William A. Anderson, Jr., age 72 of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed away unexpectedly January 17, 2008 at his home. Born January 5, 1936 in Quincy, Ma. son of the late Lillian E. Mattson Anderson and William A. Anderson, Sr. husband of the late Amparo D. Anderson, he is survived by a son Danilo D. Anderson and his wife Sharon, two sisters, Eileen L. Shattuck of Bel Air, Maryland and Pauline L. Anderson of Braintree, MA, two granddaughters, Christina Hagan and her husband Michael and Danita D. Anderson and her fiancé Christopher Powell, a niece, Sandra M. Mouck of Baltimore, MD two grand nieces, Marybeth K. Heckler and her husband Dan of Littleton, CO and Alexander M. Houck of Baltimore, MD, many cousins and a friend, Jean Tucker of Tullahoma. He was the uncle of the late Marjorie L. Booth of Bel Air, MD.

He was a graduate of Norfolk County Agricultural School, Walpole, Ma., Massachusetts Trade Shops, Boston Ma., and Jackson State Community College, Jackson, TN.

A former Marine, he was active in the Marine Corps League (Caddy Detachment, Quincy, MA.), Tullahoma Masonic Lodge #262 and various Masonic bodies in the Tullahoma area.

His remains were cremated and were interred with his wife’s remains at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma, TN.

He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.

Memorials in his memory may be donated to the American Lung Association or charity of your choice.

Braintree - Edward W. Archibald, 76 years of age of Braintree passed away at his home on Saturday July 25, 2009. He was born in Greenock, Scotland and received his earlier education in Scotland. He came to the United States at the age of 22 moving to Quincy. In his earlier years in the Banking Industry he was employed at the Quincy Savings Bank. He subsequently became Vice President and Treasurer of the Braintree Savings Bank where he was employed for a number of years. He was known for being extremely accurate in his work. He was also known for being a true Scotsman and he had a Scottish Brogue. He attended the American Institute of Banking and took Banking courses at a number of Colleges. He was a long time member of the Braintree Rotary Club and was a former Chairman of the Braintree Cancer Drive. He was interested in promoting benefits for the disabled and had raised funds for “The Ride”. He was also fond of Animals, especially cats.

He is survived by his wife Jessie (MacDonald) Archibald. He is also survived by his step-daughter Terry Bradbury of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. He was step-father of the late Nita Kierzkowski. He is survived by his grandchildren Melanie Bradbury and Tommy and John Bradbury all of Cape Breton Island. He is survived by a sister Myra Johnson of Scotland. He was the brother of the late John and William Archibald both of Scotland. He also leaves two nephews in Scotland.

A Prayer Service will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck- Russell Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington Street BRAINTREE on Thursday July 30, 2009 at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 7:00-9:00pm at the Funeral Home.

Memorial Donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street Framingham MA 01701.

Katherine E. (Kilroy) Kelly

Katherine E. (Kilroy) Kelly, 84 years of age, entered eternal life at the Colonial Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Weymouth, Monday, Feb. 15, 2010. She was born and educated in Boston. She resided in Weymouth for 24 years before moving to Seabrook, N.H., where she lived for 15 years. She was a longtime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, a member of the Catholic Womens Club in New Hampshire and the Telephone Pioneers organization. She was a communicant of the Miraculous Medal Parish (St. Elizabeths Church) at Seabrook and Hampton, N.H. She was a former active parishioner at the Immaculate Conception Parish in East Weymouth. Katherine was a retired operator for the New England Telephone Company. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Kelly. She is the devoted mother of Denise F. Leavitt of East Weymouth and the late Lawrence Larry Kelly. She is also survived by four loving grandchildren, Jeffrey M. Gore of Quincy, William E. Leavitt, Jr. of East Weymouth, Thomas R. Leavitt, U.S. Marine Corps stationed in North Carolina, and James F. Leavitt of Weymouth. There will be a gathering at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 870 Broad St. (opposite the U.S. Post Office in Jackson Square), East Weymouth, Friday, Feb. 19, at 9 a.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Church, 720 Broad St., East Weymouth, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. BRAINTREE - Robert F. Aspell- 78 years of age of Braintree formerly of Roxbury Entered Life Eternal on Wednesday March 10, 2010. Bob was born in Boston and educated in Boston Schools. Bob was deeply involved in sports throughout his life. He played football for 7 years in Football’s Top Park League with the Dorchester Gaels and St. Monica’s of South Boston. He was a baseball umpire in Bath, Maine with the Senior and Babe Ruth Leagues. He played softball for ten years with the Braintree Chief’s of the Braintree-Weymouth Fast Pitch League. He played for 2 years for the Adele’s with the Braintree Slow Pitch League. He spent 20 years in the Braintree Youth Hockey Association at the Squirt, Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget Levels. He was an Original Charter member of the American Legion Post # 0462 and a member of the McKeon AMVET Post# 0146 in Dorchester. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served with the US Marine Corps as a Sergeant. He was a retired Sheetmetal Worker and member of local #17.

Bob was the beloved husband of the late Ruth A. (Sherlock) Aspell. He is the dear father of Michael F. Aspell of Braintree; Robert Gary Aspell married to Annie Aspell of Saugus and Donna Marie Norrman, friend of Dennis Sullivan of Braintree. He is the loving boyfriend of Rosemary Blair of Canton. He is the proud grandfather of Bobby, Katie, Barbara and Sarah Aspell and Kristine Divris married to David Divris, David, Mark and Michael Norrman. Great-grandfather of James T. Norrman. Bob was the doting “Papa” of Gregory and Arianna Schaefer. Loving brother of Anne Bentley of Braintree, Claire DiPillo and Joan Brown both of Foxborough.

There will be a gathering at the Mortimer N. Peck- Russell Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington Street BRAINTREE on Saturday March 13, 2010 at 9:00amto be followed by a Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Thomas More Elm Street and Hawthorn Road BRAINTREE at 10:00am. The Reverend Father James McCarthy will be the Celebrant. Burial with Military Honors will follow at he Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Visiting hours will be at the Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00-8:00pm.

Braintree – Lucille Lillian (Lucia) Yetman 87 years of age entered Life Eternal at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, Fort Pierce, Florida on May 22, 2010. She was born in South Boston and was a former resident of Braintree. She was an organist, choir director and soloist at Churches throughout the Archdiocese of Boston. She taught music to children as well as working with adult choir members. Her services as a vocalist where often requested by the late Cardinal Richard Cushing. She was a substitute music instructor at Saint Anastasia Church at Fort Pierce, Florida. While living in Braintree she was an organist, soloist and choir director at Saint Francis of Assisi Church in earlier years. She was a graduate of South Boston High School Class of 1940. She resided in Florida in recent years. Lucille was the beloved wife of the late William J. Yetman. She was the daughter of the late Pietro Condangelo and Vincenza (Bruno) Condangelo. She is the devoted Mother of William P. J. Yetman married to Marcia Yetman of Fort Pierce, Florida, Christopher S. Yetman married to Margery Yetman of Woodenville, Washington and Virginia (Yetman) Irwin married to Vincent Irwin of Milo, Maine. Mother of the late Lucyann Yetman. She is survived by nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Lucille is sister of Frances Kennedy of Sutton, MA. She was predeceased by her brothers Luke and Frank Condangelo and sisters Mary Cady, Nancy Lidon, Elizabeth Chapin, Victoria Austin and Josephine Terry. Visiting hours will be at the Mortimer N. Peck – Russell Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington Street, BRAINTREE on Wednesday May 26th from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:15 prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Francis of Assisi Church 856 Washington Street, SOUTH BRAINTREE SQUARE at 10:30 A.M. Braintree – Eleanor F. (McCabe) Sheehan, 82 years of age, entered Life Eternal at the John Scott Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Braintree on Monday, June 14, 2010.She was born in Quincy and raised there. She graduated from North Quincy High School with the class of 1946. Over the years she participated in class reunions. She was a Braintree resident since 1956. She was a Red Sox fan. Eleanor had been a secretary for BayBank in Milton and Dedham-Norwood. She was also a Receptionist at the John Scott House in Braintree for eight years. She was a parishioner at the Church of Saint Thomas More in Braintree and a member of the Sodality at the Church. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. After the death of her husband she joined YANA (You Are Not Alone). She was the beloved wife of the late William Joseph Sheehan and the devoted Mother of William Joseph Sheehan, Jr. married to Eileen Sheehan of Jacksonville, Fla., Mary Ann Sheehan of Acushnet, MA., TWINS Michael W. Sheehan married to Mary (Faherty) Sheehan of Braintree and Peter W. Sheehan of Braintree, and Maureen T Sheehan of Braintree. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Mary Ellen McCabe, Catherine A. Bowser and Peter McCabe, Jr. A Prayer Service will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington St., BRAINTREE on Saturday June 19th at 10:30 A.M. Braintree – Sidney W. “Sid” Partridge, 82 years of age, a longtime Braintree resident passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the Quincy Medical Center. Sid was born in Boston and was raised in Braintree. He graduated from Braintree High School with the Class of l945. He spent a year and one-half in the U.S. Merchant Marines and went to India. He then joined the U.S. Army in 1946. He received the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal – Japan. He was employed as a Maintenance Mechanic for the Armstrong World Industries in Braintree for a total of thirty eight years. He had been employed at the Abrasive Products Company in Braintree in earlier years. Over the years he enjoyed attending Braintree High School Reunions both locally and at Kissimmee, Florida. He particularly enjoyed walking at the South Shore Plaza and other locations and socializing with family and friends. Sid was known to be a very pleasant and outgoing person. Sid said that he was a member of the “Romeo Club” – Retired Old Men Eating Out at Ashley’s Restaurant in South Braintree Square as well as other local restaurants. He enjoyed gardening and traveling. He was the son of the late William O. Partridge and Esther (Blomquist) Partridge. He was the brother of the late William, Lynde “Pat” and Frank Partridge. He is survived by his sister-in-law Jean Partridge of Jefferson, Wisconsin. He is survived by nieces and nephews Linda Bantz married to Jack Bantz of Randolph, Diane Partridge of Jefferson, Wisconsin, Sandra Partridge-Lydon of South Weymouth, William “Billy” Partridge of Brockton, Steven Partridge married to Karen Partridge of Phoenix, Arizona, Robert “Bob” Partridge of Braintree and Lisa O’Connor married to Glenn O’Connor of Braintree. He is also survived by great nieces and great nephews Erik Coggins, Michael Otto, Bradford Bantz, Sara O’Connor, Lee Bantz, Catherine MacPherson, Patrick Partridge and Joseph Lydon. He was the longtime companion of Lorraine Moore of Merritt Island, Florida. A Funeral Service will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck – Russell Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington St., BRAINTREE on Thursday, June 17th at 10:30 A.M. The Reverend Terry Martinson will officiate. Burial will follow the funeral service at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, June 16th from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Weymouth – Alan D. Andrews, 88 years of age, of East Weymouth passed away at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston on Thursday June 17, 2010. He was born in Scituate and educated in Scituate Schools. He was a Mail Handler for the U.S. Post Office principally at the South Postal Annex in Boston and also at Quincy and Braintree. In his early years he served with Civil Conservation Corps in the West before becoming a member of the Peacetime Army and later a member of the Army during W.W.II. He served in the American Theatre and European Theatre of operations. He served with the 172nd Field Artillery Battalion. He was a member of Clan McGregor in Quincy. He belonged to the Weymouth Senior Citizens and the bowling leagues. He was a former Sunday School Teacher at the East Weymouth Congregational Church. He is the beloved husband of Betty Louise (Langhorst) Andrews and the devoted father of Sara C. Stinson and her husband Timothy Stinson of Holbrook and James Douglas Andrews of East Weymouth. He is survived by his sister Jean Pikul of Virginia. He was the brother of the late Raymond Andrews. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck – Russell Peck Funeral Home 870 Broad Street (opposite the U.S. Post Office in Jackson Square) EAST WEYMOUTH on Sunday, June 20th, at 4:00 P.M. The Reverend Judith Martowska pastor of the East Weymouth Congregational Church will officiate. Visiting hours will precede the funeral service commencing at 2:00 P.M. Relatives and friends invited. Braintree – Alice R. (MacKay) Esau, 88 years of age entered Life Eternal at the Royal Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of Braintree on Thursday, July 29, 2010 after a long illness. She was born in Dorchester (Boston) MA. on August 21, 192l to Oscar and Laura MacKay. Alice was a graduate of the Dorchester High School for Girls. She was the wife of the late Thomas B. Esau to whom she was married for forty-eight years prior to his death in 1999. They resided in Quincy during their marriage. Both she and her husband were summer residents of Prudence Island, R.I. Prior to her marriage Alice was employed in the accounting division of “The Boston Globe”. She was a faithful homemaker until her children went to college. She then worked in the Tax Collectors Office for the Town of Braintree until her retirement in the late l980’s. She was predeceased by her six siblings. She is the loving mother of David Esau and his wife Nancy of East Greenwich, R.I., Donna Bains and her husband Joseph of Braintree and , Prudence Island, R.I., Thomas Esau, Jr. of Portland, Oregon and George Esau and his wife Jayne of Quincy, She is survived by two granddaughters Mikaela Esau and Molly Esau of East Greenwich, R.I. Mrs. Esau was great cook and baker. She loved to sew.She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Braintree and the Union Church of Prudence Island, R.I. A Funeral Service will be held at The First Baptist Church 594 Washington Street, Braintree on Tuesday, August 3rd at 11:00 A.M. The Reverend Robert Killeffer will officiate. Burial will follow at Milton Cemetery. A collation will follow the burial at the First Baptist Church. Visiting hours will be at the Mortimer N. Peck –Russell Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington Street, BRAINTREE on Monday, August 2nd from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. She was born in Boston the daughter of the late Ignatius and Constance Markunas She was wife of the late James J. Bowlen and mother of the late Joseph J. Bowlen. She is survived by a son Robert J. Bowlen of Easton and by two daughters Janet M. Hubley of Holbrook and Patricia M. Sullivan of Michigan. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Antoinette was a homemaker devoted to her family. She resided in Holbrook for the past several years and was a former longtime resident of Abington and Hyde Park. She enjoyed playing bingo, sewing and crocheting as well as reading. A Prayer Service will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck – Russell Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington St., BRAINTREE on Thursday, August 5th at l2:00 Noon. Visiting hours will precede the Prayer Service from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Prayer Service. Burial will be in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Rockland. Relatives and friends are invited.
