William C. Mullins
Date: 2005-07-15
William C. Mullin, age 70, of Richmond, died Friday morning (July 15, 2005) at Reid Hospital. He was born in Livingston, Kentucky on July 2, 1935 to Edward and Helen Saylor Mullins and had lived in this area most of his life where he was raised by his mother and his step-father, Clyde Elliott, Sr.
Survivors include – Daughters – Kim Graham of Metairie, Louisiana
Christine Bartley of Richmond
Sons – Rodney Mullins of Richmond
Steven Mullins of Richmond
Travis Mullins of Richmond
11 Brothers and Sisters including: Bobby Mullins, Clyde Elliott, Jr., Gerald Elliott, Bonnie, Carol Ann and Sharon
Uncles – Eugene Saylor, Chuck Saylor, Carter Saylor, John Saylor and Keith Saylor
Three brothers, Glenny Elliott, Benny Mullins and Wayne Mullins, are also deceased.

Services will be held at 5:00 pm on Tuesday (July 19, 2005) in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Eugene Saylor will officiate. Friends may call on Tuesday (July 19, 2005) from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the funeral home.

Harry E. Stenger
Date: 2005-06-01
Harry E. Stenger, age 84, of Centerville, died Wednesday morning (June 1, 2005) at Reid Hospital. He was born in Cedar Grove, Indiana on March 17, 1921 to Fred and Violet Quinlan Stenger and had lived in Centerville since 1953. He had worked as a field engineer for Richmond Homes and was a retired self-employed construction worker. He was a member of Holy Family Church.
Survivors include – Wife – Eileen Stenger (to whom he would have been married 58 years on June 25, 2005)
Daughters – Victoria (Peter) Davis of Indianapolis
Kathleen (Charles G., III) Hunt of Chugiak, Alaska
Linda Stenger of Indianapolis
Sister – Doris Stenger of Centerville
2 Grandsons – Andrew (Stacie) Hunt of Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Gregory (Maelynn) Hunt of Palmer, Alaska
Great Grandson – Chandler Hunt
A prayer service will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday (June 4, 2005) in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary, followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Family Church. Father Todd Riebe will officiate Burial will be in Saint Michael’s Cemetery in Brookville, Indiana. Friends may call on Friday (June 3, 2005) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1401 Chester Blvd., Richmond, IN 47374.

George P. Altizer
Date: 2005-06-03
George P. Altizer, age 63, of Richmond, died Friday (June 3, 2005) at the Dayton Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was born on May 16, 1942 in Slagle, West Virginia to Bovy and Flossie Roberts Altizer and had lived in this area most of his life. He was a retired machinist for Hoffco and he was a US Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include – Wife – Alice Grimes Altizer of Richmond
Sons – George “Pat” (Jamie) Altizer of Richmond
Billy (Tina) Altizer of Anderson, Indiana
Daughters – Melissa (Tommy) Hormel of Mooresville, Indiana
Brenda (Brian) Atwell of Richmond
Step-children – Brandy (Joe) McNally of Mildenhall, England
Lawrence Osmer of Fort Benning Georgia
Ashley (Roger) Osmer of Richmond
Sister – Joyce (Ted) Brinegar of Glen Jean, West Virginia

His first wife, Annalee Mitchell Altizer, a sister, Glora Altizer, and three brothers, James Dewey Altizer, Ernest Altizer and Earl Altizer are also deceased
Services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday (June 6, 2005) in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. William Grimes will officiate. Burial will be in Elkhorn Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the Wayne County Veterans Council. Friends may call on Monday (June 6, 2005) from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

William M. "Bill" Markley
Date: 2005-06-06
William M. “Bill” Markley, 78 of Richmond, died Sunday (June 5, 2005) in Reid Hospital following a short illness.
He was born on March 21, 1927, the son of Keith and Elizabeth (Shutz) Markley and was a lifelong resident of Richmond.
Bill graduated from Richmond High School in June 1945. During his junior and senior years, he worked half days at NATCO.
After graduation, Bill enlisted in the navy. He was stationed upon the USS Sperry, a submarine tender in the South Pacific. He was discharged in July 1946.
Bill returned to work at NATCO in the Fixture Design Division. In 1962, He was promoted to Chief Fixture Engineer. In 1986, he became Manager of Product Services and retired in 1990 after 46 years of service.
Bill was active as a little league baseball coach and a Boy Scout leader. He served as District Chairman of Whitewater Valley Boy Scouts. An active outdoorsman all his life, he was also Chairman of the Richmond, Indiana chapter of Ducks Unlimited.
Bill was a member of the American Legion- Post 65, NATCO 25-year-club and Holy Family Church.
Bill was a loving father and husband who always gave unselfishly of his time and energies. His wife of 32 years, Marian (Johnson) Markley died in July 1979.
Bill is survived by two sons, Jeff Markley, his wife Susan and their two daughters Emma and Hannah of Economy, IN; Pat Markley, his wife Cheryl and daughter, Kenna of Louisville, KY; a daughter, Jill Skillman, her husband Tim and children Allison and Craig of Richmond.
Bill remarried in 1982 and is survived by his wife of 23 years, Mary (Hoppe) Markley, his stepdaughter Lynn Bailey of Richmond, her husband Chuck, their son Ryan and grandson Ryan Jr; stepson Scott Hoppe of Richmond and his son Aaron also survive him.
A prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, (June 9, 2005) at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Family Church. Father Todd Riebe will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Andrew Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the Wayne County Veterans Council. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday (June 8, 2005) at the funeral home.
Memorials contributions may be made to Seton Catholic High School, 233 South 5th Street, Richmond IN. 47374 or to Meals on Wheels of Richmond, 1401 Chester Blvd., Richmond, IN. 47374.

Ruth E. Kutter
Date: 2005-06-15
Ruth E. Kutter, age 79, formerly of Richmond, died Wednesday (June 15, 2005) at Life Care at Sycamore Hospital near Miamisburg, Ohio. She was born in Richmond on July 14, 1926 to Allison and Floretta Edsall Stinetorf and had lived here before moving to Dayton in 1965. She was a 1944 graduate of Richmond High School and a 1948 graduate of Earlham College. She was a homemaker and member of the Dayton Friends Meeting. Ruth was a former long-time board member of the Lauramoore Friends Home and had served on the governing board of the Quaker Heights Care Community in Waynesville, Ohio. She was a former member of the League of Women Voters and of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority. She was also a member of the Richmond High School Alumni Association.
Survivors include – Husband – William “Bill” Kutter to whom she was married 54 years.
Son – Greg (Consuleo) Kutter of Salinas, California
Daughter – Cheryl Ann Kutter of Cambridge, Ohio
Grandchildren – Pablo Kutter, Gretchen Kutter, Daniel G. Kutter
Nephews – Michael Stinetorf and Robin Stinetorf
Niece – Rhonda Haggard.
Cousins – Gloria Maurer and Wanda Haas
Two brohers, Eugene and Robert Stinetorf, are also deceased.
A prayer service will be held at 9:30 am (Indiana time) on Monday (June 20, 2005) at Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am (Indiana tme) in Saint Andrew Church (Richmond). Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday (June 19, 2005) from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm (Indiana time) at the funeral home where a Friends Memorial Service will be conducted at 7:00 pm. (Indiana time).

Mary A. Blemke
Date: 2005-06-17

Mary A. Blemke, age 104, of Richmond, died Friday evening (June 17, 2005) at Rose Gate Village. She was born in New Paris, Ohio on January 3, 1901 to Frederick and Catherine Horrigan Blemke and had lived in this area all of her life. She was a retired employee of the former Atlas Underwear Company and then she retired as housekeeper at the Saint Andrew Church Rectory. She was a member of Saint Andrew Church.
Survivors include – Niece – Virginia Walker of Florida
Nephew – Paul Bloemke of Richmond

Two sisters, Grace White and Clara Reimer; a brother, Joseph Bloemke; a niece, Helen Bowles are also deceased.
A prayer service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 1:30 pm in Saint Andrew Church. Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday (June 19, 2005) from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Andrew Church, %240 South 6th Street, Richmond, IN 47374.

Bobby Ray Phillips
Date: 2005-06-26
Bobby Ray Phillips, age 62, formerly of Richmond, died Sunday evening (June 26, 2005) at his residence in New Castle. He was born in Jackson County, Kentucky on October 21, 1942 to Roscoe and Ruby Hurst Phillips and had lived in Richmond most of his life before moving to New Castle several years ago. He had worked at the former Green Acres (now Achieva Resources) in Richmond and was currently employed by Raintree Programs in New Castle.
Survivors include his brother – Kenneth Phillips of Greens Fork, Indiana

His parents are also deceased. A brother, Jack Phillips, died in 1941.
A public graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday (June 30, 2005) in Earlham Cemetery. There will be no public calling. Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
