Thelma D. Sanders

Services for Thelma Dumas Sanders, 91, formerly of West Lexington Avenue will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Stith Funeral Home by the Rev. Tim Mathis. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.

She died Sunday at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation.

Born Dec. 7, 1909, in Waynesburg, she was a daughter of the late Herbert B. and Hattie Caldwell Dumas. She was a former owner of Arista Beauty Shop and a member of First Baptist Church. She was the widow of Irvin W. Sanders.

Survivors include two daughters, Aloma Hoover of Danville and Greta Harkins of Lexington; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine Vest.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, and Glen Campbell, Scott and Don Harkins, David and Chris Rankin, Mike Vest and Kerry Hoover. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Vest and the nursing staff at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation.

Visitation is after 11 a.m. Thursday.

Memorials may go to First Baptist Church or Heritage Hospice.

Olivia Whitehouse

PERRYVILLE -- Graveside services for Olivia Coyle Whitehouse, 89, of Danville, formerly of Perryville, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Hillcrest Cemetery by the Revs. Ron Holman and James Byrd.

She died Monday at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation.

Born Feb. 2, 1911, in Washington County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Mattie VanDyke Coyle. She was a homemaker and a member of Perryville Baptist Church. She was the widow of Robert Whitehouse.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Doug Bean, Ken and Warren Nash Jr., Joey Kirk, Danny Divine and Dr. David Cleveland.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today.

Memorials may go to Perryville Baptist Church.

Sam Campbell

STANFORD -- Services for Sam Campbell, 86, of Greenriver Road, Hustonville, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Fox Funeral Home by Bob Kiper. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

He died Tuesday at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Louisville.

Born Feb. 8, 1914, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late William H. and Polly Ann Radcliff Campbell. He was a member of South Fork Baptist Church, Disabled American Veterans and American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Elvira Campbell; two sons, Harold Campbell of Stanford and Darrell Campbell of Fairfield, Ill.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.

Memorials may go to South Fork Baptist Church.

Dewey E. Huff

SOMERSET -- Services for Dewey Everett Huff, 88, of Ky. 192 will be 2 p.m. Friday at Somerset Undertaking Co. by S.L. Sears and the Rev. Joe Altman. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

He died Monday at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Born Nov. 26, 1912, in Cains Store in Casey County, he was a son of the late James Washington and Viola Ingle Huff. He was a retired school administrator with the Pulaski County and Science Hill school systems. He attended Berea High School, Berea College and received his masters degree from University of Kentucky. He was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the Kentucky Education Association.

He was an Army World War II veteran having served in the Philippines and New Guinea campaigns. He was a member of the Mintonville Masonic Lodge for over 50 years, and was a member and deacon of Somerset First Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue Luttrell Huff; two sons, James Huff of Delta; and David Huff of Louisville; two daughters, Connie Neeley of Somerset and Patsy Judd of Burkesville; four sisters, Onita York, Mary Rickard, Arlene Baker, Kathleen Ferguson and Silva Singleton, all of Cincinnati; three grandchildren.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials may go to Berea College Memorial Fund or Somerset First Christian Church Building Fund.

She died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Dec. 20, 1936, in Boyle County, she was a daughter of Elizabeth Harmon Tucker of Perryville and the late George O. Tucker. She was retired after 30 years as an Avon representative. She was a member of the Church of Christ and attended West End Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Dale Keith Ellis; two daughters, Judy Lawless of Nicholasville and Annette Ellis of Perryville; two sons, Kevin and Tim Ellis, both of Perryville; a brother, Joe Tucker of Perryville; and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chad and Charles Ellis, Scott and Steve Taylor, Dickie Mayes, Brian Ellis, Aaron Marsee and Scott Thompson.

Honorary pallbearers are Richard Campbell, Ron Tudor, Louis Ewbank, Wayne Thurman, John Marsee and Clifton Taylor.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.

He died Monday at Stanford House nursing home.

Born Nov. 1, 1916, in Whitley County, he was a son of the late John W. and Margaret Harrison Disney. He was a farmer and a former employee of Stanford Creamery. He was the widower of Ruth Hunter Disney.

Survivors include three sons, Orris J. Disney of Louisville, James Disney of Stanford and Howard Disney of Louisville; two daughters, Doris Disney of Rio Rancho, N.M., and Draxie Gooch of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Ruth Parker of Corbin; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jim Ed, Jeffrey, O.J., and Jason Disney, and Johnny and Ralph Wilmot. Honorary pallbearers are Jo Ann Akin, Sarah Gooch, Carolyn Cowling and Alvenia Wilmot.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Fox Funeral Home.
