MARION INMAN
Marion C. Inman, 79, of Mercer County, died Friday, March 3, 2006 at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.

Born Jan. 16, 1927 in Crawfordsville, IN, he was the son of the late John Gilbert and Dorothy Nance Inman and the husband of Nancy Jenkins Inman.

He was a local real estate broker, developer and farmer, and the former owner of Farmers Elevator, Inc. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church where he was a deacon and a Sunday school teacher. He was active in the Gideons organization. He was a veteran of World War II, a Kentucky Colonel, a Mason and a former president of the Mercer County Farm Bureau.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: four sons, Marion Ray (Sandra) Inman of Mercer County, John (Sue) Inman of Shelbyville, Mike (Linda) Inman of Salvisa and Larry (Rita) Inman of Harrodsburg; one sister, Elizabeth Heckman of Burgin; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild, four nieces and one nephew.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 6 at the Hopewell Baptist Church with Bro. Brian Burkhead officiating. Burial was in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were James, Wes, Eric and Brian Inman, Chris McGinnis, Brian Lay and Rich Mundell.

Honorary pallbearers were the deacons and Sunday school class of Hopewell Baptist Church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Gideons International, P.O. Box 176, Harrodsburg, KY 40330.

MARY WHITE
Mary Neil White, 81, died Friday, March 3, 2006 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center.

Born June 17, 1924 in Davie County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Edna Earle Kurfees and Grandy Nash Ward.

Formerly a resident of Charlotte, NC, she was a graduate of Greensboro College and Juilliard School of Music. She was a member of the Charlotte Piano Teachers Forum and the Providence Road Church of Christ in Charlotte. Survivors include: one daughter, Kris (Winston) Preston of Salvisa; two sons, David White of Seattle, WA and Scott White of Albuquerque, NM; one brother, Jack Ward of Durham, NC, and two grandsons.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 7 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Mocksville, NC. Burial was in Jericho Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer¹s Association.

MARY YEAST
Mary Yeast, 81, died Monday, March 6, 2006 at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept. 10, 1924 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Anna Lou Simpson and the wife of Marshall Yeast.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Cornishville Baptist Church. She had been a Sunday school teacher and was a member of the Red Hat Society of the Harrodsburg Health Care Center.

In addition to her husband, survivors include: one daughter, Lavon Brown of Harrodsburg; three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Arvonna Smith; three brothers, Harley, Marshall and Bobby Simpson, and two sisters, Genetta Lewis and Floy Benton.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 8 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bros. Paul Readnour and Jack Geurin officiating. Burial was in Cornishville Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Fred Hood, Kenneth Riley, Hughes Coslow, Ronnie Long, Jeff Simpson and Tim Kidd.

Honorary pallbearers were Donald Keith Burke, Vonna Carol Whiteneck and Robin Lynn Kidd.

LILLI BRADSHAW
Lilli Mae Rousey Bradshaw, 70, died Monday, March 13, 2006 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.

Born March 15, 1935 in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Lena Rousey and the widow of James Ison Bradshaw.

She was a retired Boyle County school bus driver, a Mary Kay and Longaberger consultant and a member of the Junction City Baptist Church.

Survivors include: two daughters, Linda (Ricky) Cannon of Hustonville and Tina Rice of Harrodsburg; two sons, Jimmy (Jeleta) Bradshaw of Brodhead and Garry (Lana) Bradshaw of Harrodsburg; one brother, Tom Rousey of Junction City; nine grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 15 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Willoughby and Ronnie Ping officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were David Yates, Paul Wayne Yates, Joe Fletcher, Frankie Rousey, Ricky Henry, Bryan Rousey and Mark Rousey.

Honorary pallbearers were grandsons Andie Cannon, Elliot Cannon, Clay Cannon, Kevin Rice, Kyle Rice and Justin Bradshaw.

CHARLES BUERHAUS
Rev. Charles "Chuck" Buerhaus, 64, of Piedmont, AL, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006 at Riverview Hospital in Gadsden, AL.

A native of Baltimore, MD, he was the former pastor of the Harrodsburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He and his family had an active puppet and music ministry. He was a U.S. Army veteran and had served as pastor of churches in Kentucky, West Virginia and Alabama.

Survivors include: his wife, Charity Buerhaus; one daughter, Joy (Darin) Lampley of Paducah; three sons, Michael (Marla) Buerhaus of Lexington, Matthew (Misty) Buerhaus of Cullman, AL, and Mark (Sharon) Buerhaus of Hokes Bluff, AL; one brother, Leonard George Buerhaus of Baltimore, MD, and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 27 at the Piedmont Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Roy Moore, Rodney Ragsdale and Charles Parris officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Piedmont Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 23746 AL Hwy 9, Piedmont, AL 36272.

ADA DAVIS
Ada Bea Trower Davis, 74, of Harrodsburg, died Monday, March 13, 2006 at her home.

Born Jan. 2, 1932 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Ethel Young Trower and the wife of James W. Davis.

She attended Fellowship Baptist Church and was a receptionist for Physicians Exchange of Louisville.

In addition to her husband, survivors include: two daughters, Vickie Jones and Sandy Barnett, both of Tucson, AZ; two sisters, Allene Gordon of Danville and Jean Pittman of Clarksville, IN; one granddaughter, and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by one brother, George Trower.

Graveside services will be held Friday, March 17 at 12:30 p.m. at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with Bro. James Harley officiating.

Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home.

KAY FLOYD
Kay Johnson Floyd, 58, of Bruce Court, died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Oct. 29, 1947, in Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late T.F. and Pearl Mansfield Johnson.

She was a retired teacher, having taught for six years in Glasgow, five years in Mercer County and the remainder of her 32 years in the Danville Independent School system. She was a graduate of Western Kentucky University where she earned both her bachelor of arts and master's degrees, and earned her Rank I at Eastern Kentucky University. She was a member of the Xi Alpha Rho Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and Lexington Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Kevin Floyd of St. Louis, Mo.; and two sisters, Joyce DeVore and Marilyn Board, both of Bowling Green.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church, Danville.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Stith Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be made to Heritage Hospice.

THOMAS HOUP
Thomas Charles Houp, 69, of Harrodsburg, died Sunday, March 12, 2006 at his home.

Born Jan. 17, 1937 in Heidelburg, he was the son of the late Henry and Mary Estes Houp and the husband of Doris Lee Miley Houp.

He served during the Vietnam War in the Navy on the USS Saratoga, and he was a retired butcher and chef and an avid fisherman.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: three daughters, Laura Houp Cooper of Harrodsburg, and Melanie Toller and Julie Hockersmith, both of Salvisa; one son, Terry French of Augusta; two sisters, Martha Woosley of Lexington and Effie Stinnett of Nicholasville; three brothers, Hobert Houp and Virgil Houp, both of Nicholasville, and Earl Houp of Lexington; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Blake Houp; two brothers, Homer and Vernan Houp, and two sisters, Maude Corman and Geneva Tewmley.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 14 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Bro. Johnny Hockersmith III officiating. Burial was in the Shawnee Run Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Rick Toller, Paul W. Smith, Aaron Houp, R.J. Corman, Tom Cooper, Freddie Woosley, Kelly Toller and Lacey Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers were Kelly Toller, Lacey Johnson, Johnny Johnson, Kacey French, J.W. Shephard and Ariel Houp.

DELLA JORDAN

Della Burka Jordan, wife of Glenn R. Jordan, of Lexington, died Monday, March 6, 2006 at home.

Born in Mercer County, she was the daughter of Cordie and Oliver J. McGinnis.

After the death of her mother, Mrs. Jordan was raised by her stepmother, Elizabeth Harris McGinnis. She was a long-time member of Porter Memorial Baptist church and the Dorcas Class. Mrs. Jordan was employed by IBM for 18 years before retiring. She also worked at J.C. Penny in Turfland Mall for 10 years. Mrs. Jordan was married to Leo Joseph Burka until his death in 1995.

She is survived by one son, Leo Thomas (Nancy) Burka and two grandsons, James and Andrew Burka, all residing in Durham, NC; two sisters, Mrs. Earl (Frances) Balden, Lexington, Mrs. H. P. (Ann) Rexroat, Georgetown, one brother, Jimmy McGinnis, Lexington; five step-children, John Jordan, Oak Ridge, TN, Roger Jordan, Marysville, OH, Mrs. Paul Wong, Berea, KY, Mrs. David Austin, Lynchburg, VA, Mrs. Kenneth Sprankle, Roanoke, VA.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, Monday, March 13, at W.R. Milward Mortuary-Southland, by Bro. Bob Justus and Rev. J. K. Pierce. Burial will be in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be James Burka, Andrew Burka, Glenn Balden, Bill Balden, Kevin Rexroat, and Wade McGinnis.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 12, from 3-6 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, KY 40504.

ONITA MORGAN

Onita Bowen Morgan, 83, widow of William C. Morgan, of Willow Terrace Drive, Lawrenceburg, died Friday, March 10, 2006 at the Heritage Hall Health Care Center in Lawrenceburg.

She was born October 29, 1922 in Anderson County to the late Guy and Edath Houchin Bowen.

She was member of Glensboro Christian Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She served as an Anderson County School teacher for 33 years. She taught at Marlowe, Avenstoke, and Saffell Street Elementary. She was a graduate of Kavanaugh High School, Eastern Kentucky University, and received her masters from the University of Kentucky. She was named citizen of the month, a former tutor for G.E.D., member of literary council and community education council. She was President of the local school restoration of the one-room school, and she was a local volunteer for the AARP tax counseling service, preparing taxes for the Anderson County elderly. She was a member of the State Executive Council of Retired Teachers and the Bluegrass AD Council Agency.

She is survived by: one brother, Allen (Eva) Bowen; sisters-in-law, Nancy Bowen and Katherine M. Bowen; and a brother-in-law, Calvin (Betty) Morgan , all of Lawrenceburg; nephews, James Kenton (Erin) Bowen, Hebron, Allen Wayne (Ann) Bowen, Burgin, Jimmie Morgan, Lawrenceburg, Ronnie Morgan, NM, and John David Morgan, Lawrenceburg; nieces, Natalie (Tim) Norton, Jan (Tim) Thompson, Pam (Bob) Ware, all of Lawrenceburg, Patricia Tyler, FL, Charlotte (Jerry) Donovan, and Edath Parks, all of Lawrenceburg, Lela Stewart, Harrodsburg, and Saundra (Carl) Jackson, Louisville.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert Bowen, and Ralph Bowen, and a sister, Frances Thornsburg, and her step-mother, Rebecca Bowen.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 13, at the Gash Memorial Chapel, Lawrenceburg, with Bro. Truman McClain officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, and after 8:00 a.m. Monday.

Pallbearers will be James Kenton Bowen, Allen Wayne Bowen, Jimmie Morgan, Ronnie Morgan, Bob Ware, and Larry Armstrong.

DONALD PARKER
Donald R. Parker, 68, of Greenfield, IN, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006 in Greenfield.

Born Oct. 19, 1937 in Salvisa, he was the son of the late Harlan and Jenny Chapman Parker and the husband of Lela Eversole Parker.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and the owner of Donald Parker Construction. He attended Willow Branch United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: three daughters, Jennifer Bradley of Nicholasville, Michele (Andy) Mohr of Greenfield, IN, and Donette (Tim) Looper of Wilkinson, IN, and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, William and Kenneth Parker, two sisters, Hazel Edmondson and Madeline Yocum, and one son-in-law, Tom Bradley.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 10 at the Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home in Greenfield, IN, with the Rev. Carol Wiley officiating. Burial was in Cooper Cemetery in Greenfield.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

ASHLEE PENDYGRAFT
Ashlee Danielle Pendygraft, 19, of Harrodsburg, died Saturday, March 11, 2006 in Liberty.

Born April 30, 1986 in Pikeville, she was the daughter of Dewana Posey Anderson of Harrodsburg and Timothy Anderson of Pikeville and the wife of Joshua William Pendygraft.

She had been employed at Wendy's and Long John Silvers and was a member of the Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents and husband, survivors include: maternal grandmother, Shelby Posey of Pikeville, and maternal grandfather, Eugene Posey of Lexington.

Graveside services will be held today, Thursday, March 16 at 1 p.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery with Jack Guerin officiating. Ransdell Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

JAMES PERKINS
James Perkins, 84, of Harrodsburg, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.

Born April 21, 1921 in Whitley County, he was the son of the late Tom and Deema Hill Perkins.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and a former employee of the Clay Watts Stockyards. He was a member of the Mercer County Senior Citizens and enjoyed fishing and farming.

Survivors include: two sisters, Nancy Crooks of Florida and Imogene Hensley of Ohio; two caregivers, Homer and Debra White of Harrodsburg, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Dexter, L.P. and Harold Perkins, and two sisters.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 10 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Rick Snyder officiating. Burial was in New Providence Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Lee Prather, Stevey Watts, Scottie Baker, Troy Moore, and Donald and Jeremiah Edwards.

RUBY ROBARDS
Ruby Gordon Clarke Robards, 90, formerly of Harrodsburg and Brandenburg, died Monday, March 13, 2006 at the Wesley Village Senior Living Community in Wilmore.

Born April 22, 1915 in Nicholasville, she was the daughter of the late William Alex and Arizona Bristow Clarke and was the widow of Hugh Jefferson Robards.

She was a bookkeeper for Bluegrass Rural Electric and the American Red Cross, and had served as the Brandenburg city clerk for 20 years. She was a member of the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church, the Yates-Spilman Sunday School Class and the Beulah Clay Circle.

Survivors include: one sister, Mattie Jane Clarke Skidmore of Nicholasville; one niece, Dottie Clarke Broaddus; one nephew, William Alan (Mary) Clarke; one great-nephew, Daniel Ward Clarke; and special friends Mike and Meg Barnard of Harrodsburg, and Bobby Day and Anna Wilson of Nicholasville.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, March 15 at Spring Hill Cemetery with the Revs. James Owens and Nathan Day Wilson officiating.

Ransdell Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church, 102 S. Chiles St., Harrodsburg, KY 40330.

HALDON ROBINSON
Haldon G. Robinson, 78, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, died Jan. 24, 2006.

Born Jan. 23, 1928 in Salvisa, he was the son of the late Goodloe and Virginia Royalty Robinson and the husband of Jane Robinson. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and a certified public accountant. He was a senior technical partner for the accounting firm Haskins and Sells, and he served for many years in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He served as President of the Sawgrass Community Association and on the St. John's County Tax Board, the board of Vicar's Landing, and he helped found the Sawgrass Par Investment Club. He also established the Robert D. Haun memorial scholarship fund, honoring his accounting professor at UK.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: two daughters, Marnia Robinson-Wilson of Ashland, OR, and Jana Robinson of Ponte Vedra Beach; one sister, Ruth Robinson of Lexington, and two grandchildren.

A memorial service and inurnment was held Wednesday, March 15 at Spring Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Beck officiating.
