Ida C. Walls

MORELAND -- Services for Ida Marie Cunnigham Walls, 94, of Liberty were today at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Dennis Morgan. Burial was in Eason Cemetery, Geneva.

Pallbearers were Michael and Steven Myers, Scott and Roger Cunningham, Josh and Troy Montgomery.

She died Monday at Liberty Care Center.

Gary Snow

Gary Snow, 44, of Danville Pike, Stanford, died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Sharon Snow. Arrangements are incomplete at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home.

Delpha R. Tate

PERRYVILLE -- Delpha Raley Tate, 75, of Third Street died Tuesday at her home.

Born July 30, 1927, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late Harold O. and Mae Baugh Raley. She was an employee of American Greetings Co., a member of Perryville Presbyterian Church, and a life-member of Veterans of Foreign Wars 3634 ladies auxiliary. She was the widow of Harold Tate.

Survivors include a son, Harold Tate Jr.; four daughters, Patricia Chumbley of Harrodsburg, Shirley Hourigan of Gravel Switch, Nettie Elliott of Memphis, Tenn., and Darlene Shearer of Danville; a sister, Joyce Phillips of Harrodsburg; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Wilder Funeral Home by the Rev. Pat Chamberlin. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials may go to VFW ladies auxiliary.

PERRYVILLE -- Archie Yates, 54, of Danville died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Sandy Edwards Yates. Arrangements are incomplete at Wilder Funeral Home.

STANFORD -- Joe Ann Stewart Estes, 60, of the Geneva community near Hustonville died Tuesday at her home. She was the wife of Burl Estes. Arrangements are incomplete at Fox Funeral Home.

Thomas Hall

BARDSTOWN -- Thomas Hall, 63, of Bardstown died Monday at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.

Born in Herrin, Ill., he was the son of the late Joseph E. and Hazel Anderson Hall. He was a retired Wal-Mart store manager, a member and elder of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and member of Bardstown Optimist Club.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Davis Hall; two sons, James Hall of Danville and John Hall of Louisville; three brothers, Joseph Hall Jr. and Jerry Hall, both of Herrin, and Clell Hall of Peoria, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Bardstown First Christian Church by the Rev. Rick Loader. Burial will be in Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 1-9 p.m. today at Greenwell-Houglin Northside Funeral Home.

Memorials may go to the church building fund.

James W. Smith

CRAB ORCHARD -- Services for James W. Smith, 99, of Stingy Creek Road, Stanford, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at McKnight Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.

He died Monday at his home.

Survivors include a son, Doug Smith of Stanford; a daughter, Roberta Belcher of Cincinnati; three brothers, Harmon and Earl Smith, both of Lancaster, and Roy Smith of Preachersville; two sisters, Lucille Price of Crab Orchard and Jewell Anderson of Cincinnati; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was precede in death by a son, Norman Smith.

Pallbearers will be Doug, Eddie, Mike and Norman Smith, Darryll Belcher and David Schmidt. Honorary pallbearers will be great- and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. today.

Roscoe M. Wren

STANFORD -- Services for Roscoe M. Wren, 64, of Portland, Ore., will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Friendship Baptist Church by Johnny Adamson and Darrell Gentry. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery with military rites by Caswell Saufley Post 18 of the American Legion.

He died Sunday in Portland.

Born April 19, 1938, in Broughtontown, he was the son of the late Bruce and Mary Elizabeth Hubbard Wrenn. He was a former truck driver and insurance business operator. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and a graduate of Broughtontown High School. He was an Air Force veteran.

Survivors include a son, Bruce Wren of Las Vegas, Nev.; a daughter, Kathy Wren of Portland; and a brother, Floyd Wrenn of Stanford. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Elaine Wren.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday.

James W. Smith

CRAB ORCHARD -- James W. Smith, 99, of Stingy Creek Road, Stanford, died Monday at his home.

Born Dec. 8, 1902, in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late George and Fannie Bussell Smith. He was a retired farmer and had worked at Garrard County Stockyards. He was the oldest member of Drakes Creek Baptist Church and the widower of Lillian Campbell Smith.

Survivors include a son, Doug Smith of Stanford; a daughter, Roberta Belcher of Cincinnati; three brothers, Harmon and Earl Smith, both of Lancaster, and Roy Smith of Preachersville; two sisters, Lucille Price of Crab Orchard and Jewell Anderson of Cincinnati; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Norman Smith.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at McKnight Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Wednesday.

MORELAND -- Ida Marie Cunningham Walls, 94, of Liberty died Monday at Liberty Care Center.

Born Sept. 3, 1908, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Morton and Mary Yocum Cunningham. She was a homemaker and the widow of Walter Walls and Tony Snow.

Survivors include a son, Rickey Cunningham of Arizona; a daugter-in-law, Norma Sparkman of Middleburg, with whom she had lived; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Dennis Morgan. Burial will be in Eason Cemetery in Geneva.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.

John Griggs

HARRODSBURG -- Services for John Griggs, 71, of Shakertown Road will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Lester Tirey. Burial will be in Ebenezer Church of Christ Cemetery.

He died Sunday at his home.

Born Dec. 8, 1930, in Morris, Ill., he was the son of the late George and Catherine Crick Griggs. He was retired after 36 years with A.P. Green Refractories Co. and was a former Red Wing employee. He was a member of Parksville Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Cook Egbert Griggs; two daughters, Ann J. Petty of Mississippi, and Patricia M. Shannon of Norris, Tenn.; two stepdaughters, Angela L. Devine and Bonnie J. Egbert, both of Mercer County; a stepson, Ronnie Egbert of Mercer County; a sister, JoAnn Griggs of Tennessee; two grandchildren; and 12 step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Rhonda Monroe.

Pallbearers will be Paul and Thomas Shannon, Ronnie Devine, and Johnathan, Andrew and Kenny Devine.

Visitation will be after noon Thursday.

Carole Jenkins

HARRODSBURG -- Services for Carole Ann Baugh Jenkins, 57, of Marimon Avenue will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Jerry Perry. Burial will be in New Providence Cemetery in McAfee.

She died Sunday.

Born Jan. 3, 1945, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of Viola Taylor Baugh of Harrodsburg and the late Luther Baugh. She was a homemaker and a member of Mayo Christian Church.  Other survivors include her husband, Amos Jenkins; three daughters, Tracy Phillips and Amanda Kirkpatrick, both of Harrodsburg, and Melissa Williams of Texas; two sons, Amos Jenkins Jr. and Michael Jenkins, both of Harrodsburg; three sisters, Ileen Jenkins and Linda Jenkins, both of Harrodsburg, and Charlotte Baker of Burgin; four brothers, Frankie Baugh of South Carolina, Ronald, Melvin and Paul Baugh, all of Harrodsburg; and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Jenkins.

Pallbearers will be John, Mark and Charles Jenkins Jr., James Watts, Jack Nelson and Bobby Baker. Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Burton, Roy Baugh and Mark Walker.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today and after 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Evelyn R. Stamper

WAYNESBURG -- Services for Evelyn Reynolds Stamper, 89, of Lawrenceburg, formerly of Waynesburg, will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home by Greg Burton. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.

She died Sunday at Heritage Hall nursing home in Lawrenceburg.

Pallbearers will be James, Floyd, Karl and Edwin Stamper, Don Smith and Glen Reynolds.

Honorary pallbearers are Charles, Richard and Freeman Stamper, Oakleigh Westfall, Connie Ray Miracle and Robert Miracle

Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Johnetta Webb

LANCASTER -- Services for Johnetta Webb, 95, of Lexington, formerly of Lancaster, will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. Bob Coppings. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

She died Sunday at Lexington Country Place nursing home.

Born Oct. 14, 1909, in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse W. and Hattie Bogie Sanders. She was a retired employee of the state Department of Social Services and a member of Lancaster United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Shelby Lee Webb.

Survivors include two daughters, Ann Hostetter of Lexington and Mary Lee Bewley of Oakton, Va.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mike and David Hostetter, Jason, Adam and Bill Bewley and Andy Walker.

Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials may go to Lancaster United Methodist Church.
