Clayton Lee Blanchard
Date: 2005-07-01
Clayton Lee Blanchard, age 62, of Richmond, died Friday morning (July 1, 2005) at his residence. He was born on August 29, 1942 in Elyria, Ohio to Harold and Marilyn Blanchard and had lived in Richmond for the past 11 years. He had worked for Lawson Consolidated Foundry.
Survivors include – Brother – Herbert Blanchard of Dayton, Ohio
Sister – Colleen Blanchard of Elyria, Ohio
2 nephews and a niece.
Public services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday (July 5, 2005) in Earlham Mausoleum. Mike Ballard of the Sylvan Nook Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. There will be no public calling. Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Vera C. Randall
Date: 2005-07-03
Vera C. Randall, age 92, of Richmond, died Sunday (July 3, 2005) at Golden Rule Nursing Center. She had been a resident of Alterra Sterling House for the past four years.
Vera was born in Modoc, Indiana on January 9, 1913, the youngest of seven children born to Samuel L. and Laura H. Fouts. She graduated from Modoc High School and married Ernest W. Randall in 1932. They moved from Lynn to Richmond in 1944. Ernie died in 1983 shortly after celebrating 50 years of marriage.
Vera was primarily a homemaker and had also worked as an agent for Claude Jenkins Real Estate for several years. She was an active member of First Christian Church for more than 60 years and she enjoyed playing bridge as well as spending time with family and a wide circle of friends.
Vera is survived by daughters - Linda Snyder, Greenwood, IN
Pat Miller, Marco Island, FL
Wanda Moore, Naples, FL
Son - Ron Randall, Marco Island, FL
Six grandchildren will cherish her memory:
Greg Snyder (Jani) Centerville, IN
Mike Snyder (Tonya) Portland, IN
Alison Strawmyer (Joe) Carmel, IN
Brian Placke (Amy) Cape Coral, FL
Eric Moore (Mary), Lebanon, OH
Amy Moore, Ft. Myers, FL.
Ten great-grandchildren also survive.
Five sisters, Mary Golliher, Emma McGunegill, Thelma Thomas, Glenda Burk Carmichael, Doris Downey Jordan, and a brother, Orlie Fouts, are also deceased
A service of rememberance will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday (July 6, 2005) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Dixie Miller will officiate. Entombment will be in Earlham Mausoleum. Friends may call on Wednesday (July 6, 2005) from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, 100 South A Street, Richmond; In 47374; to Alterra Sterling House, 3700 South A Street, Richmond, IN 47374; or to a favorite charity.

Donald B. Martin
Date: 2005-07-15
Donald B. Martin, age 72, of Richmond, died Friday evening (July 15, 2005) at Rose Gate Village. He was born in Lynn, Indiana on April 29, 1933 to Paul F. and Mildred K. Hinshaw Martin and had lived in this area most of his life. He was a graduate of Lynn High School and was a veteran of the US Air Force. Don was a retired employee of Kemper Cabinets. He was a member of Holy Family Church and of American Legion Post 65.
Survivors include – Wife – Mary Ann Martin (to whom he would have been married 46 years in October)
Daughters – Jane Scruton of Columbus, Indiana
Cathy Stranne of McLean, Virginia
Grandchildren – Bethany Scruton, Evan Scruton
Emily Stranne, Jason Stranne

A prayer service will be held at 9:30 am on Tuesday (July 19, 2005) in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Family Church. Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday (July 18, 2005) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Church %240 South 6th Street, Richmond,IN 47374

Mary V. Henry
Date: 2005-07-16
Mary V. Henry, age 66, of Richmond, died Saturday (July 16, 2005) at her residence. She was born in Richmond on August 18, 1938 to Ralph and Julia Hughes Klingman and had lived here all of her life. She had worked as a nursing home laundry aid and nursing assistant. Her husband, Joseph Henry, died in 1997.

Friends may call on Wednesday (July 20, 2005) from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Services will be at the convenience of the family.

Lucille Koorsen
Date: 2005-07-18
Lucille Koorsen, age 92, of Richmond, died Monday morning (July 18, 2005) at Golden Rule – Beverly Healthcare. She was born in Richmond on February 9, 1913 to Henry and Emma Snoeing Koorsen and had lived here all of her life. She was a graduate of the American Floral Art School of Chicago and had worked in the floral business for many years in this area. She had also worked at Kahle’s Grocery and at The Readmore. She was a life-long member of Saint Andrew Church and a former member of the YMI Auxillary.
Survivors include – Niece – Lucille “Toodie” Cook of Richmond
Nephews – Nathan Hoey of Phoenix, Arizona

Tom Koorsen of Cambridge City
Great Nieces and Nephews
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday (July 22, 2005) in Saint Andrew Church. Father Todd Riebe will officiate. Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery. No visitation is planned. Memorial contributions may be made to Seton Catholic High School % 240 S. 6th St. Richmond, IN 47374. Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Kathryn M. Hunt
Date: 2005-07-26
Kathryn M. Hunt, age 90, formerly of Richmond, died Tuesday (July 26, 2005) at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. She was born in Richmond on October 29, 1914 to Herbert and Marie Rosa Schuerman and had lived here most of her life before moving to Westerville, Ohio in 1998 and then to South Carolina in 2001. She was a graduate of Morton High School and she was a member of Saint John Lutheran Church. Her husband, Fred Hunt, died in 1963.
Survivors include – Daughter – Rebekah (Wayne) Warren of Bluffton, South Carolina
Son-in-law – Barney Wood of Union County, Indiana
Her daughter, Joanna Wood, died in 1989
Public services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday (July 30, 2005) in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Herb Berry will officiate. Burial will be in Lutherania Cemetery. There will be no public calling.

Robert E. "Gene" Nicholson
Date: 2005-07-30
Robert E. “Gene” Nicholson, age 73, of Richmond, died Saturday evening (July 30, 2005) at Reid Hospital. He was born in Richmond on October 10, 1931 to Ralph and Nora Osborn Nicholson and had lived here all of his life. He was a retired employee of Kemper Brothers.
He is survived by – Wife – Mary Nicholson (to whom he was married 29 years)
