Born March 7, 1924, in Scott County, Tenn., he was a son of the late Tolbert S. and Dottie Blevins Terry. He was a World War II Army veteran, a retired farmer and a clogger. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. Survivors include three sisters, Lindell Stanley of Stanford, Anna Douglas of Lancaster and Verda Mallott of Fort Wayne, Ind. Services will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Mark Payton. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation is after 10 a.m. Tuesday.

PERRYVILLE -- Eva King Miller, 79, of Tank Pond Road, Parksville, died Saturday at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation. Born June 15, 1920, in Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Minnie Gooch King. She was a homemaker, the widow of Estill Miller and a member of Parksville Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Lola White of Harrodsburg and Wilma Taylor of Perryville; seven sons, Mitchell D. Miller, Truman L. Miller, Norman Miller and Kenny Miller, all of Parksville, Larry Miller of Goose Creek, S.C., and Buford Miller and Tony Miller, both of Danville; a sister, Elsie Stevens of Trainer, Pa.; two brothers, Oscar and Luther Miller, both of Pennsylvania; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Elmer T. Miller; and two daughters, Wanda E. and Eula M. Miller. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wilder Funeral Home by the Revs. Bill Boldt and Don Drake. WAYNESBURG -- James Richard O'Conner, 55, of Clear Fork Branch Road, died Saturday at Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center in Somerset. Born April 26, 1944, in Cerro Gardo County, Iowa. He was a son of the late James H. and Irene Hanna O'Conner. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Venoy O'Conner; two sons, Patrick S. O'Conner of Waynesburg and Shawn M. O'Conner of Candor, N.C.; two daughters, Tammy A. O'Conner of Somerset and Robin R. Sellers of Danville; a brother, Edward H. O'Conner of Fayetteville, N.C.; three sisters, Betty Shroder of Osceola, Iowa, Rose O'Conner of Forkland, Mo., and Nancy Slade of Graham, Wash.; and seven grandchildren. STANFORD -- Charles Curtis Harmon, 76, of Rice Lane, died Monday at his home. Born March 8, 1923, in Boyle County, he was a son of the late William and Lucy Carson Harmon. He was a former owner of Harmon Paving Co. and farmer, and a member of Stanford Baptist Church, the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 345. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a Silver Star recipient. He was the widow of Eva James Harmon. Survivors include two sons, Danny Harmon of Stanford and Terry Harmon of Orlando, Fla.; a brother, Carl Harmon of Danville; three sisters, Nancy Ewing and Martha Dunn, both of Danville, and Mary Alice Wilcher of New Salem; and two grandchildren. WAYNESBURG -- Services for James Matthew Bastin, 76, of Eubank, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home by Rev. John Silvers. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery. He died Tuesday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center, Lexington, following a farm accident at a Lincoln County farm. Bastin apparently fell off a tractor while changing gears. Born Nov. 1 1922, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Roy and Farbie R. Bastin. He was a businessman and member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Waynesburg. He was the member of the Ruritan Club in Eubank and the founder of the Waynesburg Area Rescue Squad and the Eubank Fire Department. He was an avid hunter. Survivors include his wife, Violet P. Bastin; three sons, Glen R. Bastin of Louisville, Russell M. Bastin of Somerset, and Mark A. Bastin of Somerset; three sisters, Dessie Caudill, Deltie Tackett and Mollie Wall-All, all of Eubank; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, James D. Bastin. MORELAND -- Robert Duell Coffman Sr., 76, of Louisville, died Wednesday at Norton Health Care Pavilion in Louisville. Born Aug. 4, 1923, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Robert Leslie and Agnes Coffman. He served in the Navy for 27 years before he worked in 24 years at the Naval Ordinance in Louisville. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife Edith C. Coffman; a son, Robert D. Coffman Jr. of Burke, Va.; two grandchildren; and one sister, Mildred Reed of Hustonville. He was a retired fence installer at Herb Geddes Fence Company. He was the widower of Della Mae Sanders Edwards, a veteran of the Army and a deacon at Bluegrass Baptist Church. Survivors include two brothers, Robert Edwards Jr. of Fayette County, Paul R, Edwards of La Grange; a sister, Patsy Shannon of Lexington; a friend, April Sawyers Burns of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews. Edith Shelton
CRAB ORCHARD -- Edith Singleton Shelton, 84, of Stanford, died Friday at Fort Logan Hospital. Born July 29, 1915, in Rockcastle County, she was a daughter of the late John and Della Singleton. She was a homemaker and a member of Crab Orchard Church of God. She was the widow of Ed Singleton. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Shelton of Stanford and Gary Wayne Shelton of Corydon, Ind.; three daughters, Edna Compton and Bernice Renner, both of Stanford, and Wanda Cornelius of Lancaster; three sisters, Vedina Walls of Stanford, Mary McKnight of Greenfield, Ind., and Evelyn Taylor of Williamsburg; 18 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by three sons, James Edward, Chester and Paul Shelton. Services will be 4 p.m. today at McKnight-Martin Funeral Home by the Rev. Dan Carr. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill and Bruce Hester, Roger Simpson, Kenneth Shelton Jr., Chris Shelton and David Morgan.

Emma C. Moore
INDIANAPOLIS -- Emma C. Moore, 85, of Indianapolis, died there Thursday at Northwest Manor of natural causes. Born Feb. 26, 1914, in Atterson, she was a daughter of the late Willis B. and Amanda Jane Marple Phillips. She grew up in Casey County, worked as a waitress and was the widow of Paul William Moore. Survivors include a daughter, Janie Briggs of Indianapolis; two brothers, Chester Phillips of Dayton, Ohio, and Jerry Phillips of Louisville; a sister, Edith Walton, of Sheridan, Ind.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Indiana by the Rev. Fred Tanselle. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may go to the charity of one's choice. Myers Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
