Emily A. Depp
MORELAND -- Services for Emily Alexander Depp, 83, of Pensacola, Fla., will be 2 p.m. Saturday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Betsy Smith. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.
She died Tuesday in Pensacola.
Born March 4, 1917, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Howard L. and Catherine Combest Alexander. She was a retired teacher at Hustonville Elementary School where she taught for 30 years, and the widow of George Depp.
Survivors include a son, Chris Depp of Danville; a daughter, Kay Depp Broughton of Pensacola; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Spencer and Casey Depp, Charles "Buster" Watts, Max Stephenson, Benny Burris, Jimmy Cooper, Burton Cochran and Jason Turpin. Honorary pallbearers are Jennifer Broughton and Art Diemond.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. today.

Arthur L. Sanders
HARRODSBURG -- Services for Arthur L. Sanders Jr., 71, of Cornishville Road, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Rev. James Harley. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
He died Wednesday at his home.
Born Jan. 26, 1929, in Los Almos, Colo., he was a son of the late Arthur and Hattie Lewis Sanders. He was a retried employee of Corning Glass and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Onita Sallee Sanders; a son, Terry Sanders of Harrodsburg; two daughters, Wanda Smith of Harrodsburg and Patricia Barnett of Prattville, Ala.; a brother, Thomas Sanders of Calif.; three sisters, Hannah Hume, Mary Goodlett and Charlotte Smith, all of Harrodsburg; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Sanders Jr., Dennis Kincaid, Tommy and Delbert Sullivan, Danny Goodlett and Jimmy Hume. Honorary pallbearers are Sherri Spain, William Sallee, James Barnett and Arthur G. Bryant.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. today.

Marvin Sparks
HARRODSBURG -- Services for Marvin Sparks, 41, of Mercer County will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Buddy Turpin. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
He died Wednesday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.
Born June 14, 1958, in Harrodsburg, he was a son of Alice Dean Sparks of Harrodsburg and the late Edward A. Sparks Sr. He was a former employee of Florida Tile.
Other survivors include two brothers, Ronald T. Sparks of Millington, Tenn., and Connie Sparks of Lawrenceburg; four sisters, Barbara Turpin, Edna Lister, Elizabeth Sparks and Joyce Scull, all of Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers will be Mike Scull, Chuck McKinney, John Million, Donnie Hampton, Larry Lyons and Ronnie Thornton.
Visitation is 7-9 p.m. today and after 7 a.m. Saturday.

Geraldine F. Harris
Geraldine Ford Harris, 50, of Winston-Salem, N.C., died there Friday.
Born April 29, 1949, in Green County, she was a daughter of the late Chester and Lucille Ford. She was a former employee of Vern Tobacco Warehouse in Lexington, a graduate of Bate High School and a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Danville.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Harris Jr.; two daughters, Melinda Harris and Teresa Harriston, both of North Carolina; a son, Larry Harris Jr. of North Carolina; a brother, Jerry Ford of Harrodsburg; three sisters, Linda Kinley, Brenda Ford and Camille Dawson, all of Danville; and three grandchildren.
Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Righteous Church of God in Winston-Salem by Tony Neal.
Visitation is 7-8 p.m. today at the church.

Edna T. Thompson
LEXINGTON - Edna "Edye" Toadvine Thompson, 56, of Lexington died Monday at her home.
Born Jan. 26, 1944, in Danville, she was a daughter of the late W.L. and Dora Toadvine. She was a personal assistant at John R. Gaines Thoroughbreds, a member of First Church of God in Danville, and attended Gardenside Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Robyn Belknap of Richmond; three brothers, William L. Toadvine Jr. and Robert S. Toadvine, both of Danville, and Thomas E. Toadvine of Moreland; and a granddaughter.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home by the Rev. Gary Nelson. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mike, Rick, Dennis, Chris and Ben Toadvine. and Fox Caldwell.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.

Services for Mildred Jane Johnson, 74, of Lebanon Road will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Bill Boldt. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery.
She died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Jan. 1, 1926, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late William and Mabel Floyd Goens. She was a retired employee of Jackson Chair Co. and a member of Parksville Baptist Church. She was the widow of Lonnie Johnson.
Survivors include two sons, Gary B. Johnson of Boyle County and Ronald E. Johnson of Rockwood, Tenn.; a brother, Louis Goens of Lancaster; two sisters, Ruby Preston of Danville and Josephine Brummett of Casey County; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Chris and Glen Singleton, Roger Woodrum, Thurman Preston, Hudson Belcher and Marlin Taylor.
Visitation is 4-9 p.m. today.

Lorena S. Lowry
PERRYVILLE - Services for Lorena Sargent Lowry, 81, of Tuggle Road will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Salt River Baptist Church by the Revs. Bob Bausum, Bill Boldt and Ken Ward. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
She died Friday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center after being injured in a traffic accident.
Born Aug. 19, 1918, in Boyle County, she was a daughter of the late Ervbn and Geneva Sargent. She was a homemaker and a member of Salt River Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin Lowry; five daughters, Ollie Mae Minor of Ohio, Sylvia A. Norvell of Perryville, Dixie L. Mullins of Versailles, Peggy J. Yankey of Gravel Switch and Linda F. Speakes of Paris; two sons, Marvin "Billy" Lowry and Raymond Ervbn Lowry, both of Perryville; fours sisters, Judy Smith of Ohio, Evie Edwards of North Carolina, and Lucille Preston and Myrtle Fowler, both of Danville; two brothers, Frank Sargent of Danville and Jim Sargent of Perryville; 25 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers are Robert Lowry, Chris, Jim, Jonathan, and Joseph Speakes, Mark Cheatham, Greg Yankey and Scott Lowry. Honorary pallbearers are all other grandchildren.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today at Wilder Funeral Home and noon Wednesday at the church until time of service.

Charlotte M. Driskell
HARRODSBURG - Services for Charlotte Moore Driskell, 58, of Tewmey Lane were held today at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Revs. Jon Jones and David Hartman. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
She died Saturday at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Pallbearers are Eddie Lay, Allen Pickett, Joe Gill, Charles Anderson, Delmar O'Dell, Marlin Followell and Reid Hendren.
Honorary pallbearers are members of Pioneer Saddle Club and Newcomers Homemakers Club.

STANFORD -- Brenda Hodge Berry, 40, of Maywood Road died Saturday at her home of natural causes.
Born Sept. 7, 1959, in Casey County, she was a daughter of Floyd and Sylvia Wesley Hodge of Eubank. She was a former employee of Stanford Wal-Mart.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Berry, two sons, Todd Berry and Chris Berry, both of Stanford; two brothers, Dewayne and Michael Hodge, both of Waynesburg; four sisters, Letha Woodall of Science Hill, Marylne Foley of Louisville, Shelia Bullock of Waynesburg and Rita Ping of Somerset; and a granddaughter.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fox Funeral Home by Jeff Coleman. Burial will be in Berry Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James and Ronald Carter, Dwayne Woodall, Frankie Todd, Darrell New and Johnny Berry.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.
