Lucy M. West

LANCASTER -- Lucy C. Moore West, 89, of Long Branch Drive died Thursday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.

Born Nov. 4, 1913, in Knox County, she was the daughter of the late Martin P. and Mary Jenkins Moore. She was cook at Buckeye High School, having retired after 33 years. She was a member of Forks of Dix River Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Russell West of Windsor, Pa.; a daughter, Sedonia Edgington of Lancaster; a sister, Lillian Browning of Lancaster; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ralph West; a daughter, Elizabeth Ray; and a grandson.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Revs. Jerry Browning and Billy Jackson. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Norman Oliver, Larry Browning, Hogan Moore, James Gilbert and Alan Edgington, Willie Ray, Rusty West and J.D. East.

Honorary pallbearers are Lisa West, Teresa Drew, Melinda Dailey, Regina Meadows, Glenna Adams and Janet Caudill.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.

Rosetta Burchfield

STANFORD -- Services for Rosetta Burchfield, 68, of Stanford will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Spurlin Funeral Home by Roger Stevens. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

She died Thursday at St. Joseph Hospital.

Born Feb. 16, 1934, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence "Cash" and Mattie Wardlow. She was a retired employee of Cowden's Manufacturing Co. and the widow of Robert Burchfield.

Survivors include a son, David Burchfield of Crab Orchard; a daughter, Brenda Frederick of Stanford; two brothers, Richard Wardlow and Shug Wardlow of Crab Orchard; a sister, Anna Mae Hopkins of Crab Orchard; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.

Velma A. Acton

SCIENCE HILL -- Velma Abbott Acton, 87, of Eubank died Tuesday at her home.

Born Aug. 29, 1915, in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late John and Cora Larkin Abbott. She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Crab Orchard.

Survivors include a son, Claude J. Acton of Woodstock; a sister, Marie Smith of Crab Orchard; a brother, Shelva Abbott of Highland Heights; two grandchildren; and three great-grandsons.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home by Noah Broughton. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. today.

Memorials may go to Gideons International Bible Fund or Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

STANFORD -- Rosetta Burchfield, 66, of Stanford died today at St. Joseph Hospital. She was the widow of Robert Burchfield.

Colleen W. Ross

LANCASTER -- Colleen W. Ross, 73, of Lexington died Wednesday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.

Born Nov. 21, 1929, in Letcher County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel M. and Mary Bell Colliver Wright. She was a retired clerk with the Internal Revenue Service and a member of Woodland Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Kenton Ross; a daughter, Latisha Neff of Wichita Falls, Texas; two brother, Henry E. Wright of Johnson City, Tenn., and Cowles H. Wright of Los Angeles, Calif.; a sister, Judith Mulvaney of Kinmundy, Ill.; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Paint Lick Cemetery by the Rev. Jeanette Lucas.

There will be no visitation.

Ramsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

James G. Kraemer

Services for James G. "Jimmy" Kraemer Jr., 51, of Boyden Court will be 2 p.m. Monday at Roberts Bruce East Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Ocala, Fla.

He died Tuesday at his home.

Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Monday.

Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice.

James G. Kraemer

James G. "Jimmy" Kraemer Jr., 51, of Boyden Court died Tuesday at his home.

Born April 3, 1951, in Rice Lake, Wisc., he was a son of James G. and Doris Meysembourg Kraemer of Ocala, Fla. He was an employee of Hitachi Automotive Products.

Other survivors include a brother, Gregory Kraemer of Florence, Ala.; and a sister, Roxanne Blackmon of Leesburg, Fla.

Services will be held in Florida.

Irene W. Mitchell

Services for Irene Ada Warren Mitchell, 82, of Arnold Tower will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Stith Funeral Home by Odis Clark. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery.

She died Tuesday at Charleston Health Care Center.

Born Oct. 16, 1920, in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Hollis and Dovie Young Warren. She was an employee of GENESCO and a graduate of Junction City High School. She was a member of the Senior Companion program and Junction City Baptist Church. She was the widow of Frank M. Mitchell.

Survivors include three sons, Edwin C. Mitchell of Henryville, Ind., Jesse W. Mitchell of Junction City and Larry K. Mitchell of Stanford; two daughters, Betty Griffith and Linda Deskins, both of Danville; a brother, Millard Warren of Danville; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Philip Deskins, Ryan and McKenzie Mitchell, Michael Warren, Waylon Boyd and Norman Griffith.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today.

Memorials may go to Alzheimer's Foundation.

Services for Jessie Thomas Roller, 79, of Springhill Road were today at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Revs. Barry Harmon and Jerry Lanham. Burial was in Bellevue Cemetery.

CRAB ORCHARD -- Services for Nora A. Smith Davidson, 76, of Main Street will be 11 a.m. Thursday at McKnight Funeral Home by Jim Raulerson. Burial will be in Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery.

She died Monday at Rockcastle County Hospital in Mount Vernon.

Pallbearers will be John, Marty and Sam Smith, Michael Hittle, James Ray Manuel, Danny Kessler and Bobby Voelker.

Lisa C. Holtslander

LANCASTER -- Services for Lisa Coffey Holtslander, 44, of Lancaster Street, Stanford, formerly of Lancaster, will be 2 p.m. today at Lancaster First Assembly of God by the Revs. B.J. Taylor, Tommy Wall and Barry Jeffries. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

She died Sunday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.

Born Sept. 25, 1958, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of Tom and Sue Muse Hale of Lancaster. She was a homemaker and a member of Lancaster First Assembly of God.

Other survivors include her husband, Roger Holtslander of Detroit, Mich.; a son, Aaron Coffey of Stanford; a daughter, Amber Coffey of Stanford; a grandmother, Geneva Sanders of Danville; a sister, Nora Hale of Lancaster; and two brothers, Tommy and Ricky Hale, both of Lancaster.

Pallbearers will be Rick and Bruce Muse, Justin Hale, T.C. Fraley and David Thacker. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Coffey and Danicia Hale.

LIBERTY -- Services for Paul Monroe Moran, 77, of Kings Mountain will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Bartle Funeral Home by the Revs. C.B. Carman and Mike Hatter. Burial will be in Grove Ridge Cemetery.

He died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Jan. 26, 1925, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Samuel W. and Lula Belle Richardson Moran.

He was a former crane operator with Interlake Steel in Wilder and a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Vaughn Hatter Moran; three daughters, Patricia Dalton of Williamsburg, Ohio, and Darlene Embry and Anita Moran, both of Caneyville; a son, Randy Moran of Ludlow; four stepdaughters, Phyllis Harris of Cincinnati, Ohio, Marketta Woods of Walltown, Marilee Monroe of Sunbright, Tenn., and Kathy Kelley of Stanford; a stepson, Michael Hatter of Walltown; two brothers, Al Moran of Kings Mountain and Jay Moran of Hillsboro, Ohio; six great-grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nine step great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Randy, Michael and Tim Moran, Kenneth Embry, Jason and Dan Dalton.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. today.
