George E. Miller

George Ellis Miller, 80, of Evans Heights, Junction City, died Thursday at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Lexington.

Born Aug. 1, 1922, in Lexington, he was the son of the late Charles S. and Nell Brown Miller. He was a supervisor at Roper and Tri County Assembly. He had served as a staff sergeant in the Marine Corps during World War II, was a Methodist and attended Hofstra College in New York.

Survivors include his wife, Emma McCaslin Miller; a son, Richard W. Miller of Sonora, Calif.; a daughter, Kathleen Miller Sinkhorn of Junction City; a brother, Jack Miller of Mount Sterling; a sister, Doris Croley of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Miller.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Stith Funeral Home by the Rev. Don Benningfield. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials may go to the American Heart Association or Centenary United Methodist Church Building Fund.

LIBERTY -- Darrell Wethington, 52, of Liberty died Thursday in Pittsburgh, Pa.Arrangements are incomplete at Bartle Funeral Home.

Georgia L. Tyler

Services for Georgia Lula Tyler, 89, of Danville were today at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home the Rev. Bob Bausum. Burial was in Bellevue Cemetery.

She died Wednesday at Stanford House nursing home.

Pallbearers were James Yates, Wade and Bobby Followell, George Jackson, Jay Smith and John Key.

Jesse D. Grubbs

HARRODSBURG -- Services for Jesse Donald Grubbs, 65, of East Factory Street will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Mark Williams. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

He died Wednesday at his home.

Born Feb. 18. 1938, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Jesse G. and Bertha E. Goodpaster Grubbs. He was a retired brick mason and a Baptist.

Survivors include two sons, Donald W. Grubbs of Salvisa and James E. Grubbs of Harrodsburg; five daughters, Pamela S. Hatter of Mercer County, Anita C. Montgomery and Cathy M. Grubbs, both of Danville, Linda M. Hasan-Hamad of Canton, Ga., and Dianna E. McPherson of Harrodsburg; two brothers, Harold L. Grubbs of Washington County and Ronald E. Grubbs of Shepherdsville; two sisters, Barbara Ross of Burgin and Alice Darland of Harrodsburg; 16 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Montgomery, Nick Burger, Jesse Grubbs, Clayton McPherson, Aaron Houp, Jody Grubbs, Shea Ford and Christopher Harlan.

Honorary pallbearers are granddaughters.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today and after 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Memorials may go to American Lung Association.

Julia W. Holtzclaw

MORELAND -- Services for Julia Catherine Wilkinson Holtzclaw, 68, of Hustonville will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Westside Community United Methodist Church by the Revs. Don Scilley and Scott Wilson. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

She died Monday in Pulaski County.

Pallbearers will be Andy and J.R. Holzclaw, Sam Key, Tommy Quinn, Bart and Brett Woodrum. Honorary pallbearers are Rose Beldon, Doris Lynn, Charles McGill, Agatha McGirr, Linda McKnight, Glenda Prosser, Nannie and Ricky Rogers.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. today and after noon Saturday at the church.

Minnie Moore

LIBERTY -- Services for Minnie Bell Moore, 88, of Liberty will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bartle Funeral Home by Bearl King and Rick Naylor. Burial will be in Tapscott Cemetery.

She died Wednesday at Charleston Health Care Center in Danville.

Born May 22, 1915, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Prillie Murphy Crawley.

She as a homemaker and the widow of Jason Lawrence Moore.

Survivors include two sons, John Moore of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Gary Moore of Hustonville; two daughters, Linda Pruitt of Richmond and Emma Walters of Trafalgar, Ind.; a brother, George Crawley of Indianapolis; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; five step grandchildren; and seven step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, William R. Moore.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. today.

Georgia Lula Tyler, 89, of Danville died Wednesday at Stanford House nursing home.

Born Aug. 24, 1913, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late W.T. and Rosa Lee Robinson Prewitt. She was a retired seamstress, a member of Salt River Baptist Church and the widow of Herrick Tyler.

Survivors include a son, Walter "Buddy" Tyler of Danville; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home the Rev. Bob Bausum. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.

Alvin L. Crawley

HARRODSBURG -- Alvin L. Crawley, 68, of Harvey Pike died Tuesday at Central Baptist Hospital.

Born Feb. 11, 1935, in Lexington, he was the son of the late Brent and Emma Durbin Crawley. He was a farmer and a member of Providence Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lorena Peavler Crawley; a daughter, Carolyn Long of Harrodsburg; four sisters, Nancy Prather and Isabelle Moore, both of Lexington, Brenda Smith of Lawrenceburg and Mary Ellen Neal of Harrodsburg; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Tony and Alvin Crawley.

Services will be 3:30 p.m. Friday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Jon Jones and John David Lane. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mike Camic, Joe Adams, Ronnie Smith, Josh Collier, Brent Crawley and Roger Long. Honorary pallbearers are Jordan and Rachel Long, Chastity and Dawn Crawley and Linda Baker.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today and after 7:30 a.m. Friday.

Pauline C. Robinson

Services for Pauline "Polly" Chrisman Coy Robinson, 90, are private.

She died Wednesday at Danville Center for Health and Rehabilitation.

Born May 9, 1913, in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Conrad Chrisman and Lena Roberts Coy. She grew up at Blythewood in Richmond and formerly lived in the Proctor-Rowland House at 243 North Third St., which is on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of the Todd-Montgomery houses on Beaten Biscuit Row. She was the widow of John Calhoun Robinson Jr., with whom she collected and dealt in antiques for many years. She was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Lenabelle Robinson Harkins of Danville; a son, John C. Robinson of Lexington; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Stith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice.

Chester A. Engle

PERRYVILLE -- Services for Chester Arthur Engle, 83, of Parksville will be 11 a.m. Friday at Wilder Funeral Home by Robert Johnson. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

He died Tuesday at Liberty Health Care Center.

Born Oct. 25, 1919, in Whitley County, he was the son of the late William F. and Ollie Brewer Engle. He was a retired farmer and former employee of Boyle County Board of Education. He was a member of Mitchellsburg United Methodist Church and the widower of Mary Ellen Vaught Engle.

Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Alsip of Perryville; a son, Clyde Engle of Indiana; a sister, Anna E. Baker of Corbin; a brother, Edgar Engle of Georgia; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Engle.

Pallbearers will be Michael and Robbie Engle, Kenney Smock, Elmer Scott, Charles Gilpin Jr., Tommy Orberson, Gary Smith and Joshua Barlow. Honorary pallbearers are Carl Leffew, Ted Adkins, Gayle Gibson, Hope Wofford, Steve Wade, Jimmy Coffman and Walter Sims.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.

HARRODSBURG -- Services for Keith Goodlett, 39, of Harrodsburg will be 2 p.m. Friday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by James Harley and the Rev. Kenneth Whitehouse. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

He died Tuesday at Central Baptist Hospital.

Born March 14, 1964, in Harrodsburg, he was the son of Clarence and Louise Raley Goodlett. He was an employee of Goodlett's Septic Tank Cleaning Co.

Other survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Sanders Goodlett; grandmother, Marie Goodlett of Harrodsburg; two daughters, Crimson R. Mongeau and Crista L. Mongeau, both of Harrodsburg; a brother, Stevie Goodlett of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Melissa Goodlett Hartman of Mercer County and Christy Wohner of Harrodsburg.

Pallbearers will be Troy Moore, Ricky Mobley, Arnold White, Carl Carpenter, Toby Collier, Tony Sandford and Greg Anderson.
