There will be no public calling. Arrangements are being handled by Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary.
