Ada M. Nazarian
Ada M. (Bertelli) Nazarian, 98, died on March 19 at Hancock Park Nursing Home in Quincy.
Born in Italy, she arrived in the U.S. at age 8. She grew up in Somerville and was a graduate of Somerville High School and Katharine Gibbs School in Boston.
She was a legal secretary for 10 years before retiring to become a homemaker.
She lived in Milton for 45 years and had previously lived in Dorchester.
Mrs. Nazarian was a State District Deputy Worthy Matron of Order Eastern Star, a member of the Hadassah O.E.S., Wollaston Chapter O.E.S. She voluteered for the Red Cross during World War II.
She was an avid gardener with over 150 different varieties of rosebushes among her numerous other different flower species.
Wife of the late Simon Nazarian, she is survived by three daughters, Barbara A. Walsh of Quincy, Lois A. Logan of Madison, Alabama, and Carol M. Johnson of Bridgewater, 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 23 at All Saints Episcopal Church in Dorchester. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.

Michael F. Vacca
Michael F. Vacca, 48, of Quincy, formerly of Milton, died on March 14 at his home.
Mr. Vacca worked as a sales executieve at Tingue, Brown & Co. He was a graduate of Franklin Institute in Boston.
He was a member of the Laundry Association, a former Milton Town Meeting Member and a coach in Milton Little League.
Born in Boston, he lived in Milton for 20 years before moving to Quincy three months ago.
He ran the Boston Marathon 10 times and participated in 10 other marathons.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy A. (Stenmon) Vacca; two sons, Matthew N. Vacca and Jonathan M. Vacca of Quincy; his father, Nicholas Vacca of Dorchester; a brother, John J. Vacca of Quincy; and three sisters, Jeanne M. Vacca of Quincy, Barbara R. Vacca of Dorchester and Kathryn E. Vacca of Braintree.
He was the son of the late Virginia (Thornton) Vacca.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Elizabeth's Church on March 18. Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston.

Thomas J. Colbert Jr.
Thomas J. Colbert Jr., 78, died on March 31 at Bostonian Nursing Care and Rehabilitation Center in Dorchester after a short illness.
Mr. Colbert worked as guidance counselor and math teacher at Boston Latin School for 30 years. He also taught in the Winthrop School Department.
After retiring from teaching, he worked as a self-employed insurance broker and real estate appraiser and was the owner of the Thomas J. Colbert Jr. Insurance Agency and City-Suburban Realty Co., both in Watertown.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
He was a member of the Boston College Alumni Association, the Harvard Club, Boston Teachers Union, Milton Seniors Social Club and Irish Charitable Society in Boston.
He was a graduate of Harvard University Graduate School of Education, a 1945 graduate of Boston College and Watertown schools.
Born in Boston, he was raised in Watertown and lived there until moving to Milton more than 50 years ago.
Mr. Colbert is survived by his wife, Eileen J. (Hennessey) Colbert and his business associate, Patricia M. O'Neill of Watertown.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on April 4 at St. Elizabeth Church. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.

Dr. Lewis W. Kane
Dr. Lewis W. Kane, 88, died on April 2 at the Clark House at Fox Hill Retirement Community in Westwood.
Dr. Kane had a private practice in internal and pulmonary medicine at both Massachusetts General Hospital and Milton Hospital. He was Chief of the Medical Staff at Milton Hospital for many years.
He retired from his practice in the 1980s. He moved to Westwood in 1997 after living in Milton for 47 years.
He was a member of the American Medical Association, Massachusetts Medical Association, past president of the Boston Tuberculosis Association, past member of the Milton Hoosic Club and the Harvard Club.
Born in New York City, Dr. Kane graduated from Gardner High School, Harvard University, Class of 1935, and Harvard Medical School, Class of 1939.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Russell) Kane; four sons, Peter T. Kane of Brockton, Christopher R. Kane of Greensboro, NC, Hugh R. Kane of Clifton Springs, NY and Oliver T. Kane of Greenwich, CT; two brothers, Manuel Kane of North Carolina and Albert Kane of New Jersey; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held April 5 at St. Micheal's Episcopal Church. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.

Joseph J. Nardone
Joseph J. Nardone, 84, of North Weymouth, formerly of Milton, died on April 1 at his home.
Mr. Nardone worked as an automobile salesman for Neponset Lincoln Mercury for 30 years before his retirement in 1980.
He lived in Milton for 25 years before moving to North Weymouth 21 years ago.
Born in Boston, he attended Boston schools and was a 1935 graduate of Hyde Park High School.
He was a talented trumpet player.
Husband of the late Ruth C. (Coughlin) Nardone, he is survived by a son, Joseph J. Nardone Jr. of Duxbury; two daughters, Ruth E. Finn of Marshfield and Rosemarie Quigley of Quincy; two sisters, Rose Kerrigan and Margaret Lombardi, both of Hyde Park; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on April 5 at St. Mary of the Hills Church. Burial was in Fairvew Cemetery, Hyde Park.

Benjamin A. Simeone Jr.
Benjamin A. Simeone Jr., 72, died March 22 in Jupiter, FL.
Mr. Simeone was the vice president and treasurer of his family's corporation, B.A. Simeone Construction. He retired in 1989 as President and CEO. He was a general partner of Simeone & MacKinnon Properties in Stoughton.
He served in the Korea War as a 1st Lt. with the 7th Infantry Division.
Raised in Medford, he was a 1952 graduate of Norwich University where he played baseball and was captain of the hockey team. He was inducted into the Norwich Athletic Hall of Fame in 1997. He received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Norwich Alumni Association in 1987.
Mr. Simeone was a trustee of the Benjamin and Inez Simeone Charitable Foundation, Stonehill College, Fontbonne Academy and Harvard Medical School Center for Blood Research. He had served as a trustee at the Good Samaritan Hospital and Caritas Christi.
He was a member of the Wollaston Golf Club, Jupiter Hills Golf Club, FL, 100 Club of Massachusetts, Boston Madison Square Garden Club and the City Club of the Palm Beaches.
Husband of the late Inez C. (MacKinnon) Simeone, he is survived by two daughters, Lauren DiRico and Nancy Grattan, both of Milton; three sons, Benjamin A. Simeone, William M. Simeone, and Gregory A. Simeone, all of Milton; a brother, Salvatore "Chubby" Simeone of Weston, a sister, Maria "Dolly" Luongo of Westwood, nine grandchildren and his companion, Bette Habig.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Elizabeth Church. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.

Alice W. Kast
Alice W. (Harlow) Kast, 86, died on April 10 at the John Scott Nursing Home in Braintree.
Mrs. Kast was an active member of the First Baptist Church in East Milton and belong to many of the church's committee's and groups. She was a homemaker.
Born in Boston, she was a graduate of Milton High School and lived in Milton for 30 years before moving to Randolph and then Braintree.
Wife of the late Frederick C. Kast, she is survived by two sons, Frederick C. Kast Jr. of Milton and Rev. Charles G. Kast of Chapel Hill, N.C.; three daughters, Ruth Blenkhorn of Richmond, VA, Maryann Chapman of Fitchburg and Alice K. Kast of Boston; a sister, Ruth E. Brown of Brentwood, NH; a brother, Richard Harlow of Shelton, CT; 10 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
A memorial burial service was held at the Spring at Milton Cemetery.

William McGinty
William Reid McGinty Jr. died in Gig Harbor, WA, on April 6.
Born in Milton, he graduated from the University of Massachusetts and worked as a Radiologic Technologist for most of his life, retiring from Children's Hospital in Seattle after working there 26 years.
He is survived by his wife, Sharron; two daughters, Gracia Macy and Patricia Anderson; a son, David Lockwood; granddaughters Mallory, Carley and Aubrey Macy and grandson Adam, and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Bellevue, WA on April 13.

Curtis Flight
Curtis Flight, 67, of Canton, formerly of Milton, died on April 18 at Caritas Norwood Hospital.
Mr. Flight was born in Portland, Maine and was educated in Japan graduating from Yokohama High School.
He graduated from Northeastern University in1956 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He later atttended night school at Northeastern and obtained his Masters in Engineering Management.
He worked for over 10 years with the Engineering firm of Whitman and Howard then went to work for Massport as a Senior Mechanical Engineer for the next 15 years retiring in 1996.
He was a member of various professional engineering organizations. He was active in the Parkway United Methodist Church of Milton and was a member of several committees at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church of Canton.
Mr. Flight and his wife travelled extensively over the past 7 years visiting 39 countries, notably South Africa and most recently China.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle H. (Westhaver) Flight; a son, Curtis E. Flight of Dover; a daughter, Linda E. Lull of Wellesley, and four grandchildren, Casey A. Flight, Christopher R. Flight, William H. Lull and Andrew A. Lull. He was the brother of the late Charles M. Flight.
A memorial service was held on April 12 in the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, Canton. Burial was private.
