Josephine Pinter, 91 of Pittsburg, KS died at 6:30am, Saturday, October
24, 2009 at Cornerstone Village, Inc.
Josephine was born March 5, 1918 in West Mineral, KS to Frank and
Agnes (Potocnik) Karara. She attended area schools.
Josephine married John Pinter in 1941, he preceded her in death on
October 14, 2009.
Josephine was a homemaker.
Survivors include her sister-in-law Frances Ketchie of The Woodlands,
TX, sister Helen of the Kansas City area and several nephews and a
niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and five sisters.
According to her wishes Josephine has been taken for cremation and no
services are planned at this time.
Arrangements are under the direction of the
Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway, Pittsburg, KS 66762.

Lester W. Moore, Sr., 70 of Mindenmines, MO died at 12:30 pm,
Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at his home following a long illness.
He was born December 26, 1938 in Golden City, MO the son of Ben Lee
and Ruth Francis (Hendrix) Moore. He attended area schools and
graduated from Arma High School.
On December 30, 1983 he was united in marriage to Mary Margaret Gall
in Miami, OK; she survives him of the home.
Lester worked for Heckert Construction as a heavy equipment operator
for 47 years. He retired in 2005.
He was a member of the Mindenmines Christian Church.
Additional survivors include two sons: Lester W. Moore, Jr. of Girard, KS
and William D. Moore of Indiana; four daughters: Christie Cagle of Arma,
Terrie Reynolds of Alabama, Pamela Sue Moore of Indiana and Angela
Marie Moore of Topeka, KS; a brother Bill Moore of Carl Junction, MO
and a brother-in-law Leonard Lake of Pittsburg; 17 grandchildren and 4
great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters: Sara Lea Lake,
Linda Hartman, Terri Moore and a brother Ronnie Moore.
Funeral services will be 10 am Friday, October 23, 2009 at the Bath-
Naylor Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Moss and Rev. Jerry Prince
officiating. Burial will follow in the Englevale Cemetery. Family will
receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm Thursday.
Memorials may be made to the
American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Foundation; these may be
left at or mailed to the funeral home. Services by Bath-Naylor Funeral
Home 522 S. Broadway, Pittsburg, KS 66762.

Robert (Bob) Craddock, 53 of Galena formerly of Weir died at 2:10 a.m.
Saturday October 17, 2009 at his home in Galena.
He was born April 24, 1956 in Germany the son of Gary and Gertrude
(Low) Craddock. He attended Southeast High School in Cherokee and
Maryland. He attended PSU welding school and the Radiology program
at Labette Community College.
Bob served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.
He married Rachell Trombley on July 15, 1980 in Miami, OK; she
survives at the home.
Bob worked as a Radiologist Technologist for Freeman Health Systems.
He was of the Christian Faith.
Survivors include his wife Rachelle of the home; a daughter Brandee
Hudgins of Blackstone, VA; a stepson Chris Ray of Oklahoma; his
parents Gary and Gertrude Craddock of Weir; his twin brother Tom
Craddock of McCune; two sisters Melissa Stanley of Charleston, S.C.,
Mary Pline of Roseland and 3 grandchildren.
According to Bob’s wishes he has been taken for cremation. The family
will receive friends at 4 p.m. Sunday October 18th at Gary and Gertrude
Craddock’s home at 508 W. Oak St. Weir, KS. Memorial contributions
can be made to the help the family with final expenses. Memorials may
be mailed to the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 104W. Main St. Weir, KS
66781.

John Pinter, 92 of Pittsburg died at 7:53 a.m. Wednesday October 14,
2009 at the Mount Carmel Regional Medical Center in Pittsburg.
He was born March 31, 1917 in Cherokee, KS the son of Joseph and
Agnes (Jerko). He was a veteran of WWI serving his country in the
United State Navy from 1936 until 1945.
John married Josephine Karara in 1941, she survives at the home.
John worked for TWA as a mechanic retiring in 1978. He was a
member of the Benjamin Fuller American Legion Post #64 in Pittsburg.
Survivors include his wife Josephine of the home; two sisters Agnes
Loeffler of Leawood, KS, Frances Ketchie of The Woodlands, TX;
several nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by his parents
and two brothers Frank and Joe Pinter.
According to his wishes Mr. Pinter has been taken for cremation and no
services are planned.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home
522 S. Broadway Pittsburg, KS.

LaSe’ana Hightower 22, of Girard, KS died October 11, 2009

following a sudden car accident.

LaSe’ana was born October 14, 1986 in Kansas City, KS to

Kevin Hightower and Regina (Badart) Moritz. She came to this

community in 1998. She was a graduate of Pittsburg High

School in 2005 and a current nursing student at Pittsburg State

University.
She left a fiancée, Floyd Hayes who she was set to be married to on
November 21, 2009. She was a member of the Lighthouse Temple
Church of God In Christ in Pittsburg, KS.
Survivors include children Michaela Thompson and Floyd Ja’Marcus
Hayes of Girard, KS; her parents; stepfather Calton Moritz; siblings
LaTisha Thompson, Sabrina Williams, Donovan Williams, Dillon Williams,
Kellina Williams, Derek Adams, Adrianna Williams, Sharelle Melius, Sean
Hightower, Tia Hightower, Chekelia Hightower, Cameron Hightower,
Whitnie Hightower, Savannah Hightower, Destiny Hightower, Kevin
Hightower II, Kyeesha Hightower, Denneka Hightower, Briar Moritz and
Wyatt Moritz; maternal grandparents Tom and Lenore Powell, maternal
grandfathers Orville Mitchell and Johnny Badart, paternal grandmother
Linda Criswell, and maternal great-grandmother Verna Fleck; and many
nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death
by one brother Michael Harris II, her daddy Adrian Williams, and paternal
grandfather Richard Criswell.
Funeral Services will be 11am Tuesday October 20, 2009 at the
Lighthouse Temple Church of God In Christ in Pittsburg, KS with Rev.
Walter Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. OliveCemeteryin
Pittsburg, KS. Family will receive friends from 9-11am prior to the
service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family ask expressions of
sympathy be in the form of memorials to the Children’s Education Fund.

OAKTON, Va. — George D. Clarke, 89 of Oakton, VA, formerly of
McCune, KS died Friday, October 9, 2009 at Sunrise of Hunter Mills
Nursing Home. George was born September 10, 1920, in rural McCune,
KS to Sydney Dean and Carol (Merritt) Clarke. He attended area
schools. On January 21, 1944, in Kansas, he married Loretta F.
McDermott. She preceded him in death on June 11, 1998. George
worked for many years for the KG&E Power Company, retiring as a plant
operator.
George was of the Methodist faith. George was very active in the Lions
Clubs of McCune and Parsons, and held regional Lions Club positions.
As a member of The McCune Alumni Association; he was instrumental in
getting the McCune Alumni Scholarship started. He belonged to the
PAWS Club of Parsons, were he carved and whittled. An accomplished
tree grafter, he grafted pecan trees for several people in Crawford
County. He was associated with the research of pecans. George was an
avid hunter and fisherman and when he no longer wanted to hunt or fish
he golfed at the Oswego Golf Course. Survivors include his daughter
Carol Duesi and her husband Frank of Annandale, VA; a brother Paul M.
Clarke of Kansas City, KS; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
George was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be 1:00pm, Thursday, October 15, 2009 at
MonmouthCemeteryin rural McCune, KS with Rev. Harold Groth
officiating. Friends and family are requested to meet at the cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-8pm on Wednesday at Bath-Naylor
Funeral Home of Pittsburg.
The family suggests expressions of sympathy be in
the form of memorials to the McCune Alumni Scholarship. Memorials may
be left at or mailed to Bath-Naylor funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway, 522
S. Broadway, Pittsburg, KS 66762.

PITTSBURG — Patsy Ann Seibert, 54 of Pittsburg died at 10:02 pm
October 8, 2009 at the Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center.
She was born January 30, 1955 in Columbus, KS the daughter of
Herman and Virginia (Heard) Brumback. She attended area schools and
graduated from Southeast High School.
Survivors include 3 daughters: Jami Cron Bowerman of Peoria, AZ, Jade
Cron and Mandi Parsons Cruz both of Pittsburg; 5 brothers: John
Brumback of Utah, Robert Brumback and Ray Brumback both of TX,
Michael Brumback of Pittsburg and Jeffery Brumback of NE; along with 3
grandchildren Skylar Ann Rashel Rakestraw, Emiliano and Oswaldo Cruz.
She was preceded in death by her parents a sister and two brothers.
Graveside services will be 11:30 am, Friday, October 16, 2009 at the
EdgmandCemeterywith Rev. Donny Talent officiating. Burial will follow.
Family will receive friends at Bath-Naylor Funeral home on Friday from
10 am until 11am when the precession will leave for the cemetery.
Memorials may be
made to the Safe House in Pittsburg; these may be left at or mailed to the
funeral home. Services by Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 522 S. Broadway,
Pittsburg, KS 66762.
