MILDRED CAMPBELL
Mildred Wilkerson Green Campbell, 68, of 257 East Street, Clinton, MA, formerly of Harrodsburg, died March 26, 2002 at the Emerson Hospital, Concord, MA.

A native of Fayette County, she was the daughter of Stanley and Margaret Greenup Green. She was the widow of Roy M. Campbell.

Survivors include: two sons, Alonzo J. and Michael A. Cornelius, both of Clinton, MA; one daughter, Carla M. Lussier, Clinton MA; two brothers, William C. Green, Versailles, and Paul E. Green, Homestead, FL; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Roy M. Campbell Jr. and one brother, Garnett Green.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 29, at the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home in Clinton, MA.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.

CARRIE CARRIER

Carrie Carrier, 81, of the Highland Community in Lincoln County, formerly of Harrodsburg, died March 31, 2002 at her residence.

Born October 23, 1920 in Letcher County, she was the daughter of the late Willard Calvin Baker and Julie Sergent Baker. She was the widow of Elmer Carrier.

She was a retired homemaker and a member of Mt. Moriah Christian Church.

Survivors include: a nephew, Henry Baker, GA; four sisters-in-law, Dessie (Eugene) Carrier, Waynesburg, Peggie Ann (Etherage) Carrier, Danville, and Evelyn (Ed) Kreiture, Dayton, OH, and Edith Young of Stanford. She was preceded in death by two infant sons, Ronald Lee and Michael Gordon Carrier; one son, David Lynn Carrier; one sister, Dottie Baker; and one brother, Luther Baker.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 3, at the Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford with Rev. John Lowery and Rev. Robert Cox officiating. Burial was in Mt. Moriah Christian Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Barry Carrier, Eugene Carrier, Etherage Carrier, Jerry Carrier, Vic Young, Robert Wayne Young, Lanny Hubbard and Ricky Wesley.

Memorials are suggested to Heritage Hospice, PO Box 1213, Danville, KY 40422.

CLAYTON CARTWRIGHT

Clayton Edsel 'Eddy' 'Hoss' Cartwright, 55, of 3724 Bohon Road, died Thursday, March 28, 2002 at the Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.

Born April 22, 1946 in Jessamine County, he was the son of Frances Robinson Cartwright of Nicholasville and the late Clay Cartwright.

He had worked in shipping and receiving and had operated a forklift for 38 years at Square D in Lexington.

He was an active member of Grapevine Christian Church where he served as deacon.

He was a member of the T. N. Wise #349 Masonic Lodge, was a board member of Camp Calvary and a member of the National Rifle Association.

He loved hunting, farming, and was an avid horseman.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: his wife, Geraldine Divine Cartwright, Harrodsburg; a mother-in-law, Betty Divine, Harrodsburg; two daughters, Janice (Scott) Bugg and Debbie (David) Teets, both of Mercer County; two sisters, Wanda (Johnny) Masters, Nicholasville, and Patsy (Billie) Burkhart, Hanes City, FL; three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 1, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Claude Waldridge and Bro. Leonard Price officiating. Masonic Rites were held Sunday evening. Burial was in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens, Jessamine County.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Hall, Bobby Hooper, Juan Guillen, Gordon West, Andrew Mills, Donald Thomas, Calvin Chrisman and Carol Perkins. Honorary bearers were members of Grapevine Christian Church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Camp Calvary, Whitehall Road, Willisburg, KY 40078.

ALBERTINE HAYSLETT
Albertine R. Hayslett, of 312 Woodsland Ave., died Tuesday, April 2, 2002 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

Born April 22, 1940 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of Lizzie Cox Robinson and the late Hugh Robinson. She was the widow of Gil Hayslett.

She was a retired seamstress for Cricketeer Manufacturing and was a member of Ellers Memorial Baptist Church.

Survivors include: one daughter, Abby Sallee, Harrodsburg; one son, Mike Patterson, Harrodsburg; one stepson, Donnie Hayslett, Harrodsburg; one brother, William Robinson, Harrodsburg; two sisters, Magdalene Pitt, TN, and Elizabeth Hardin, Harrodsburg; four grandchildren, three step grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one step great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Nathan and Hugh Robinson, and one sister, Josephine Phillips.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 5, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Bro. J. D. Short III, Bro. James Harley and Bro. Kenneth Whitehouse officiating. Burial will be in the Burgin Memorial Garden.

Pallbearers will be Charles Pitt, Harold Pitt, Scott McGinnis, Doug Robinson, Pat Hardy, William Lee Hayslett and Craig Peavler. Honorary bearers will be Steve Browning, Steve Claunch and Bobby Noel.

Memorials are suggested to Mercer County Humane Society, PO Box 314, Harrodsburg, KY 40330.

Visitation will be at the chapel from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday and after 7:30 a.m. Friday.

LORRAINE KEELING

Lorraine Smith Keeling, 76, of Mackville died Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.

Born May 21, 1925, in Mackville, she was the daughter of the late Will and Viola Smock Smith. She was the widow of George W. 'Billy' Keeling.

She was a member of Mackville Baptist Church, a member of the Kentucky Education Association, the National Education Association and Kentucky Retired Teachers Organization in Washington County.

She attended school at Mackville and graduated from Mackville High School in 1943. She was a graduate of Campbellsville College and was a retired elementary school teacher having taught at the Mackville school for many years.

Survivors include: two aunts, Edna Begley of Lexington and Virgie Isham of IN.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 30, at Carey & Son Funeral Home in Springfield with Rev. David Gifford and Rev. Harold Best officiating. Burial was in Peter Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jeff Russell, Bobby Lee Russell, Mike Yankey, George Masters, Lynn Cochran, Marty Hatchett and Gary Devine.

Memorials are suggested to the Mackville Baptist Church.

VIRGINIA PRESTON

Virginia Gritton Preston, 80, of Pine Hill Drive, Danville, died Tuesday, March 26, 2002 at her residence.

Born April 21, 1921 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Crecia Stratton Gritton.

She was a former instructor and seamstress at Palm Beach Co., and a member and former Sunday School teacher at Junction City Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her husband, Charles A. Preston, Danville; one daughter, Jane G. Preston, Danville; one brother, Maurice Gritton, Danville; two sisters, Mabel Shewmaker of Harrodsburg and Rosalyn Whitenack of Mercer County.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 29, at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home in Danville with Rev. Ernest Martin officiating. Burial was in the Junction City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Parker, Billy Willian, Floyd Preston, Jim Cloyd, David Whitenack and Alex Whitenack. Honorary bearers were Micah Cloyd, Jack Rice, Bill Wiggs and Leonard Upton.

GLENN WILSON

Glenn J. Wilson, 64, of LaGrange, died Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at his residence.

Born October 4, 1937 in Jefferson County, he was the son of Grace Deaton Wilson and the late Charlie Anderson Wilson.

He was a butcher at the old Lee Dog Food Company.

Survivors include: his wife, Janette Bruner Wilson, LaGrange; two daughters, Dorresia Kincaid, Lawrenceburg, and Zozra Poole, Frankfort; one son, Roger Long, Mackville; one sister, Beverly (Ronald) Jennings, Pendleton; two brothers, Charles Kenneth Wilson, Louisville, and Wallace (Pam) Wilson, LaGrange; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 30, at the Arch L. Heady Radcliffe Funeral Home, 311 W. Jefferson Street, LaGrange, with Rev. Barry Broyles officiating. Burial was in the Simpsonville Masonic Cemetery.

WILLARD YEAST

Willard Rue Yeast, 55, of Longview Trail, died Monday, April 1, 2002 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.

Born August 1, 1946 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late Claude and Juanita Morris Yeast.

He was a 1964 graduate of Harrodsburg High School, a graduate of Kentucky Business College and a U. S. Air Force veteran, having served in Vietnam.

He was an avid Miami Dolphins fan and had competed in auto shows.

He had retired from IBM after 20 years and was a former employee of Hitachi.

Survivors include: his wife, Patricia Tackett Yeast; one son, Shannon Yeast; one daughter, Tanya (Aaron) Taylor; one sister, Claudia Dunning; one grandson, all of Harrodsburg.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. James Harley officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Scott Moseley, Fred Brown, Bobby Grider, Brian Jackson, Aaron Butler and Ernie Kelty. Honorary bearers will be nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, and after 7:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
