Linnie M. Richardson

LIBERTY -- Linnie Marie Richardson, 85, of River Road, Dunnville, died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born May 3, 1917, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Grant and Kate Carmicle Richardson. She was a homemaker and a member of Willow Springs United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Homer Hamlin and George W. Richardson.

Survivors include three daughters, Neiga York of Ohio, Carol J. Lawhorn and Carolyn J. Lawhorn, both of Dunnville; a son, Billie Gerald Hamlin of Dunnville; a sister, Mary Evans of Liberty; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Willow Springs United Methodist Church by Ottis York and Edward Parton. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Jamie N. Adams

WAYNESBURG -- Services for Jamie Nicole Adams, 16, of Elm Street, Crab Orchard, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home by Delmar Whitter and Vola Brown. Burial will be in Ottawa Cemetery, Brodhead.

She died Wednesday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center, Lexington.

Born Aug. 8, 1985 in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of Danny Adams of Crab Orchard and Robin Thompson Strevels of Danville. She was an upcoming senior at Lincoln County High School where she was a member of the Distributive Education Clubs of America, Future Business Leaders of America and the Pep Club. She was a member of Oak Grove 2 Baptist Church and worked as a waitress at Cedar Creek Restaurant in Crab Orchard.

Other survivors include her stepfather, Bryan Strevels of Danville; two sisters, Elizabeth and Michelle Adams of Crab Orchard; step sisters, Jackie and Britney Strevels of Danville; grandparents, Kenneth and Georgia Thompson of Eubank and Jean Adams of Crab Orchard.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. today.

John Jupin

Services for John Jupin, 91, of Lebanon Road were today at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by Thad Eubank. Burial was in Danville Memorial Gardens.

He died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born March 31, 1911, in Stonega, Va., he was the son of the late Mike and Maria Kichina Jupin. He had been a coal minor in Mayberry, W.Va., for 26 years and was a retired employee of Kentucky State Hospital where he worked for 18 years. He was the widower of Hettie Mae Cook Jupin.

Survivors include two daughters, Helen Blevins of Danville and Anna Mae Worthington of Parksville; a son, John Jupin Jr. of Abilene, Texas; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Irvin Worthington Jr., Brad Wilson, Johnny and Gary Worthington, Roger Gilpin and Travis Carroll.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday.

Garland E. Carpenter

STANFORD -- Services for Garland Edward Carpenter, 63, of Ky. 698, McKinney, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Green River Pentecostal Church by Rick Naylor. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

He died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Preston and Prentice Hubble, Shane Yocum, Johnny Brown, Brandon Hines and Eddie Brown. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Privett, Bill Walls, Roger Carrier, Orlis Sparkman, Kenneth and Jeff Long.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Fox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Grace Combs

LANCASTER -- Services for Grace Combs, 103, of Lancaster will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Revs. Barry Jeffries and Eldon Bowling. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

She died Thursday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.

Born Nov. 18, 1898, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Hazelwood House. She was a retired homemaker, a member of Lancaster Baptist Church and the widow of E.D. Combs.

Survivors include two sons, Ernest Combs and Earl Combs, both of Lancaster; a daughter, Bernice Sebastian of Stanford; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Clyde Combs.

Pallbearers will be Brian Thompson, and Edwin, Wayne, Greg, Jerry and Steve Combs.

Memorials may go to Oneida Baptist Institute, Oneida, Ky. 40972.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.

J.H. "Achie" Bugg, 82, of Hustonville Road, died Saturday at Charleston Health Care Center.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Bugg.

Maymie Cornett

WAYNESBURG -- Maymie Cornett, 79, of South Fork Road, Kings Mountain, died Friday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.

She was the widow of Glen Cornett.

Earl D. Hutchison

STANFORD -- Earl D. Hutchison, 77, of Ky. 1247, Highland, died Saturday at his home.

Born Aug. 16, 1924, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Noah G. and Georgia Hill Young Hutchison.

He was a former manager of the Louisville Store in Danville where he worked for 23 years and manager at Shillito's department store in Lexington for three years.

He was a member of Highland Methodist Church and served as Sunday school superintendent for more than 10 years. He was a member of Franklin Masonic Lodge 28 in Danville for more than 40 years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and was awarded two Purple Hearts.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Pendigraph Hutchison; two sons, Joe V. and Don L. Hutchison, both of Highland; a daughter, Linda Kimberlin of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother, Dailey Hutchison of Louisville; a sister, Mayme Cordier of Louisville; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Highland Methodist Church by the Revs. Dennis Spencer and Norman Young. Burial will be in Highland Methodist Cemetery with military rites by Caswell Saufley Post 18 of the American Legion.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Monday and after 8 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Fox Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Sandra Williams

Sandra J. Caldwell Williams, 38, of Gillespie Pike, Paint Lick, died Friday at her home.

Born March 3, 1964, she was the daughter of the late Howard W. Caldwell and the late Juanita West. She attended Mount Freeman Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Gary Godbey of Paint Lick; two daughters, Valerie Williams of Junction City and Kim Coleman of Bellville, N.J.; a companion, George Carrier of Paint Lick; two brothers, Timmy Caldwell of Danville and Roger Caldwell of Marion, Ind.; three sisters, Sharon Anderson and Carolyn Galloway, both of Junction City, and Dee Dee West of Danville; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Stith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cream Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Sara A. McConnell

Sara Adeline McConnell, 86, died Saturday at Stanford House nursing home.

Born Feb. 23, 1916, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel C. and Jean Gaskin McConnell.

She was a 1934 graduate of Danville High School and a 1938 graduate of Centre College. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.

She was the first music teacher hired by the Boyle County School board to teach music in the elementary schools. In 1940, she went to Charleston, W.Va., as YWCA music director and later to Providence, R.I., retiring from the Washington, D.C., YWCA in 1980. She had been involved in recruiting for YWCA Sunday afternoon music programs and YWCA International Fairs.

After retirement, she entertained in nursing homes, retirement homes and senior citizens groups, and was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels in the Washington, D.C., area.

Survivors are nieces, including Margaret McConnell of Danville and Angela Goodpaster of Shalimar, Fla.; and a sister-in-law, Martha McConnell of Danville.

Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bellevue Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at Stith Funeral Home.

Pearl R. Bradley

PERRYVILLE -- Pearl Royalty Bradley, 85, of North First Street, Danville, formerly of Perryville, died Sunday in Paducah.

Born March 31, 1917, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Maggie Hardin Royalty.

She was a retired sales clerk for the Children's Shop and Hub Frankel department store. She was a member of Danville Church of Christ and the widow of Guy Bradley.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wilder Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Adley B. Bryant

LIBERTY -- Adley Bud Bryant, 84, of Bryant Ridge Road died Sunday at home.

Born June 11, 1917, in Liberty, he was the son of the late Adam D. and Sarah E. Lamb Bryant. He was a retired farmer and a member of South Fork Baptist Church. He was the widower of Ova Stanford Bryant.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Floyd Bryant; a daughter, Carol Lawhorn of Liberty; two sons, Mike Bryant and Phillip Bryant, both of Liberty; a stepson, Wendell Raney of Kings Mountain; a stepdaughter, Yvonne Carman of Lexington; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; and 13 stepgreat-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bartle Funeral Home by Vernon Blakey and Marshall Malone. Burial will be in Brush Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Tuesday.
