OWENSBORO – Ruby Lynn Beller, 71, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005 at Owensboro Mercy Health System following a lengthy illness.
Born in Muhlenberg County Feb. 8, 1934, the daughter of Orville Parsons and Ruby Cartwright Parsons, she retired from General Electric in Owensboro.She was a member of Seven Hills Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Ellen (Lee) Ball of Owensboro; a son, Clinton (Martha) Jackson of Richmond, Va.; two sisters, Carrie Thompson and Ellean Murphy, both of Louisville; a brother, Bobby Parsons of Louisville and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Dec. 9 at Gary’s Funeral Home with the Rev. T.A. Prickett officiating.Burial followed in Union Ridge Cemetery in Belton.

C.P. Johnson
MADISONVILLE – C.P. Johnson, 87, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005 at his residence.
Born in Nebo, Jan. 19, 1918 to the late Clifton Pratt Johnson and Vada Frances Cates Johnson, he was a member of First Baptist Church and served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Jane Rice Johnson; two daughters, Lynne J. Durham of Madisonville and Kay de Mesquita of Kingston, R.I.; a brother, Raymie Johnson of Ocala, Fla.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 11 at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim McMurtrie and Dr. Joe Leonard officiating.Burial followed in Odd Fellows Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the American Legion Post 6 and VFW Post 5480.Barnett-Strother Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Leonard Harold Randolph
Leonard Harold Randolph, 83, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
Born in Muhlenberg County June 15, 1922, he was a boilermaker, an Army veteran and welder.
Survivors include four sons, David Randolph of Newburgh, Ind., Harold Randolph of Dale, Ind., Roy Randolph of Jeffersonville, Ind. and William Randolph of Calif.; a daughter, Doris Smith of Jeffersonville, Ind.; two brothers, Bob Randolph of Evansville and Frank Randolph of S.C.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Dec. 9 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Nall officiating.Burial followed in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Bremen.

Rebecca Jean Allen
BEECH CREEK – Rebecca Jean Allen, 57, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
Born in Muhlenberg County May 29, 1948, she was a homemaker and a member of Union Ridge General Baptist Church in Belton.
Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey Wayne Allen of Beech Creek and Kenneth Edward Allen of Beechmont; a daughter, Jennifer Sue Allen of Central City; a brother, Larry Walker of Drakesboro; four sisters, Lottie Brown of Beech Creek, Dean Rhoades of Belton, Margie Belcher of Kentucky Lake and Kathrine Bristor of Cedar Lake, Ind. and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Dec. 9 at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home with the Rev. Leamon Mefford officiating.Burial followed in Union Ridge Cemetery in Belton.

Bobby Ray Vaught, Sr.
BENTON – Bobby Ray Vaught, Sr., 69, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2005 at his residence.
Born in Muhlenberg County May 7, 1935, he was a chemical operator at Ferror Inc. in Hammond, Ind., a U.S. Army veteran and attended First Baptist Church in Benton.
Survivors include his wife, Adaline Greenwood Vaught; four sons, Gregory S. Vaught of Benton, Bob R. Vaught, Jr., Randal L. Vaught and Timothy C. Vaught, all of Whiting, Ind.; two daughters, Patricia G. Applegate of Whiting, Ind. and Michelle K. Forsythe of Hardin, Ky.; three brothers, Leroy Vaught of Madisonville, Reedman Vaught of Portland, Ind. and Sylvester Vaught, Jr. of Central City; a sister, Pauline Tooley of Eddyville; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Dec. 8 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. James R. Hale officiating.Burial followed in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City.

Bobby G. Middleton
BROWDER – Bobby G. Middleton, 67, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005 at his residence.
Born in Muhlenberg County Sept. 2, 1938, he was a retired end load operator for Reed Minerals in Drakesboro, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Browder Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son, Robert Middleton of Beechmont; a daughter, Glenda Lacy of Bremen; three sisters, Ernestine Hardison of Greenville, Louise Arnett of Owensboro and Jane Weightman of Evansville; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Dec. 12 at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Harrison officiating.Burial followed in Forest Grove Cemetery.

Dan Everett Jeffries, Sr.
GREENVILLE – Dan Everett Jeffries, Sr., 55, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2005 in Chicago.
Born in Tacoma, Wash. April 11, 1950, the son of the late Frank and Frances Jeffries, he was a truck driver and a member of Mercer Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Jeffries.
Survivors include three sons, Dan Jeffries, Jr. of Greenville, Ricky Jack Jeffries of Nelson Creek and Jacob Jeffries of Chicago; two daughters, Shannon Arnold and Brandy Nicole Jeffries, both of Beech Creek; a brother, Frank James Jeffries of Wis.; a sister, Mary Zaba of Chicago and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Dec. 10 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Odle officiating.Burial followed in Sears Cemetery.

Anna M. Strader
GREENVILLE – Anna M. Strader, 88, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005 following a lengthy illness.
Born in Muhlenberg County July 24, 1917, the daughter of the late W.B. Caskey and Pinkie Middleton Caskey, she was a member of Lone Star Baptist Church.She lived in Muhlenberg County her entire life where she performed election officer duties for several years and was employed by Production Credit Association.She was united in marriage to Bernie Glenn Strader on Aug. 9, 1942 and was the mother of four children.She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie Glenn Strader; infant son Gary; two brothers, Norvil and T.J. Caskey and son-in-law, Donald Vincent.
Survivors include a daughter, Glenda Sue Vincent of Graham; two sons, Jerry (Sandra) Strader of Greenville and Terry (Debbie) Strader of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sisters, Helen Bowers of Madisonville, Pauline (Charles) Chaney of Graham and Amelia Caskey of Evansville; five grandchildren, Alisa Garing, Debra Wolf and Donna Garing of Indiana and Jason and Jordan Strader of Greenville; a step-grandson, Jason Jennings of Calvert City; six great-grandchildren; one aunt, Mrs. Bernice Burnette and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Dec. 12 at Gary’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Stovall and the Rev. Terry Chaney officiating.Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery.

Wanda Jean Gunterman
DRAKESBORO – Wanda Jean Gunterman, 76, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005 at her residence.
Born in Muhlenberg County March 9, 1929, she was a homemaker and a member of Riverside Missionary Baptist Church in Drakesboro.She was a loving mother and grandmother and was loved by all she knew.God be with her in heaven.She was preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Powell and Willie Ruth Bolen.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, James W. Gunterman; three sons, Lowell T. (Joyce) Jones and William A. (Gloria) Gunterman, all of Drakesboro and Curtis M. (Kathy) Jones of Central City; two daughters, Charlotte A. (Larry) Shrodes of Drakesboro and Nelda J. (Ernest) Adcox of Greenbrier, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Dec. 12 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Chambers officiating.Burial followed in Coleman Cemetery in Central City.

Paul Mansfield
Paul Mansfield, 82, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital after a short illness.
Born in Muhlenberg County Nov. 3, 1923, the son of the late Robert Harrison Mansfield and Ruth McElvain Mansfield, he was a member of Mercer Baptist Church.He loved dancing, traveling and was a World War II Army veteran serving in Germany and was awarded a purple heart.He was a member of Local 136 U.A.W. of Fenton, Mo., the American Legion of Central City and the V.F.W. Post #5478 in Greenville.He retired from Chrysler Motors in 1981.He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 1/2 years, Alice Croft Mansfield on Aug. 14, 2000; a sister, Mable Stewart and three brothers, Hurshel Mansfield, R.L. Mansfield and H.R. Mansfield.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Burke Mansfield; a stepdaughter, Sheila (Bob) Lingerfelt of Robards, Ky.; two stepsons, Scott (Ina) Burke of Marion and Keith Burke of Henderson; a niece, Patricia (Kenneth) Carrol of Evansville; a great-niece, Angie Carrol of Evansville; ten step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Dec. 13 at Gary’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Curtis McGehee officiating.Burial followed in Corley Chapel Cemetery with military honors.

Adrain Hoyt Underwood
GREENVILLE – Adrain Hoyt Underwood, 83, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005 in Greenville.
Born in Belton May 20, 1922, he was the son of the late James Lucian and Willie Bell Underwood.He was preceded in death by a son, Adrain Brian Underwood.
Survivors include a son, James Murray Underwood; two sisters, Marilyn Rae (Carl T.) Underwood Davis of Dayton, Ohio and Norma Jean (J.C.) Underwood Raper of Pensacola, Fla.; a niece, Shannon Rae Taylor (Jerry) Burgin of Martin, Tenn.; a nephew, Carl Truman (Susan) Davis, Jr. of Huntington Beach, Calif. and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Roy Larry O’Bannon
POWDERLY – Roy Larry O’Bannon, 57, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
Born in Muhlenberg County July 2, 1948, he was employed at the saw mill.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki Waldorf O’Bannon; a stepson, Kyle English of Powderly; a stepdaughter, Katrinia Garcia of Greenville; a step granddaughter, Andrea Garcia; two brothers, Daniel O’Bannon of Bremen and Herbert O’Bannon of South Carrollton; four sisters, Brenda Barfield of Evansville, Ind., Linda Hafley, Wanda Bolton and Betty Hafley, all of Central City; several nieces and nephews.
A private funeral service was held.Tucker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Nellie Lorene Stone
BELTON – Nellie Lorene Stone, 88, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2005 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
Born in Missouri, Nov. 7, 1917, she was a homemaker and a member of Riverside Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Stanley Stone of Belton and Donald Stone of Virginia; a sister, Myrtle Whiles of Winslow, Ariz.; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Dec. 1 at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Chambers and the Rev. Wayne Dukes officiating.Burial followed in Meadowlawn Cemetery in New Port Richey, Fla.

Ruby Tomblinson
LOUISVILLE – Ruby Tomblinson, 81, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005 at Owensboro Mercy Health System.
Born Nov. 15, 1924 in Muhlenberg County, she was the daughter of Elmer and Della Schindler Milligan and a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church in McLean County.She retired as a nurse’s aide with Hillcrest Nursing Home in Owensboro.She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Lee Tomblinson May 28, 1974.
Survivors include three sons, Jackie Tomblinson of Centertown, Charles Tomblinson of Whitesville and Marvin Tomblinson of Beaver Dam; two daughters, Kay Redfern and Vicki Lynn Plienis, both of Louisville; three brothers, E.C. Milligan of St. Louis, Charles Milligan and Jimmie Milligan, both of Martwick; two sisters, Hazel Tunget of Martwick and Cora Mathern of Truth or Consequences, N.M.; 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Dec. 5 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with the Rev. Jeff French officiating.Burial followed in Centertown Cemetery in Ohio County.

Jerry Allen Minton
Jerry Allen Minton, 73, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
Born in Frankin County, Ill. Jan. 31, 1932, he was retired from TVA, a member of the Ceravo Masonic Lodge in Ohio County and a member of Nelson Creek Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by a son, Robin Minton; a brother, Jack Minton and a sister, Gail Rodgers.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Minton; three sons, Bruce Minton of Milwaukee, Wis., Tracy Minton of Royalton, Ill. and Sam Minton of Greenville; two daughters, Sherri Annable of Goreville, Ill. and LeAnn Farmer of Johnston City, Ill.; two brothers, Edward Minton of Savannah, Ga. and Rayburn Minton of Lapeer, Mich.; a sister, Nancy Huffstutler of Herrin, Ill.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Dec. 5 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. Donnie Wilkins officiating.A Masonic service was held at 5 p.m. Dec. 4 at Tucker Funeral Home.Burial followed in Nelson Creek Cemetery in Central City.

Amanell Skipworth Vincent
GREENVILLE – Amanell Skipworth Vincent, 82, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005 at her residence.
Born in Muhlenberg County Feb. 25, 1923, the daughter of the late Frankie Skipworth and Allie Gates Skipworth, she was the last charter member of Joines Chapel General Baptist Church and served the Lord performing many duties such as teaching Sunday School and serving on committees.She was an active member of Women’s Missionary Society and she loved the Lord.She served her family as a homemaker and housewife and loved her family and friends.She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy James (R.J.) Vincent in 2002; a brother, Ray Skipworth and a sister, Connie Walker.
Survivors include a son, Terry (Brenda) Vincent of Greenville; a daughter, Charlotte (Paul) Nuyt of Greenville; three brothers, Shellie Skipworth, Lonnie Skipworth and Frankie Lee Skipworth, all of Clifty; a sister, Lady Mae Settle of Clifty; five grandchildren, Michael Vincent, Jamie Vincent, Brian Turner, Ben Turner and Bradley Turner; 11 great-grandchildren, Jackson, Rose Mary, Megan, Macy, Jasalyn, Jordon, Matthew, James, Dayton, Tristen and Jailynn and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 4 at Joines Chapel General Baptist Church in Clifty with the Rev. Jerry Sweeney, the Rev. Tony Blake and the Rev. Travis Fox officiating.Burial followed in Joines Chapel Cemetery in Clifty.Gary’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Jasper Dauphin McConnell
Jasper Dauphin McConnell, 72, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005 at Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson.
Born in Muhlenberg County April 2, 1932, he was retired from the U.S. Army and a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Central City.
Survivors include his wife, Elenita Legion McConnell; four sons, Dr. Thomas McConnell of Oklahoma, Jacob Daniel McConnell, Jonathan David McConnell and Joseph Delbert McConnell, all of Central City and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Dec. 7 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Central City with Father Ben Luther officiating.Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City.Public visitation will be at 5 p.m. Dec. 6 at Tucker Funeral Home. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Terry Glenn Arnett
Terry Glenn Arnett, 54, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
Born in Muhlenberg County Oct. 12, 1951, he was a truck driver for Propane One of Central City and a member of Mercer Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Webster Arnett; a stepson, Greg (Ann) Coombs of Clifty; a daughter, Dawn (Bobby) Gibson of Jeffersonville, Ind.; two stepdaughters, Cherie (Daniel) Ware and Melissa Latham, both of Central City; a sister, Joan Whittinghill of Central City; a stepsister, Susan (Donald) Anglin of Grand Rivers and four grandchildren, Amanda Gibson, Ellie Coombs, Hannah Coombs and Jacob Ware.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 7 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. Curtis McGehee officiating.Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Dec. 6 at the funeral home.Burial will follow in Webster Cemetery in Butler County.

Irene Rickard West
SACRAMENTO - Irene Rickard West, 81, of Sacramento, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002 at Owensboro Mercy Health System.
Born Oct. 16, 1921 in McLean County, she was a member of Towers Chapel Methodist Church in Sacramento and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas F. West in 1986, two sons, Roy Franklin West in 1950 and J. T. “Buddy” West in 1990.
She is survived by five daughters, Jane Nall of Sacramento, Alice Chambers of Island, Linda Love of Calhoun, Kathryn Cissna of Poplar Grove and Beverly Ellison of Central City; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; three step great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Margaret Eaton of Island and Juanita Cox of Louisville.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 29, at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento with the Rev. Leslie Moody officiating. Burial followed in Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. Tucker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
