LIBERTY -- Floye Atwood, 76, of Ky. 1547 died Monday at Casey County Hospital. She was the wife of Elmer Lee Atwood. Arrangements are incomplete at Bartle Funeral Home.

HARRODSBURG -- JoAnn Baughman of Beaumont Avenue, wife of Dr. John S. Baughman, died Monday at her home. Arrangements are incomplete at Ransdell Funeral Home.

Edwin C. Cochran

LIBERTY -- Edwin Coy Cochran, 71, of Cincinnati, formerly of Casey County, died Saturday in Cincinnati.

Born June 2, 1931, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Cecil and Allie Atwood Cochran. He was an auto body repairman, an Army veteran, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Elmwood Eagles Aerie 1694 and the 50/50 Club.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Edward Cochran; a daughter, Janet Peek of Cincinnati; a brother, Garland Cochran of Liberty; and four sisters, Velma Griffin, Evelyn Vanoy, Eva Wethington and Imogene Murphy, all of Liberty.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Burial will be in Caney Fork Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Elsie H. Armstrong

Graveside services for Elsie Cozatt Hays Armstrong, 80, of McDowell Place will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bellevue Cemetery by the Rev. Don Benningfield.

She died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Memorials may go to Centenary United Methodist Church.

Gladys Farmer

STANFORD -- Services for Gladys Farmer, 80, formerly of Danville, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fox Funeral Home by Wendell Douglas. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.

She died Monday at Stanford House nursing home.

Born June 2, 1922, in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late Robert M. and Martha M. Atkins Bray. She was a homemaker and a member of Worldstown Church of God. She was the widow of Varnard E. Farmer.

Survivors include a son, Julian Farmer of McKinney; three daughters, Theresa Stamper of Stanford and Gloria Walls and Shirley Walls, both of Danville; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Edward and Mark Walls, Matthew Stamper, Jeffrey and Anthony Farmer and Johnny Goodin.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.

Dorothy S. Ledford

CRAB ORCHARD -- Services for Dorothy Spears Ledford, 63, of Rigsby Road will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at McKnight Funeral Home by Cecil Roundtree. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.

She died Sunday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.

Pallbearers will be Brandon, Robert and Lee Ledford, Jeff and Timmy Frith, and Stevie Spears. Honorary pallbearers will be Randall and Rodney Price.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. today.

Elsie H. Armstrong

Elsie Cozatt Hays Armstrong, 80, of McDowell Place died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born May 31, 1922, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and May Cozatt Hays. She was an employee of Luria Brothers Co. in Houston, Texas, where she was a trader of scrap iron and steel. She was a graduate of Parksville High School, a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, and the widow of John G. Armstrong.

Survivors include two brothers, John Hays and Sam Hays, both of Danville.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bellevue Cemetery.

Memorials may go to Centenary United Methodist Church.

Stith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Laura E. Pierce

Laura Virginia Edwards Pierce, 87, of Lebanon Road, Parksville, died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born April 18, 1915, in Parksville, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Florence Mitchell Edwards. She was a former Palm Beach employee and retired owner of the former Pierce's Grocery in Parksville for 31 years. She was a member of Parksville Baptist Church and the widow of Ralph Pierce.

Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Pierce and Debra Coulter, both of Parksville, and Marcia Pierce of Mitchellsburg; two sons, Brent Pierce of Danville and Mark Pierce of Douglasville, Ga.; three sisters, Opal Best and Imogene Young, both of Danville, and Joyce Edwards of Parksville; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by Dennis Hisle. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Alan and Stephen Edwards, Steele Harmon, Scot, Jeff, Tyler and Javier Pierce, and Billy Carey.

Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Best, Bev Young, Lee Don Russell, Bill Reece, Gary Sinkhorn, Junie Boyd, Hank Senior and Archie Yates.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials may go to Boyle County Humane Society or Salvation Army.

LIBERTY -- Edward Clark Dunbar, 54, of Nancy died Sunday at his home.

Born March 15, 1948, in Wayne County, Mich., he was the son of Altha Duncan.

Survivors include a son, Edward C. Dunbar Jr. of Michigan; a brother, Franklin Duncan of Detroit, Mich.; a sister, Susan Luttrell of Windsor; and a grandchild.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Richard Owens. Burial will be in Canadatown Cemetery in Williamsburg.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Survivors include her husband, Donald R. Ledford of Stanford; a daughter, Janetta L. Ledford of Stanford; four sons, Finley R. Ledford, Robbie L. Ledford, Roger A. Ledford and Harold J. Ledford, all of Stanford; a brother, Luther Spears of Crab Orchard; three sisters, Flossie Schlappi of Waynesburg, Verna Ledford of Crab Orchard, and Tressa Justice of North Carolina; nine grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at McKnight Funeral Home by Cecil Roundtree. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.

Anna M. McCarty

LEBANON -- Anna Mae McCarty, 75, of Gravel Switch died Sunday at her home.

Born Feb. 10, 1927, in Marion County, she was the daughter of the late James W. and Effie R. Callahan. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, a homemaker, and the widow of James C. McCarty Jr.

Survivors include two sons, Donald L. McCarty of Cox Creek and David R. McCarty of Lebanon; two daughters, Patricia A. Gordon and Martha Gibson, both of Gravel Switch; a brother, Ray Callahan of Bracey, Va.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.

Services are 5 p.m. today at Bosley Funeral Home.

Leonard T. Nebesho

No services are scheduled for Leonard Thomas Nebesho, 61, of Richmond.

He died Saturday at Pattie A. Clay Hospital in Richmond.

Born Feb. 14, 1941, in Wyoming, Pa., he was the son of the late Peter and Stella Cegelka Nebesho.

He was a former housekeeping porter at Meadowview Hospital in New Jersey.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Marie Smithonic Nebesho of Richmond; a daughter, Jean May of Berea; a son, Leonard Nebesho of Berea; three sisters, Teresa Menhennett of West Pittston, Pa., Mildred McAndrew of Old Bridge, NJ., and Irene Shinski of Plains, Pa.; a brother, Eddie Nebesho of Allentown Pa; and five grandchildren.

Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
