Nistoss Foster
Nistoss "Nissie" (Assaf) Foster, 86, of Milton died March 13 at Milton Hospital.
Born in Boston, she lived in Milton for 34 years.
She worked as an administrative assistant for 18 years at Howard Johnson's and then at Stop & Shop before retiring in 1995.
Wife of the late Malcolm W. Foster, she is survived by three sons, Malcolm W. Foster Jr. of Southboro, and David M. Foster and James F. Foster, both of Milton; a brother, Philip D. Assaf of California; and nine grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated March 15 at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, West Roxbury. Burial was in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.

Margaret M. Kay
Margaret M. (McDermott) Kay, 65, of Milton, died March 14 at Milton Hospital.
Born in New Jersey, she was raised in Milton and attended Milton public schools. She later moved to Brockton, returning to Milton in 1981.
Mrs. Kay was a retired Laundry worker who worked for over 10 years at Artery Cleaners in Quincy. She had also previously worked at Twin City Laundry in Holbrook, Boston City Hospital and Carney Hospital.
She attended the Cooperative Elder Services in Canton.
Wife of the late Leslie Kay, she is survived by a daughter Cindy A. Plouf of Plymouth; a son, Eric L. Kay of Milton; two brothers, Robert McDermott of Quincy and Phillip McDermott of New Hampshire.
Funeral services were held March 19 at the Russell Funeral Home, Brockton. Burial was in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
Richard J. Dooley
Richard J. Dooley, 87, died March 13 at Marian Manor, South Boston.
Born in South Boston, he lived in Dorchester for many years before moving to Quincy 10 years ago.
He was a sales engineer for Westinghouse Labs for 40 years, retiring in 1980.
He was a member of the South Shore Eye Opener Singing Group and the South Shore Blind Center.
Mr. Dooley was a tour guide at Castle Island and chorus member of the Castle Island Historical Society.
Husband of the late Isabel M. (Burgess) Dooley, he is survived by a daughter, Janet Dooley Simpson of Dorchester; two sons, Robert R. Dooley and Richard D. Dooley, both of Quincy; two sisters, Theresa McLaughlin of Norwood and Celia Sereda of Stoneham.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Agatha Church on March 17.

Eunice D. Pagane
Eunice D. Pagane died on March 27 at Quincy Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Born in Boston, she was a graduate of the Woodward School for Girls in Quincy and Simmons College with a degree in Library Science and attended several post-graduate courses in Library Science at Harvard University.
She began her career in the Thomas Crane Library in the late 1940s working in the bookmobile and the art and music room for children. She retired from the library in 1985 after over 40 years of service.
A resident of Quincy for most of her life, she moved to Fuller Village in 2000.
Wife of the late Warren H. Pagane, she is survived by a brother, George Blackwood of Colorado; a sister, Eleanore Tupper of Quincy; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and many cousins. She was the sister of the late Marie Gilmore and Rita DeNicola.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on March 29 at St. Agatha Church. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.

Francis A. Harris
Francis A. "Bucky" Harris, 92, a lifelong resident of Milton, died March 19 at Milton Health Care Facility.
Mr. Harris was born in Boston and was a retired self-employed electrician.
Husband of the late Elizabeth M. (Fitzgerald) Harris, he is survived by a son, John F. Harris of Milton; one sister, Mildred Malone of Milton; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated March 24 at St. Agatha Church. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.

Thomas F. Sullivan
Thomas F. Sullivan, Sr., 78, died after a brief illness in Falmouth Hospital on March 20.
Born in Boston, he grew up and lived in South Boston prior to moving to Braintree in 1973. He later moved to Sarasota, Florida in 1988.
He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific Theater. He participated in the invasion of Luzon and New Guinea.
After the war he became a Boston Police Officer serving in station 5 in Hyde Park. He retired in 1976 after a 30 year career as a member of the department. He was a member of the Boston Police Patrolman’s Association and the V.F.W.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria (Grassa) English Sullivan; three sons, Thomas F. Sullivan, Jr. of Tewksbury, Robert P. Sullivan of Braintree and Michael F. Sullivan of Milton; four sisters, Ann Dinnan of Florida, Mary Guilfoyle of Marshfield, Gertrude Craig of Hull, and Rose Sullivan of South Hadley; seven grandchildren and his extended family, Glenn and Anne English of Falmouth, Louis English of Braintree and Donna Lund of Marshfield. He was the husband of the late Mary (Jiava) Sullivan.
A funeral Mass was celebrated March 24 at St. Agatha Church. Burial was in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

James A. Dunn
James A. Dunn, 82, of Milton died unexpectedly March 19 at Milton Hospital.
Born in Malden, he attended Williston Academy in Northampton. Mr. Dunn lived in Milton since 1965 when he moved from Needham.
He was an Army Veteran of W. W. II.
Mr. Dunn was the former owner of Alden Press of Boston, a company his father owned and whom he worked for before he assumed ownership. He sold the business in 1991 when he retired.
He was a past member of Wollaston Country Club and the Cunningham Men’s Bowling League.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret L. (O’Keefe) Dunn; a daughter, Alice B. Dunn of Boston; two sons, James A. "Jad" Dunn of Quincy and Robert S. Dunn of Milton; a stepdaughter, Nancy A. (MacKenzie) Connelly of Milton; two stepsons, William R. MacKenzie of Westwood and Thomas C. MacKenzie of Milton; and six grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated March 24 in St. Mary of the Hills Church. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.

Mary P. Heavey
Mary P. (Luby) Heavey, 91, of Milton, died March 27 at Milton Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Jamaica Plain, she grew up in Roxbury. She graduated from Saint Joseph’s High School in Roxbury.
She worked for the Boston Public Library before her marriage to Martin Heavey, owner of Heavey’s Restaurant Inc. of Boston.
Mrs. Heavey was a former president of the Galway Ladies Benevolent Association and a member of the Irish Social Club of West Roxbury and the Irish Music Club of Quincy.
Wife of the late Martin J. Heavey, she is survived by five daughters, Mary P. Motta of Foxboro, Eileen A. Heavey and Margaret L. Heavey, both of Milton, Claire F. Rogers of Quincy and Attorney Geraldine R. Heavey of Melrose; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Agatha Church on March 31. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.

Rita A. McManus
Rita A. (Broderick) McManus, 80, died March 25 at the Harbor House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hingham.
Born in Dorchester, she graduated from Dorchester High School. She lived in Lower Mills for many years before moving to Winter Valley.
She served her country during World War II as one of the first female welders at the Charlestown Navy Yard.
Mrs. McManus worked for many years as a money room manager for the Capital Supermarket chain.
She pursued a degree in gerontology at the University of Massachusetts and spent a number of years working for the Kit Clark Senior Services Center.
She was the wife of the late Edward "Eddie" J. McManus, she is survived by two daughters, Marilyn McCourt of Norwell and Barbara Keohane of Milton; a sister Marie O’Toole of Braintree; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated March 28 at St. Elizabeth Church. Burial was in Blue Hill Cemetery.

Lawrence W. Casey
Lawrence W. Casey, 45, of Milton, died March 18 in Braintree.
Born in Boston, he was a lifelong resident of Milton. He spent summers at Hamilton Beach in Wareham.
He was a graduate of Xaverain Brothers High School and Suffolk University. He worked as a dispatcher for Kennedy Carpet in Weymouth.
He is survived by his mother, Marian F. (Duggan) Casey; a brother, Gregory M. Casey of Milton; two sisters, Dianne M. Casey of Weymouth and Marianne F. Mitchell of Milton; a godson, Richard Gilmore; and four nieces and three nephews. He was the son of the late Timothy P. Casey Sr.
