Preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Hardy Dupre and Jennie Lucille Jenkins McKinney; and husband, Francis Renteria.

BUECHE, EDYTHE JEANETTE SANCHES "SISTER"
A former school crossing guard in Baton Rouge and a resident of Prairieville, she died Monday afternoon, Jan. 28, 2002, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 76 and a native of Baton Rouge. Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Oscar G. Diaz, Prairieville, and Cheryl and William A. Atkins, Baker; two sons and daughters-in-law, John Steven and Shirley Bueche and Gene Gerald and Racelle "Rusty" Bueche, all of Baton Rouge; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Joseph J. Bueche; parents, Eugene A. and Helen Mayer Sanches; and a brother, E.A. Sanches Jr. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

ERVIN, CLIFTON I.
A retired custodian with the Ascension Parish school system, he died at 7:55 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at his residence in Gonzales. He was 50 and a native of Gonzales. Survived by two daughters, Elizabeth and Neomia Ervin; two sons, Clinton Landry and Harrison Ervin; a sister, Jessie Lee Harris; a brother, Elray Ervin; a nephew, a great-nephew, a devoted cousin, Joseph Elam; a devoted friend, Yvonne Wilson; other relatives and friends. FALCON, SR. FLOYD J. "BOO"
A retired production superintendent with Shell Oil Co. and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, in Thibodaux. He was 76 years old, a graduate and fan of LSU and lifelong resident of Donaldsonville. Survived by his wife, Marie Abadie Falcon; five children, Floyd J. Falcon, Jr., Gayle Falcon Culley, Jan Falcon Mabry, Lynne Falcon Thibaut and Mark E. Falcon; a brother C.J. Falcon, Jr.; a sister, Mildred Falcon Prejean; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A kind and loving husband, father, Paw-Paw and brother and a retired employee of Ethyl Corp. with 42 and 1/2 years of service, he died at 12:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, with his loving family at his side. Preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Sarah Forbes; sisters, Elnora McGowan and Connie Covington Sibley; first wife, Dorothy Arlene Baker Kyle; and a brother, Willie Forbes.

GAMMONS, SHIRLEY ANN CHILTON
A homemaker and a resident of Gonzales, she died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was 60 and a native of Campbellsburg, Ky. Survived by her husband, Perry H. Gammons, Gonzales; a daughter, Frances Moore, Gonzales; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Walter R. and Linda G. Gammons, St. Amant, Perry C. and Pam Gammons and Carl H. and John R. Gammons, all of Gonzales; a sister, Lois Dowden, Kentucky; two brothers, Ricky and Roger Chilton, both of Kentucky; and six grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Esther Edwards Chilton; and a sister, Carolyn Berry.

HOGAN, THOMAS IRBY
A retired maintenance mechanic with Ormet Corp. and a resident of Gonzales, he died at 5:51 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales. He was 79 and a native of Rayville. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of World War II. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Iva Nell Sims Hogan, Gonzales; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronnie Joe and Peggy Hogan, Gulfport, Miss., and Terry Wayne and Patricia Hogan, Prairieville; three sisters, Evelyn Thomas, Houston, Frances Glass, Bastrop, and Corrine Harrell, Delhi; five grandchildren, Thomas Joe and his wife, Sherry, and Shane, Kerry, Daniel and Timothy; and two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Heather. Preceded in death by his parents, James and Annie Carson Hogan; and a sister, Ruth Hogan. He was a member of Gautreau-Williams American Legion Post 81 and First Baptist Church, Gonzales.

LEE, JR. JAMES
A retired laborer and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 8:09 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Gonzales. He was 81 and a native of Darrow. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Survived by a son, Edward Lee, Darrow; a sister, Alma Ward, San Diego, Calif.; two brothers, the Rev. Eddie Lee Galvez, and George Lee, New Orleans; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. LOUPE, PERCY "RED"
A resident of Maurepas, he died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at his home. He was 88 and a native of Whitehall. She was 85, a resident of Donaldsonville and a native of Brusly St. Martin. Survived by a daughter, Pauline Rodriguez, Fairbanks, Alaska; a son, Harry Rodriguez, Sarasota, Fla.; a sister, Thelma LeBlanc, Donaldsonville; a brother, Weid "Billy" Landry, Napoleonville; three grandchildren, James Betbeze Jr., Jamie Rodriguez and Mary Beth Rodriguez; and two great-grandchildren, Abigail and Corrin Rodriguez. Preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Rodriguez; parents, Allain and Pauline Simoneaux Landry; three sisters, Bevian Charlet, Irene Hernandez and Doris Landry; and three brothers, Godfrey, Allen and Lawrence "TNom" Landry. SMITH, ROSEANNA L.

A native and resident of Donaldsonville, he died at 11:05 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. He was 69. Survived by his wife, Lydia Heary Stewart, Donaldsonville; three daughters, Linda S. Narcisse, Prairieville, Sherryll Stewart, Lemannville, and Senecca Preston, Cedar Hill, Texas; two sons, Bryan and Edward Stewart Jr., both of Dallas; two sisters, Ora Lee Bazille and Ethel Mae Harris; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three sons-in-law, Larry, Mark and Dana; a daughter-in-law, Shelia; and nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends. WILSON, CLOYD LEE "PUMPKIN"
A self-employed cement finisher with 22 years at Wilson Contractors and a native and resident of Sorrento, he died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Gonzales. He was 43. Survived by his wife, Sylvia J. Wilson; a daughter, Nekedra N. Wilson; parents, James Jr. and Bessie Smith Wilson; four sisters, Marilyn Foster, Carolyn Brown, Wanda Coleman and Stephanie Heatly; two brothers Anthony and James Wilson III; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by grandparents, Isaac and Anna Broudy Smith and James Sr. and Emma LeBlanc Wilson. He was a member of the Christian Assembly Male Chorus and the Abate Motorcycle Club.
