LIBERTY -- Oral Godbey, 86, of Bethelridge died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Edna Vaught Godbey. Arrangements are incomplete at Bartle Funeral Home.

Lily D. Gooch

STANFORD -- Lily Dunaway Gooch, 77, of Stanford died Wednesday at Fort Logan Hospital.

Born May 10, 1923, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Allean Boone Dunaway. She was a retired banker with First Southern National Bank, Lincoln County National Bank and Stanford State Bank. She was a member and organist at Stanford Baptist Church for 50 years, a charter member of Stanford Business and Professional Women's Club, and secretary and treasurer of Fort Logan Hospital for 25 years. She was the widow of Howard Gooch.

Survivors include a daughter, Beverly J. Dudderar of Stanford; a son, Donald W. Gooch of Stanford; two sisters, Doris Bottom and Margaret Grider, both of Danville; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Stanford Baptist Church by the Rev. Dale Denton. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5:30-9 p.m. Friday and 8:30-11 a.m. Saturday at Spurlin Funeral Home and from noon Saturday until time of service at the church.

STANFORD -- Jewell Kidd, 84, of Young Court died Thursday at Fort Logan Hospital. She was the wife of Porter Kidd. Arrangements are incomplete at Fox Funeral Home.

STANFORD -- Freida Stevenson, 54, of Helm Street died Wednesday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete at Fox Funeral Home.

Frances Stroud

Graveside services for Frances Winwood Stroud, 93, of Danville Center for Health and Rehabilitation will be 11 a.m. Friday at Bellevue Cemetery by the Rev. Ernest Martin.

She died Tuesday.

Born June 10, 1907, in Warren County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late George S. and Bertha Harrison Bell. She was a homemaker, a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church and the widow of Emmitt L. Stroud.

Survivors include a daughter, Penny S. League of Danville; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers are nurses and employees of Fellowship Home unit two, Rose Boring, Carol Ann Robbins, Pattie King, Tina Abbott and Florence Stringer.

Memorials may go to Danville-Boyle County Humane Society or the Alzheimer's Association.

Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Services for Georgia Genell Irvin, 66, of Logan Avenue will be 2 p.m. Friday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Revs. Doug Wesley and Dan Gutenson.

Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.

She died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Pallbearers will be Rodney and Mark Johnson, Greg Chadwell, Jason and Steve Irvin, and Michael Robbins.

Honorary pallbearers are members of the Ladies III Sunday School Class at Calvary Baptist Church.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.

Georgia G. Irvin

Georgia Genell Irvin, 66, of Logan Avenue died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Aug. 4, 1934, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late Bell and Ethel Reynolds Irvin. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Debbie Harris of Crab Orchard; a son, Dicky Ledford of Stanford; three sisters, Jerri Lister, Christine Johnson and Juanita Chadwell, all of Danville; two brothers, Manford L. Irvin and Dalton Irvin, both of Danville; and four grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Revs. Doug Wesley and Dan Gutenson. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday.

James B. Blount Sr.

BORGER, Texas-- James Bruce Blount Sr., 60, of Lakeland, Fla., died Monday at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

Born April 29, 1940, in Lawndale, N.C., he was the son of the late James W. Blount and Mattie Blount Faircloth. He was a Baptist minister and an Army veteran. He also had served in the National Guard.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Blount; a daughter, Donna Maxwell of Borger; two sons, Jake Blount of Lakeland and Wayne Blount of Stanford; a sister, Diane Autry of Autryville, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Sharon Pentecostal Church in Clinton, N.C., by the Revs. Homer Furr and Wade Taylor. Burial will be in Horn Cemetery, Autryville, N.C.

Brown Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.

Marquieta B. Key

LEXINGTON -- Marquieta Brown Key, 46, of Nicholasville died Sunday.

Born July 2, 1954, she was the daughter of Mildred Graves. She was a member of Marblecreek Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, James P. Key of Danville; a daughter, Crystal Key of Danville; 10 sisters, Clarice Coulter and Valerie Mason, both of Nicholasville, Teresa Taylor, Daphine Hodge, Silvester and Kevin Turner, all of Lexington, Marchale Martin of Columbus, Ohio, Victoria Owens and Barbara Betts, both of Louisville, and Patricia Smith of Lancaster.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Marblecreek Baptist Church. Burial will be in Cove Haven Cemetery.

Visitation is 7-9 p.m. today at Smith & Smith Funeral Home.

Doris B. Pittman

SOMERSET -- Doris Ann Bolin Pittman, 54, of Somerset died Monday at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Born Dec. 13, 1946, in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Nell Peters Bolin.

She was a homemaker, member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and attended Buena Vista Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Pittman; a son, Scotty Head of Winchester; two brothers, Glen Bolin of Danville and Charles Bolin of Norwood, Ohio; and four sisters, Margaret Groves and Joyce Logan, both of Somerset, Freida Love of Norwood, and Dean Stamper of Middlesboro.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Lange & New Brothers Funeral Home by Clyde Strunk.

Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. today.

PERRYVILLE -- Services for Samuel A. Glasscock, 78, of South Buell Street will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Wilder Funeral Home by the Revs. Guy McCombs and John David Lane.

He died Monday at Harrodsburg Health Care Manor.

STANFORD --A memorial service for Gerald Anthony Horbach, 53, of Stanford, formerly of Chicago, will be held at a later date.

Burial will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

He died Monday at his home.

Born Oct. 13, 1947, in Chicago, he was the son of the late Sylvester and Matilda Horbach.

He was a concrete company employee, a Vietnam veteran and a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross.

He was the widower of Jennifer Tasharski Horbach.

Survivors include a daughter, Pamela McDaniel of Stanford; and a brother, Sylvester Horbach of Salem, N.H.
