Harriet Craig
Harriet "Marie" (Pelling) Craig, 84, of Milton, died at her home on April 8 after a lengthy illness.
Born in Ohio, she was a graduate of Ridgewood High School in New Jersey and Penn Hall Junior College.
She worked for Sinclair Oil Company and at the Walt Disney Company in New York City.
She was a member of the Milton Catholic Women’s Club, the Kupples Klub and the Women’s Bowling League at Cunningham Park. She was also active with the Milton Yacht Club.
Wife of the late Charles E. Craig, she is survived by three daughters, Barbara Marie Craig of Waltham, Patricia E. Craig of Northampton and Virginia A. Craig of Quincy; a son, Stephen C. Craig of Milton; and a sister, Emma Louise Diekman-VanSoelan.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Elizabeth Church on April 11. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.

Albert J. Benway
Albert J. Benway died March 30.
Mr. Benway served with the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He was the co-founder and owner of Benway Oil Company of Milton.
Husband of the late Mary C. (Harkin) Benway; he is survived by a son, Francis L. Benway of Milton; two brothers, Leo Benway of Virginia and Joseph Benway of Roslindale; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Elizabeth Church on April 3.

James M. Herrity
James M. Herrity, 76, died April 1 at Naples Community Hospital in Florida.
Born in Boston, he attended Boston schools. He lived in Needham for 20 years before moving to Mashpee where he lived for the past 30 years, spending part of the year at his home in Florida.
Mr. Herrity was a World War II Navy veteran and worked as a Massachusetts Highway Department supervisor.
He was a member of the West Roxbury Council Knights of Columbus, and the Needham Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, M. Virginia (Carroll) Herrity; a daughter, Maryann Duzan of Westwood; two sons, James M. Herrity Jr. of Virginia and Michael E. Herrity of Walpole; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late John Herrity of Milton.
A funeral Mass was celebrated April 7 at St. Agatha Church. Burial was in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

Thomas P. McSharry
Thomas P. McSharry Jr., 42, of Walpole, died on April 8 at Massachusetts General Hospital after a brief illness.
He was the Director of Implementation Services at Charles River Development.
Mr. McSharry was born and raised in Milton. He was a 1978 graduate of Catholic Memorial High School. He graduated with distinction from the College of Management Class of 1983 at UMass Boston. He was the founding president of the Student Accounting Academy at UMass Boston.
Mr. McSharry was a was a Certified Public Accountant and the former Director of Small Business Accounting Software for Ernst & Young’s Boston and Cleveland offices. He was President of Accounting Business Solutions Boston.
He was a former member of the Boston Athletic Association.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Ahearn) McSharry; a daughter, Mikaela C. McSharry of Walpole; his mother, Mary C. (Pierce) McSharry of Milton; three brothers, James McSharry of Sharon, Daniel McSharry of Brockton, and Patrick McSharry of Brighton; two sisters, Maryellen Disher of Plymouth and Margaret Radley of Milton, and many nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Thomas P. McSharry Sr.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on April 12 at St. Elizabeth Church. Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.

Maria Czapowski
Maria (Klimecka) Czapowski, 79, died April 3 at South Shore Hospital, Weymouth.
Mrs. Czapowski grew up in Poland and came to the United States as a young woman. She lived in Hyde Park for 30 years before moving to Braintree two years ago.
Wife of the late Marcelli Czapowski, she is survived by five daughters, Milton Police Officer Wanda M. Craig of Canton, Carol Klimecka of Randolph, Halina Raymond of West Roxbury, Barbara Borofski of Chelmsford and Margaret Mitchell of California; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated April 8 at St. Elizabeth Church. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Hyde Park.

Nancy S. Bailey
Nancy S. (Snow) Bailey, 80, of Milton, died March 30.
Born in Providence, she attended Westover School in Connecticut. She lived in Milton for 40 years and previously lived in Medfield. She was a summer resident of Cotuit.
She was a tennis and golf player and a member of Dedham Country and Polo Club and the Audubon Society.
Wife of the late Henry R. Bailey, she is survived by a son. Morgan Bailey of California; two daughters, Sarah R. Hackworth of Quincy and Martha S. Chamberlain of Colorado; and two grandsons.
Services and burial were private.

Mary A. Marad
Mary A. (Flynn) Marad, 89, died April 18 at the Milton Hospital.
Born in Boston, she was raised in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High School. She had been a resident of Milton for 63 years.
Mrs. Marad was a member of the Wollaston Golf Club and attended Bible Studies at Saint Agatha Church, was an avid reader and enjoyed her garden.
Wife of the late Raymond Marad, she is survived by four daughters, Mary Anne Ghantous of Roslindale and Manomet, Janice M. Blake of Milton, Kathleen E. Jones of Abington, and Karen A. Glancy of Braintree; two sons, David R. Marad of Florida and Richard P. Marad of California; three brothers, Joseph P. Flynn of Weymouth, John F. Flynn of South Weymouth, and Philip Flynn of Marshfield; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A funeral Mass was celebrated April 22 at St. Agatha Church. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.

Merlys Withington
Merlys (Ainsworth) Withington, 89, died April 18 at her Milton home.
Born in Worcester, she grew up in Wollaston attended Quincy schools and graduated from Quincy High School in 1931. She was also a graduate of the Modern School of Fashion and Design in Boston.
Mrs. Withington was a former member of the Milton Mother’s Club, League of Women Voters, and the evening division of the Milton Woman’s Club. She was an active member of the St. Michael Episcopal Church and served as a member of the vestry and also the pledges committee. She also served as the church secretary for many years.
Wife of the late Homer S. Withington Jr., she is survived by a daughter, Betsy Withington of North Attleboro; two grandchildren; and dear friends, Walter Bobkaitis of North Attleboro and Jerome Logue of Randolph.
A memorial service was held at St. Michael Episcopal Church on April 23. Burial was in Canton Corner Cemetery.

Helen R. Pugsley
Helen R. (Petrous) Pugsley, 66, of Milton, died April 16 at home.
Born and raised in Boston, she resided in Dorchester before moving to Milton 28 years ago.
She is survived by her husband, Robert F. Pugsley; two sons, Robert F. Pugsley III of Milton and Christian J. Pugsley of Quincy; a daughter, Elizabeth H. Forrest of Arlington; her mother, Rose (Lawn) Petrous of Arlington; two brothers, James Petrous of Florida and Anthony Petrous of Boxford; a sister, Stephanie Schutt of Groveland; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral blessing was held at St. Agatha Church on April 19. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.

Estelle M. (McGinn) Poelaert, 86, of Milton died at her home on April 25 after a brief illness.
Born in Boston, she was a graduate of St. Peter and Paul’s High School in South Boston. She was a resident of Milton since 1943.
She was a member of St. Agatha’s Guild, Cunningham Women’s Bowling League, the Kupples Klub at Cunningham Park and for the past several years she was a volunteer at Milton Hospital delivering flowers.
Wife of the late Richard D. Poelaert, she is survived by one daughter, Donna Poelaert Bowie of Milton; two sons, Richard S. Poelaert of New Hampshire and Stephen B. Poelaert of Duxbury; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
