Marcia Darlene Hartley-Weiser, 76, of Wichita, sister of Opal Urban of Park City, died Aug. 8, 2003. She was a retired Riverside Hospital housekeeper. Memorial graveside service was Aug. 15 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Michael Fredrick Keasling, 57. of Wellington, son-in-law of Cora and Jim Kehl of Valley Center, died Aug. 16, 2003. Service was Aug. 19 at Day Funeral Home chapel, Wellington, with Rev. Harold Henderson of Crusaders Baptist Church officiating. Burial was at Hillside cemetery in Sedgwick.

Jacqueline J. Stephan, 83, of Newton, mother and mother-in-law of Dennis and Judy Stephan of Valley Center, died Aug. 21, 2003. Service was Aug. 23 at Zion Lutheran Church, Newton. Private family entombment was at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Wichita.

Bonnie Rose Larcade, 61, of Maize, mother and mother-in-law of Tracy Rose and Kyle Omo of Valley Center, died Aug. 26, 2003. She was a Renal Care Group technician. Service was Aug. 30 at Resthaven Mortuary.

Harry L. Yocum Jr., 71, of Newton, father of Kim Lopez of Park City, died Sept. 1, 2003. He was a police officer. Service is at 10 a.m. today (Thursday) at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Newton.

Ivan Leigh Arick, 83, of Valley Center, retired Mobile Oil right of way and claims agent and Williams Natural Gas employee, died Sept. 1, 2003. Service is at 10 a.m. today (Thursday) at First United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Hillside cemetery, Sedgwick.

James C. “Mac” McKinney, 79, of Wichita, father of Claudia Green and grandfather of Gregory Green, both of Kechi, died Aug. 31, 2003. He was a retired Santa Fe line driver and dock worker. Private family services.

Mildred M. Perkins, 88, of Wichita, mother of Mary Minihan of Valley Center, died Aug. 31, 2003. She was a homemaker. Service is at 10 a.m. today (Thursday) at St. Jude Catholic Church.

Noah “Dick” Shurley

Noah A. “Dick” Shurley, 83, of Valley Center, retired Lee Haynes Auto Services mechanic, died Aug. 27, 2003. Graveside service was Aug. 30 at Wichita Park cemetery, Wichita.

Robert Walter

Robert C. Walter, 59, of Wichita, brother of Martin Walter of Valley Center, died Aug. 24, 2003. He was a York Unitary Products Group employee. Private family service will be held in Claire, Mich.

Wayne Smith

Wayne Smith, 85, of Sun City, Ariz., father of Judy Brandt of Valley Center, died Aug. 25, 2003. He was a retired Gas Service Company employee and former Valley Center resident. A memorial service was held Aug. 31 at Palmcroft Baptist Church, Phoenix, Ariz.

Wallace Orville Hoyme, 82, of Valley Center, retired Navy medic corpsman and retired San Diego County Clerk employee, died July 16, 2004. Service was July 20 at the Assembly of God Church. A second service is at 10 a.m. today (Thursday) at Jasper Evangelical Lutheran Church, 101 S. Spicer, Jasper, Minn. Burial is at Jasper City cemetery, with Hartquist Funeral Home, Jasper, having charge.
